  1. Depends for me.  I can generally pick and choose EDM songs from different artists.  This is true for Hardcore, as well.  I usually don't do full albums unless the album was made to be listened to as a cohesive whole (see the Misery Signals discography, BTBAM's albums after Colors, Defeater's Empty Days and Sleepless Nights, etc.)

  2. It also really depends on what measuring stick we're using.  Shining Force Central has been around a damn long time, and still has yet to break 10k members.  And on the other end of the spectrum, you have forums like Something Awful, who's membership number is up near 150k.

As far as normal post quality and design goes, pound for pound, this forum is damn good at what it does.

  3. Once they stopped playing for one reason or the other, I attempted to continue on.  It is not an enjoyable game without friends, I found.  I definitely prefer playing with others since we made up much of the stories, goofing off and having fun.  Without them, you sort of realize you're doing nothing but killing X amount of creatures and turning the quest in, only to do the same thing ten minutes later.  Or maybe you're collecting X amount of items, and once more, turning that in.

It's dull, repetitive, and unless you're a die hard fan of the franchise, will get boring very soon.  Yes, there are interesting things to still find, but you'll do nothing but have kill/collect quests the entire way.

It may be because I'm older and grew up in a world where gaming with your friends was something done exclusively on the couch and not over the internet, but I don't find this to be true.  Some people do love the grind.

That said, WoW is a very solid game, but I wouldn't get it unless you have the time to burn.  It can take a good while to do the content.

  4. The chug is strong in this one.

Sounds like they've updated their tone.  It sounds more full.  Drum tone has improved, as well.  Stoked.

  5. Looks alright to me, but I still have a lowly iPhone 4.  I'm sure all that fancy mathematics will gum up my phone's two year old processor.

Besides, I'm getting a Galaxy S4 this weekend for my upgrade.  I'm good.

It looks really good like that.

I think I may have posted this somewhere in this huge stack of thread pages, but I'm feeling good about it, because...

I've lost about 20 pounds since this picture was taken in December.

  7. Checking out the newer Arsis and I'm happy they decided to go back in their original direction.  Sounds much more like Face of My Innocence.

Also, has anyone check out Loma Prieta?  They strike me as very chill.  Not "zone out and drone" chill like I get from Deafheaven, but maybe a more amped version of that?

  8. There are two ways I'd like to see it done:

A:  Fire Emblem style, a turn based strategy with loads of Paralouges (side quests) and optional character development for added depth.

    or

    B:  A SMW styled 2D platformer.

I don't like the idea of our colorful horses in 3D.  No render would ever look like the show.

  9. Mother.  Fucking.  Starcraft.

I know the strategies, and some timings, just from watching so many pro games for so long.  I love the chess-like aspect and I've studied the how pretty hard.

The problem is getting my hands to listen while I'm playing.  My head is so far ahead of my fingers on that.
