  1. I'll preface this by saying that I'm new to this kind of role playing. I've been having some loose ideas of a Banjo-Kazooie/Pony crossover. Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie remain two of my top favourite video games. I always wish they could be in smash brothers, but that's besides the point. I was thinking of a story where Gruntilda decides to cast a spell to banish Banjo and Kazooie to another world. Something goes awry and she gets sucked in too. As it should happen they get sent to Equestria. I'm thinking that it was take place right before the final fight in Banjo-Kazooie(not sure when in pony-time). I would plan to write for Banjo, Kazooie, and Gruntilda. Also to take care of general story, at least mostly in the beginning to set it up, after that not as much. I would figure that Fluttershy would be a good first pony for Banjo and Kazooie to meet (talking animals, oh my god), and that Trixie should be one of the main enemies. Grunty employs her to seek out jiggies and music notes before our heroes can? Possibly another main villain to join up with Grunty? Anyway, this is all still kinda vague in my head. In a few days to a week I would be ready to flesh it out. At this stage in the game I'm just curious if there's any interest in this sort of crossover. I think writing for Gruntilda would be great because she speaks exclusively in rhyme. So give me some feedback and I'll write up a backstory/scenario and plan some of the story. If there's a lot of interest I'll make sure it's somewhat detailed and as close to sort of awesome as I can get. Well I guess I was dating myself, now I feel old. Kind of assumed most people were familiar with and fans of the games. Instead of a roleplay I suppose I'll just do a fan-fic with my ideas. If I do, I'll link to it in the forums somewhere.
  2. Paleontology, almost anything in the natural sciences. Working in a museum was definitely a dream. Then I hit high school and found the humanities, social sciences and theater. Then it was maybe linguistics, which led to anthropology, having a crazy awesome archaeology professor made me lean towards that. Then full-time meat cutting made me decent money (buying a house means I'm not doing too bad I guess). I would have most likely ended up not using a degree, as there isn't much money in what I like. I don't consider myself to be as much of an adult to call myself "grown up", being called "Mr" feels weird even at 31. So there's still time to decide I guess.
  3. Holy crap! Ponies and Pokemon...that's amaaaazing!!!!
  4. You might want to check out Connecticon, think they have a pony roleplaying event or two.
  5. Welcome and brohoof for loving derpy.
  6. Thanks for the hellos. Ozric Tentacles is instrumental psychedelic space rock. Kinda strange and a lot of fun to listen to.
  7. I'm very open. Pins, keychains, bracelets always on. One of my favourite tee shirts is plastered with Pinkie Pies and rather loud. Trying to resist the temptation of getting pony tattoos.
  8. Sometime late 2012 I think. My brother got a free convention bag from a tee shirt site with a pic of a steampunk Rainbow Dash. It sparked my curiosity, finally checked to show out and fell in love. Always loved things cute and silly, it was a perfect fit.
  9. I'm a Brony in Southern CT who just joined the forums. Looking to network with local/semi-local pony fans(single and female all the better). Some of my non-pony interests include music: progressive, stoner/doom metal, psychedelic, sludge/post-metal, OK, I'm a dork about my music, bonus points if you're familiar with Ozric Tentacles (one of my top favs), playing said music on bass and guitar, some anime, video games, philosophy/social sciences, silly, cute, and/or ridiculous things. So yeah, I don't know many people that are into my little pony. I'm looking to fix that. Greetings to pony fans near and far.
