  1. My personal theory is that whatever government exists there is aware of what's happening at CHS and is secretly studying it from afar in order to figure out how to harness Equestrian magic for commercial or military purposes.

This also includes Sci-Twi secretly being a government scientist whose primary assignment was to figure out how to build devices capable of using magic. She went rogue after the Friendship Games.

  2. Ohhhhh where do I even begin?

    • Lack of job opportunities.
      • I live in a rural area with virtually no job opportunities. Those lucky few with cars are able to commute elsewhere for work, meanwhile everyone else is either doing gig work or receiving government assistance to scrape by.
    • No public transportation.
      • If you don't have access to a car, you're stuck. We have no busses, no trains, nothing except for an expensive taxi company. Uber and Lyft don't even exist here.
    • Terrible Internet and Cell Service.
      • The Internet situation is going to improve thanks to fiber being rolled out, but cell service still remains a major issue here.
      • Lots of dead zones for all major carriers.
    • No entertainment.
      • There's nothing to do except walk around, maybe go for a swim or do some fishing, but that's pretty much it.
    • Giant mansions.
      • I'd be perfectly content with just a regular three- or four-bedroom house.
      • The fanciest I'd probably go is a penthouse atop a skyscraper in a major city somewhere.
    • Luxury cars.
      • I can't drive, so they'd sit and rot unless I hired a driver.
    • Vacation homes.
      • I don't mind the harsh New England winters.
    • Toys (ATVs, snowmobiles, jet-skis, etc).
      • All unnecessary fluff.
    • Expensive international vacations.
      • I don't even like to leave my own house most of the time, let alone leave the country.
    • Designer clothes.
      • Why? I'm fine ordering regular clothes from Amazon or buying them at Walmart. I don't need that $10,000 69-piece tuxedo.
    • "Dying because of old age" is impossible. People die due to health issues brought on by old age.
    • Dolphins are extremely intelligent and speak their own language, which we are trying to decipher.
    • Cats meowing exclusively for humans is an urban legend. Cats meow and make various other sounds all the time.
    • Microsoft's official reason for skipping Windows 9 was because "Seven Eight Nine".
      • In reality, it's because they feared that shipping a version of Windows with the number nine could cause compatibility problems with older programs.
    • Queen Elizabeth II was the longest reigning monarch in British history. By extension, King Charles III was the longest heir-apparent in British history.
    • Back during the Cold War, the U.S. government tried creating spy cats with hidden microphones embedded in their skulls.

  3. My memory is kinda hazy, but I remember an old Motorola flip phone being my first ever cell phone. Here's an image of what I think it looked like.

A few years after that, we switched to Verizon Wireless, and I got this LG flip phone. This was back around 2009-2011.

Later on, during high school, we switched to prepaid phones through Straight Talk, and I got this phone from Samsung with a keyboard.

I got my first true smart phone during my sophomore year of high school. It was a Samsung Galaxy Proclaim powered by Straight Talk. I had that phone up until my junior year when it broke, then I got a slightly better version of the Proclaim, the Centura. It saw me through college.

After that died, my mom gave me her old Moto g and I used that for a bit. Now I have an unlocked Moto E (2020 model) running off TracFone. It's a great phone that I really do recommend.

    • Pretty much every type of computer component due to COVID, supply chain issues, cryptominers, and scalpers using bots to wipe out inventory the moment it becomes available.
    • Housing (including rental).
    • Internet access in my rural area. ($100/month for 7 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload. What is this, 2003? ).
  4. I used to be extremely afraid of needles up until a few years ago.

Growing up, my experiences with needles were always painful. But then when I needed to get some extra shots before starting college, they just went in and I didn't feel a thing. Now I'm able to take needles like a champ :P
