  1. The secret for this is the following:
Do, don't think about the size of the task.

Also build systems, instead of goals.

Instead of worrying about becoming a great artist (goal) work on drawing every day and getting feedback (system).

If you can make yourself used to hard work. Your goals will be much closer to you.

  2. Either! Earlier I shared my styled Applejack Plush and a bunch of images from Derpibooru and Deviantart!

Why do these amazing things never be available to buy :(

    life_size_applejack_plush_by_doublebacks

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to buy one even if they were on sale.

    That's nice by the way.

When I'll get great with art I might post a pic or two here.

  3. I can give this a try:

    • I don't care about fanon
    • I don't care about grimdark or clop (Don't hate me too much for this.)
    • If I don't like anything, I really don't do or consume it.
    • I prefer not to be negative when ranting and finding the negative things is basically the national sport of the Internet.
    • I try to ignore fads, memes and the hypemachine
    • Bragging about your lack of self control is unfunny
    • While I prefer to keep my soul clean I don't find materialism dirty. It's a way to be happy like any others.
    • I hate protesters. They are loud and irritating. Make my town even dirtier with your stickers and I will hate your cause, even more.
    • I prefer to keep it slow. While the coke addict 80s businessman is an idol of mine I prefer to keep it slow.
No neurotic spamming of F5 here.

    That's all for now.

  4. Let's see:

    • People who can't sum up what they want to say
    • People forcing their opinion, taste or views on me
    • Inefficient things that nobody dares to fix bringing down the whole organization
    • Over complicating tasks because nobody knows how to work (Do small business owners never heard of K.I.S.S.?)
    • Badly designed UIs in general for websites and tools
    • Flash and java script keeps collapsing
    • Being forced to talk to the clients in my company.
    • Having no privacy at the workplace (Open offices are torture chambers without woman in leather and you know, actual walls for privacy)
    • Loud and chaotic people and events. (They just make me want to curl up in a ball.)
  5.

    1. The internet has become a norm. It is not an adventure that people go through(i.e. Facebook being overused and such).
    2. In a falling economy, it is hard to take "adventure," which means there isn't much going on besides SpaceX, and even then they are seen as 'crazy' by a majority of people.
    3. Though dangerous it isn't unusual.
    4. Haha.

"First of all it is good they are not forced to be in wars or to emigrate other side of the planet just to get themselves fed."

That is clearly not what I meant.

"Of course I don't forget that most of us have either a lack of money, bandwidth or time poverty so I don't blame them for anything. "

Many times in history those who were in poverty took big steps. Michael Faraday, for example.

Also, a majority of what I do does not involve expensive hardware. It involves a writing utensil and paper(that thing called mathematics).

The world is being carried by a few people.

What we usually see in History books is meritocracy.

Nowadays you need expensive stuff to do science economy or basically everything.

It's sad because it affects me for eternal mediocrity.

  6. Good greetings to you too! I am a fan of ponies too (drawing dark ponies that is) and I am acsolutely certain that you will get to meet new friends there as well! P.S. Hope you don't mind psychedelic Fluttershy welcoming you with her arms wide open.

    Hello there,

Drawing is a fun thing to do.

    I am doing it myself.

Of course I prefer it warm, bright and groovy.

The jacket is ripped, she could be a bit punk too.

    :P

  7. First of all we will need to define adventure.

    *ad·ven·ture  [ad-ven-cher]  Show IPA
    noun
    1.
an exciting or very unusual experience.
    2.
participation in exciting undertakings or enterprises: the spirit of adventure.
    3.
a bold, usually risky undertaking; hazardous action of uncertain outcome.
    4.
a commercial or financial speculation of any kind; venture.

    1. we have the internet, theme parks etc.

    2. business people and politicians do that all the time

    3. firefighters, medical people, police officers and soldiers in general do this

    4. you do this every time you get a loan

So by the dictionary definition we have plenty of adventure!

If we mean the entertainment industry kind of adventure.
Those never really existed beside a few expeditions but even there the cold calculating type overcame the romantic heart**.

The ordinary people never had and might never have any chance to go on big journeys.

Yes. I have to agree with the fact that most people won't even take the dictionary kind of adventure(s) either.
First of all it is good they are not forced to be in wars or to emigrate other side of the planet just to get themselves fed.

On the other hand the lack of entrepreneur spirit is sad for me because I usually find myself surrounded by people who think I'm a bit crazy.

Of course I don't forget that most of us have either a lack of money, bandwidth or time poverty so I don't blame them for anything.

  8. Hey and welcome, IronDawn, to the forums. Its great to have you here and hope you enjoy your stay.

    Thank you very much.

It is likely that I will!

    Oh, I found it C:

    Welcome Iron!

I like your avatar! If you want to find more Applejack fans here is the Applejack Fan Club!

    Hope you enjoy your stay!

    Hello,

    Thank you!

I have looked into it and it looks nice.

  9. Greetings future friend,

I like ponies, that is why I am here.

I like being around people so combining the two seems like a logical extension.

I can't write anything meaningful here but it looks like it is a formal procedure here.

Speaking of formalities the "terms of use" had something referred as "post-whoring".

That doesn't really put a nice taste in one's mouth...

Beside that it seems like there is a really nice infrastructure built up. (Poniverse)

While It is most likely I'll only use the forums I can't forget to say "nice job" when I see one.

If you have any question, just ask me.

I hope you guys won't mind if I just "brohoof" the simple greetings to avoid unnecessary posting.

    Nice to meet you!

    - Iron
