Brohooves Received

  1. Well, that fixed it. Heh, guess I don't know my phone very well. Also, my hearts/chests glitch was fixed...at a very heavy price. I guess, in order to fix the problem, gameloft had to reset my game back a few days. I lost over 60 gems, three ponies, and am inundated with pests. Well, at least all these pests will help me recover some of the gems. Le sigh.
  2. No, I'm connected to both the internet and gameloft, and even had a friend send a chest and heart to me. Never received either one even after...about 17 hours now. I'm still able to send hearts and chests, too. I am just not receiving any. It's a known glitch that they are working on...supposedly. The sound problem isn't a factor of the phone or game settings, either. I've toyed with both the phone's set volume and the game's volume controls. No matter what, it never makes any sound through the phone's speakers, but with earbuds it works exactly as intended. As far as I can tell, the glitch is that the game always "thinks" that earbuds are attached and sends the signals for sounds there, even when the headphone jack is empty. Also, those numbers were the total gains from 34 games of balloon pop (hearts version), not my current holdings. Take any of those numbers and divide by 34 to get the odds of receiving one during any game of balloon pop (hearts version). Granted, that gives you a statistical model, not actual predictability. Still useful, though. Especially for gems. I was surprised myself that one heart turns about to be, statistically, 0.0098 gems. Essentially 1/100th of a gem. P.S. You should consider donating several hundred of those shards to their respective statues. Every time you donate 100 shards to its respective statue, you get a chance to receive a gem. Any shards gained after 999 are simply lost, and you are sitting on, potentially, a dozen gems or more!
  3. So, I was hoping to save up 3000 hearts to measure how the rewards of the social balloon pop measured up, but I got struck by the glitch where you stop receiving hearts/chests! While I wait for gameloft to fix my glitch, I decided to go ahead and do measurements with my 1020 hearts, or 34 balloon pop games (thanks to all who gave me hearts/chests! I really appreciate it!). So, after 34 games, here are the results: Gems: 10 Bits: 1628 XP: 602 Decorations: 18 Laughter Shards: 11 Honesty Shards: 18 Generosity Shards: 23 Kindness Shards: 16 Loyalty Shards: 19 Magic Shards: 12 So, the odds of getting a gem in the balloon pop minigame (for hearts) is just under 30%. Or, each heart is roughly 1/100th of a gem. The data would have been more accurate had I been able to save up more hearts, but there's no telling how long I'll be glitched. I'll still send you hearts, even if I'm currently not able to receive them. My gameloft ID is: Z0001332536873 In addition to the hearts/chests glitch, I've got an odd sound glitch as well. Sound won't play at all, unless I have headphones plugged in. Does anyone else have this glitch?
  4. A lot of people here are complaining of loyalty-eating parasprites/changelings/bats. I have to agree. Here's my thoughts and observations. I believe that, to assuage complaints about magic shards, the most recent update both made magic shards easier to get and reduced the number of magic shard foes. The problem seems to be that the magic shards are taking up what used to be loyalty shards and what were once magic pests are now typically loyalty pests. Prior to the update I had roughly 910 loyalty shards and was making steady gains. Now I'm down to almost 800. I've bled over one-hundred shards in a week, and I have just about every available shop (missing two from SAA and one from Ponyville) and a menagerie of ponies to occupy them. Not to mention I'm good enough at the mine cart minigame to harvest a good 20+ loyalty a day. More when the daily quests send me to the mines. And I'm still hemorrhaging loyalty shards! Bottom line: they need to readjust the rates for loyalty shards drops and the pest spawns. Also, to address those who have a quest with an absurd number--I know I have a "Play the Ball Bounce Game 60,000" quest due in about a day. The error here, methinks, is not an absurdly high number, but rather a bug that made the event solo. I think what gameloft was shooting for was to open up community events, where everypony's efforts would be collectively logged, but somehow it ended up being another solo event. Hence how very impossible it is. It's definitely a glitch, though I am looking forward to them fixing it.
  5. Actually, you can get more than one gem, though I have only ever seen it once (I once got 2 gems at once at the Generosity stone). It is my understanding that the loyalty and magic stones may give multiple gems on the 100th donation very often. I just haven't tested them yet.
  6. Okay, I was waiting for my data for Loyalty shards to share this information, but I can just go back and add it later. In any case, I may know what your problem is. Read on! This is a collection of my insights into the harmony stones: After activating the stones, you can donate your excess shards to them for bits and gems. It is very important to note that, to get gems, you must donate 100 shards to an indivudual stone. Each stone has a hidden counter, and the chance to get a gem only occurs every 100th donation. So always, always, ALWAYS wait until you have at least 100 shards to donate so you don't miss your chance! The stones' counters reset with the game, so you will never see a gem if you donate a few at a time since, as soon as the app restarts, the stones go back to a count of zero. EDIT: just to be clear, you must donate 100 of the same element at a time. Donating 50 Laughter and 50 Honesty will NOT generate a chance to recieve a gem. That being said, I have gathered up 999 of each stone (barring loyalty and magic--loyalty to come soon!) and donated the whole set at once and measured the increase in gems and bits. Note that all values are rounded DOWN to the nearest whole number and that these are my results, the actual values may differ slightly. 1 Laughter = 10 bits -- every 100 shards donated yields a ~10% chance to recieve a gem 1 Honesty = 20 bits -- every 100 shards donated yields a ~20% chance to recieve a gem 1 Generosity = 27 bits -- every 100 shards donated yields a ~25% chance to recieve a gem 1 Kindness = 40 bits -- every 100 shards donated yields a ~50% chance to recieve a gem Loyalty and Magic results pending. Hope this data helps somepony out there! Feel free to add me, gameloft ID: Z0001332536873
  7. Hi everypony! I heartily welcome any friend requests; my game loft ID is: Z0001332536873 I've been playing a while now, and thought I might share some of my insights. I'll start with the mine cart game, since it is my favorite and all. An unanswered (as far as I can tell) question is "where do you start seeing gems?" The answer varies. For the mine cart game, there are two things to consider, your current points, and how far you've travelled. Which shards you find are based on your points—the higher your score, the more often you see rarer shards. Gems don't care what your score is. They show up at a certain depth and are independent of your score. Here is where gems start to show up: For playing with 100 bits (1x): ~4000 points For playing with 1000 bits (2x): ~8000 points For playing with 2 gems (4x): ~16000 points Notice the trend? Gems show up based on how far you've gotten, independent of your score multiplier. The most hated foe in the mines is that jumpy Shadowbolt. One technique to try to thwart them is to ignore which foe (Shadowbolt or Diamond Dog) and instead focus on the timing. If you jump at the last moment, you will avoid either one. You'll be low enough to still duck under a Shadowbolt, but high enough to clear a Diamond Dog. Try it! If nothing else, practice makes perfect. Mine cart wheels are easy enough to obtain that you can virtually play the mini game nonstop. I don't think anypony has mentioned it, but you can get mine cart wheels by tapping on your decorations. Usually, a few taps on a decoration will give a single bit, but rarely it will yield a cart wheel. It is entirely possible to replenish all 5 in a few minutes! I hope this has been helpful to at least somepony. Again, feel free to add me: Z0001332536873
