I'm assuming you're speaking for PC over console, and I'll agree.   Though to each their own set of priorities. There are times I personally mourn the lack of power in my PC to render some games.

Yes, there are good PC games for your toaster. I can name a few:

DOOM, Deus Ex, Half-life, Metal Slug, Thomas Was Alone, AVGN Adventures, Quake, the list can go on.

I buy most everything from Amazon, though.

When I was choosing PC parts on PCPartPicker, I tried getting only the things that were available on Amazon. If it wasn't, I would pass because I don't want to sign up to five different sites without knowing much about them.

I prefer the PC because of freedom, not graphics.

One time my brother was playing Red Dead Redemption and then the game crashed. Later when we tried to reset the game and load the last save, we gotten a bunch of things like NPC models of people replacing snakes and jaguars.

It was pretty freaking hilarious.

Emulators are kind of a bad way to play games. I mean, I'll play them under certain circumstances, but many of them (especially ones for 6th gen+ consoles) suffer from huge famerate drops unless you have a top-of-the-line PC. 

 

I've seen people gush over Dolphin and PCSX2 emulators being able to play in 1080p HD and all that, but I can barely run them in STANDARD definition/fast mode, and my PC can run many Steam games smoothly.

 

Also, I can tell the "Taco Tuesday" joke is going to be run into the ground so much it's going to become unfunny after a while. Same thing happened to "Muffins" and "Peanut Butter Crackers," not to mention "Gak." Speaking of which, why are there so many "brony memes" about food anyway?

I cannot be able to play any emulators above the PS2 on my machine. Funny considering I can play Left 4 Dead on some very high settings. Likely because of the lack of optimization for AMD processors, which is what I depend on.

I mean, THE WII'S PROCESSOR IS AMD MANUFACTURED AND THE EMULATOR IS FOR INTEL. HOW!?!?

My mom said that my PC parts came in the mail at her house.

Can't to wait to see it all put together on Wednesday.

 

Also, I got a bunch of Left 4 Dead 2 mods. I have a Shrek tank, Tourettes Guy smoker, "MINE!" pickup sound, DOOM auto-shotgun, and sad airhorn death music.

Well, I did get two of the six parts I needed from the box. I got the motherboard and the case.

All I need now is the PSU, RAM, APU, and HDD.
