Midnight Starfall

About a week ago, I bought Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. I played Dual Destinies and loved it, so I was excited for Spirit of Justice. I'm not too far into it yet, but it's great so far. Ever since Wind Waker HD was made into a Nintendo Select, I was dying to have it. It was totally worth it. I've gotten all three pearls so far! I love the cute, cartoony graphics as well.

@@Glitter Glue, Skyla looked down at the objects, wondering what they were for. She pointed to the magician's supplies and said, "What do these do? They look really cool." She couldn't help but share the mare's enthusiasm. "Then you can teach me some tricks!" Skyla said excitedly, a grin spreading across her face.

@@Wolves, Skyla nodded and said, "Yep, my name is Skyla. I'm sorry that I held you up." Without wanting to trouble them further, Skyla waved and trotted off, saying, "Hope to see you guys around!" @@Glitter Glue, Skyla continued her tour around the festival. She came into a section of tents and small stages for smaller performances. She stopped at the sight of glimmering lights and a sign for magic lessons. "I've never seen a magic show before...," Skyla thought aloud. She decided to stick around for a moment to see if the show started soon.

@@Wolves, Skyla, reassured, folded back her wings. Watching Cyan pet the lion so casually, she said, "Wow, you guys must be really good with animals. I really liked your performance, especially the fruit bats and the colorful birds. I'll admit, I'm not too fond of animals..." Skyla looked at the lion in the cage. He didn't look as scary as when he roared on-stage, but it still made her uneasy to be this close to him.

@@Wolves, Skyla was lost in thought as somepony bumped into her. She heard the pony apologize many times. Skyla turned around and gave her a smile. "It's fine! It's no trou-," Skyla paused as she saw the lion cage they were handling. She was already wary of it on-stage; she never imagined coming this close to a lion. "Oh my gosh, I'm r-really sorry I was in your way..," she stuttered. She instinctively had her wings around her as if they were a shield.

@@DwhitetheGamer, Skyla clapped for the singer from her place under the tree. She loved the song he sung. While she just wanted to sit there and watch the performances, her whole body felt stiff. She got up, stretched her limbs and wings, and decided to take a walk. She wandered throughout the festival, looking at the booths and seeing many performers setting up. "It would be so cool to have a flight show. Or something that really compliments the night sky," Skyla thought aloud as she aimlessly wandered the festival.

I finished Mekakucity Actors! The ending was really sweet, and I loved the music in the series. I don't really know what to watch next though. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking RE:Zero, since I've seen it everywhere lately. @@Discordian, I'm the same way. I've mostly watch romcoms and SoL animes. But, I do have a recommendation. Danganronpa is a really good series. It's a murder mystery that does have blood (it's pink); however, it can get a bit cheesy at times, especially the first one. I do know it is on DVD. I think it's called Danganronpa: The Animation. It is also a game, so people tend to start with the anime and end up getting the games. Personally, I've never seen the first anime, since I discovered the games first. I'd recommend watching it though to start out the series.

I just noticed this thread. .-. Hello everyone! I'm fairly recent to anime, so I haven't seen too many shows. My favorites are Madoka Magica, No Game No Life, and SAO. I'm currently watching Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak Academy (Just finished episode 4 on both arcs) and Mekakucity Actors (Finished Episode 9). I'm also open to any recommendations.

@@DwhitetheGamer, Skyla jerked awake as she heard the ending of a song. She shook her head and looked up to see a performer finishing his song. "Oh no, I fell asleep," she said, half-awake and angry with herself. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, noticing a larger crowd in front of her than there was before. "I hope I didn't miss the whole performance," she said as she now focused her attention on the stage.

@@Wolves, Skyla felt a little relieved as the lion finished it's performance and went backstage. She still thought highly of the performance so far. She watched as the performers wheeled an eagle, a hawk, and fruit bats on stage. "Wow, they're all so cool!" she said as they started performing tricks. She especially liked the falcon swooping down into the fiery hoop. A small part of her really liked daredevil flying tricks, but she could never do that herself.

@@Wolves, Skyla watched as the performers brought out a lion. Skyla was never downright afraid of animals, but she wasn't too fond of them either. She visibly flinched as the lion let out a piercing roar. Although the roar put her on edge, she watched the lion and its trainer perform amazing tricks in awe. "Wow..," she said aloud.

@@Wolves, Skyla focused her attention on the performance as a pony on-stage wheeled some birds from backstage. She watched as the birds were set free and performed amazing tricks. The light made their feathers glow like Skyla has never seen. "Wow, it's amazing," she said to no one in particular as a grin spread across her face. The Festival was already exceeding her expectations.

@@Glitter Glue, Skyla heard the announcement just as she finished her food. She dusted the crumbs off of her face and coat and turned her eyes toward the stage. She heard the part about a pony not showing up and thought aloud, "Why would anypony be late to the Festival?" She shrugged away the thought and waited to see the next performance.

@@Unicorncob, "It's nice to meet you!," Skyla smiled warmly and continued, "I don't want to hold up anything, so I'll be around the festival. I'll be sure to visit the restaurant sometime during the week." With that, Skyla gave her a wave and trotted off. Skyla looked around and found a tree near the main stage to sit under. The moonlight filtered through the leaves, casting Skyla in a white glow. She sat down and ate quietly, looking around at the festivities. She occasionally glanced up at the starlit sky, just taking everything in.

@@Unicorncob, Skyla nodded and said, "Really? If you're the best, I'd love to go sometime! I'm from Ponyville, so I've never been here. Might as well go sightseeing and such while I'm here for the week of the Festival." She smiled, but then an apologetic look crossed her face. "I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Skyla, what's yours?" She extended her hoof to shake.

@@Unicorncob, Skyla pulled out a tiny wallet tucked under her wing. She counted out four bits from inside the wallet and put them on the counter in front of the pony. "Thank you," she said politely. She grabbed the foil bag and set it on her back. She decided to make small talk, since she had no idea what else to do or where else to go. "Is this your first time at the Shining Star Festival?"

@, Skyla finally found a space between two ponies in the middle. She squeezed between them, muttering, "Sorry." She looked up as the show started. She was dazzled by the lights, the performers, and the host. A grin slowly spread across her face. The fireworks that went up soon after made her eyes light up. She stood there as the crowd dispersed, bubbling over with excitement. Her very first Shining Star Festival had began. She gazed around, wondering what to do next. "I guess I could go see the other performances? Or get some food?" she thought aloud. @@Unicorncob, Skyla wandered over to a nearby food stand. She looked at all the snacks, deciding what to get. "Excuse me? Can I get a couple mini pizzas please?" she asked the pony running the booth.

Skyla walked toward the huge crowd gathering in front of the stage. She didn't walk in a particular hurry; she was taking the whole festival in. She looked at all the booths, the food, and she glanced up at the stars every once in a while. She kept running into ponies, giving them a quick "Sorry, excuse me." She arrived at the edge of the crowd, gazing up at the stage. She couldn't see quite clearly from the edge of the crowd. She flapped her wings and left the ground, looking for an open place to watch the performances. "Excuse me, sorry. I don't mean to be rude..," she said to anypony that complained of her being in the way.

"Dear visitors and performers! The gates to a week of parties and fun is about to be opened. The grand opening shall start in fifteen minutes at the main stage, so please do hurry over there as soon as you get in. We wish you an exciting and memorable Shining Star Festival experience!" Skyla heard the announcement and turned her attention towards the gates. Her wings were fluttering so fast that she hovered a few centimeters off the ground. A huge smile was plastered onto her face. This is it! My first Shining Star Festival! She watched as a member of the Guard went and opened the gates, allowing everypony passage to the Festival. Skyla hung back a bit to avoid being trampled. After waiting a minute or so, she made her way into the festival, heading for the main stage.

Skyla waited near the entrance with everypony else, her wings fluttering excitedly. She was located on the edge of the group of visitors. Her eyes were drawn to the sky slowly fading into darkness. She realized she was too early, but to her, it was worth it to see the sun go down and the stars come out. Her thoughts wandered first to the sky, then the crowd, then the festival itself. She wasn't much of a party-goer, but she hoped to see some good performances and meet some new ponies. Maybe I'll meet a new friend? she thought excitedly.
