Day One, Season 1: Twilight is a shy, smart pony who moves into a new town and makes 5 new friends. Gets the elements and defeats Nightmare Moon.

Final day, Season 4: Twilight, with her 5 friends, uses Rainbow Power which essentially acts like the elements to defeat the greatest threat to Equestria, Tirek. She also gets to have her own castle in Ponyville.

 

If that's not a transformation of where the show has gone from day one to day "kick evil's butt" then I'm leaving this fandom.

The transformation was slow and steady and it just felt natural because all those accomplishments on bonding with one another felt naturally paced. There's NO way where a teen can immediately become an All-Star leader without slow and steady growth, and I find that to be very special

still didn't feel natural, it felt normal till she got magic HGH and become a "princess". it just seems wrong, if its so easy to do then why aren't there 10 times more alicorns?

i know character growth is important is all, but it didn't feel natural. all the season 4 episodes i saw felt tainted, like they wanted to start a new show but had to stick to this one.  

Since last year I've been really confused with all the support that twilight's coronation got. I mean I assumed the show was dead once  that happened but it just got more popular. do people really like the new show? I just don't understand how people can enjoy it anymore. So i need help in seeing it from there POV. So far i can't figure it out, so i thought coming here and asking around would help me get answers. I just want to enjoy the show again and if coming to grips with what happened is necessary then i want to know how other people where able to push through to liking it again. Thank you. 

People who like Adventure Time. they don't have a name for some reason but yeah there super annoying.

never have i seen a group so annoying and act like its a perfect show when its really unfunny and un-creative.

they just bother the hell out of me and i wish they would keep to themselves 

im thinking about how i dont know what i want. i liked the first 3 seasons of ponies but hated season 4 with a passion. now it just makes me sad but i cant just leave, ive put a lot of time into and made lots of friends. im just confused

I think discord is over rated

season 4 fianle was total garbage

everything in season 4 ((except for coco and maud)) was awful, the worst season 

i want the show to be canceled so they cant mess it up anymore

A nice little alt rock number about love and stuff, i recommend it if your looking for a good summer song. its got nice instrumentation, clever lyrics and an over summer-y feel.  

Its hard at first because of the amount of freedom you have. its hard for a week or two to learn how to handle free time, classes and studying. but after awhile you will work out a system that works for you. the hardest parts i found were knowing the limits of what you can do in a day. i started last year and found that i could procrastinate till a day before and still do well. that's not a good trait because sometimes you need more time tan just a an afternoon. learn to budget both time and money.

also try to make friends, i spent a whole year on a campus with 30 thousand people and didn't make a single friend all year. it was really hard because you get lonely. join a club or student group that interests you. its a good way to meet people. don't just hope for a good roommate... there a lot of jerks who skip there classes to sleep in and then drink when they went to all there classes in a because they needed it, yeah right i go to all my classes and don't drink. yeah just be wary of random roommates. 

i find that you have some free time but unlike high school, there's a lot of information that you will need to find on your own in order to pass. so even tho you spend less time in the class room you still need to spend time studying and reading. i find that you must always pay attention in class because of the limited time you get. its not like high school where they spend three weeks on one subject. you need to  

You don't get homework per say, you might get an assignment here or there but its most studying or reading a text book. you get big papers and tests but there planned out so far ahead you can a plan a way to handle them when they approach. its not terribly hard unless you have subjects your bad at, which are harder but not impossible. talking to the professor or TA can be very helpful and there are probably resources in the library.  

college over all isn't super hard if you know what your doing, which hopefully you will have an idea of in the first month or so. being by yourself is a big adjustment and being home sick is ok, it happens to almost everyone. it may seem like a lot at first but it really isn't. you will find what you like and what you don't and soon you will be bored of it. its a big step when you can decide what you do and when. 

but don't thrust me, i just passed my first year of college and i cant even spell university correctly without spell check. it's a miracle i got in. if me a procrastinator with ADHD, anxiety and depression can pass then most people will. it may seem scary but it really isn't. you just need remember to cheer for the right football team.    

 i guess, im not a pro at monarchy. i just dont really like her anymore 

alicorn oc's bother me a lot unless there a mutation like twilight. i guess if a Pegasus and a unicorn has a foal i could see it, but they shouldn't just be as powerful as the 3 princesses are ((also i don't consider twilight a princess, you can just give some one royal blood and she didn't marry into it)). they have to just be a normal unicorn with wings. also if there all dark and OP its no fun. you make a character for fun and if you character can do anything no problem there's never any conflict.

I think that coffee is gross

Titanfall is bad

Bioshock 2 is a great game

fallout is much better than elder scrolls

the ending to evangelion sucked

the ending to lost was great

the wire is overrated

minish cap is best LoZ game

discord is a terrible character and should be cut from the show

Gravity was an awful movie

the 1998 godzilla movie was good

Season 4 was just awful

Steak is gross 

Adventure time is terrible and tries to hard to a hipster comedy than trying being funny

I really liked Pinkie, her boots were cute and her mane was the same. also her skirt is cute too 

i like pinkie a lot cause shes what i want to be. i want to be myself without people judging me cause im different and weird. shes also super cute and has the best mane ever. she always has a smile and makes me happy when im having a bad. shes random but its ok because who wants a super predictable life. other all shes just a great character and a great role model.

Hi there! Welcome to the forums. Interesting, I thought Season 4 was better than season 3. Overall I thought the great episodes easily overshadowed the more fan-servicy ones.

Personally I think it's cleverly written. Fluttershy didn't deserve this (and to a lesser extent Twilight, but she could have done more) but the other Mane 6 should have seen the writing on the wall and seen Discord's betrayal coming. They treated him badly, with hostility and never as a friend (while that usually is so important to them) Discord mentioning he's mostly doing it for Fluttershy painfully showed the other Mane 6 had failed in their task.

 

 

As others pointed out, Discord valued Fluttershy's friendship, but because he still didn't know the full meaning he believed he could "trade" one friendship for the other. With Tirek he could have his freedom, be himself and have a friend. But seeing Twilight freeing him and still view him as a friend made him realize what a huge mistake he had made. And having a friend means that things can't always go your way.

yeah i know, i just pissed at the show. i want to like it, but i just cant. im regretting finding this site cause it lets me vent when i shouldnt... also i just dont like discord, never really liked him in the show. hes annoying, not trixie levels, but close

Not a bad idea, but this will never happen.

its easy to make a character do something when you write poorly. 

yes, all you need is poor writing and a crappy finale. its very easy

Its just a way to make characters people like show up more. its just pandering and i wish they would focus on more important things. like character development or removing wings

this is just the another step towards me not caring

they lost with with wings and pushed me away with a horrible season 4 finale

I thought it was terrible, I just can't get past all the fan service. I wish it was more like season 2. It was just bad. i won't care about the show again until they remove twilights wings. once they do that i will watch it again

I like ponies but season 4 was a disappointment. I want to find people to help me get over my wing hate. I look and all I see is fan service money bags. i just want to like the show i love again, I really want to like it again.
