You just seemed very kind and particularly unlikely to insult or attack me in some way if I made a mistake. I followed the guidelines anyway so it all seemed to go well."

@The Ponyville Critic, @FortyTwo42, Drawn nods in agreement with Aero's words. "I honestly didn't plan to come. I more, well, found myself nearby and remembered the invitation. It seems like there are many others arriving as well but, I am not terribly confident of the application of my social skills to a larger gathering of strange ponies. I admit, seeing you here is comforting and Missy has proven to be quite adept at providing comfortable and steady dialogue to raise my confidence. But, your comment on cloud reactions is intriguing and we will need to discuss this more, I thought that clouds, when struck by pegasi, puffed into harmless vapor?"

So...as a side note because I'm not totally sure where anypony is starting or who is doing what but my post in char does include a stop through Ponyville if anypony wants to meet up for the trip to Canterlot. If not then I slip right through and end there anyway to either way.

The Everfree Forest. A mysterious place. A dangerous place, An interesting place. And, with the night stretching on and on, a currently unapproachable subject of fascination. Drawn Masquerade waited patiently for several days, well, nights, well, maybe one really long night he supposed. What WAS Luna up to? Or Celestia. Either seemed as though they might remedy this situation and yet, *sigh.* Drawn sighs wearily as he collects his materials and packs his saddlebags with the journals, ink, and other tools that he /should/ be recording his time in the forest at the moment. Instead he turns himself back down the road to Ponyville. It several nights walk...no...still the same night...through the smaller town and towards the capital to see what all the fuss was about.

"Writing? Oh! I am not really a writer. I take notes. A researcher. These are my findings and other things that I don't want to forget. And tend to..." Drawn's head snaps over to the approaching Aero. "Hi! How have you been? I saw you a few moments ago but you seemed in the middle of a conversation near the tables. How have you been? What have you been up to? Are you..." A reminder surfaces in his head from his writing:"Rambling....not a good thing. Keep it Brief." Taking a quick breath, Drawn inclines a head to Missy. "Aero, have you met Missy?" Better.

@FortyTwo42 Squee! D'aww! Love you too 42! I've gotta get a bit more back into our game. I keep getting super distracted by dumb stuff like tests and job interviews. I look forward to meeting up with you at the beach! Also...Adding into this forum as some of my other favs are @SugarPie91 who is my supa talking bestie (who I hope will RP with me soooooon!) and @Felix who I always get a massive kick out of creeping on his 2-4 status updates/day.

So...I looked at the one that counts REPLIES to your topic...so I replaced "posts" above with "replies." Just discovered this...

His inward thoughts nodding at the continuation of his script, Drawn replies perfunctorily, "I am a travelling researcher so I really don't have a solid home. I go where the evidence and interesting things are happening." His eyes waver for a moment, and he tentatively asks, "Do you like Ponyville? I've been through there many times. It is a very nice crossroads for travel and news. What brought you to live there?" "There!" He crows internally, "Greeting, Establishment of Self and Request for Same. Attentive Listening to Response. Answer to Expected Mirror Question and Follow Up Query on Other's Last Answer! Success! I knew my checklist was going to be important."

Drawn ambles slowly along the long wooden walkway over the upper dunes of the beach. "What am I doing here?" He wonders idly as his attention wanders to the sway of the tall, dry grasses to the buzzing of small insects to the distant horizon, wavering from the heat and rippling water. "Something important I think...Maybe? There were others I think. What kind of others?" As the walkway crests the edge of the breakwall, he peers down along the strip of sand to a small gathering of ponies beginning to drift together from both sky and land. "Hmmm. Others, the beach,...This must be why I'm here!" His movements do not increase in speed. Rather, he seems to slow even further as he, now more certain of his final destination, takes his time to stop and smell the roses. Or...crabs. They don't smell particularly good. It must be the lack of petals. As he nears the gathering though, his attention is pulled to the familiar face of Aero at the larger group forming around the tables on the sand but, just as quickly, drifts to a lone unicorn with a light-blue coat on the fringe of the gathering. Hmm...The reunion with a friend or the promise of a novel encounter. Well...decisions decisions. Recalling that introspection is often the bane of opportunity, Drawn's curiosity gets the better of him and he moves to intercept the wanderings of the new unicorn. As he nears her, he has a brief moment of uncertainty and halts. His horn glows a slight purple color as he lifts a sizable book from his saddlebag and flips it open to a marked page. Ah. Of course. Sliding it back into the bag, he finishes making his way to the new pony and, with the cadence and tone of somepony reading from a script, he addresses her, "Hello. My name is Drawn Masquerade. How are you and where are you from?" There. That seems like it went well. (OOC: I did not get a link to the OOC chat page. Is there also a link somewhere back to the pitch page (also are they one and the same?) Also, does anypony have a problem with me using first person present tense rather than the more common past tense?)

That's another point in Aero's favor 42...I think he's pulling ahead on that whole smartness issue. Maybe I should play chess against 42 instead...I might have a chance. Just kidding 42! I have another question...Have you dated anyone before? (Directed at Aero) And directed at 42...What is your favorite memory with Aero?

It was, in fact, an excellent game. My first playing in this format so it was a learning experience too. Of course I was distracted by the difference and the time lag and of course that is why I lsot this round... Drawn. Oh...erm...Aero played very well. Hmmm...I suppose I am not entirely sure if you can challenge me. It may be possible although I guess it depends on the intent of your question as a query of whether you personally have the ability to challenge me or if you are asking about a more withdrawn viewpoint regarding the efficacy or ability to to conduct such a contest. I might have to... Drawn. We talked about this. Occam's Razor and all that? That seems so limiting and narrow-minded. He might be asking something more profound than... Drawn. Figures of speech. He wants to know if you will play a game with him. Oh. Well. Yes then! I would very much enjoy a match. Do you have a particular method you would like to use or a longhand algebraic across posts? See. Was that so hard? Maybe. It just feels so unclear. Are you sure that others prefer this kind of answer more? :okiedokielokie: yes.

Well. I am finding it hard to come up with a good question to ask...I imagine Aero knows quite a bit more about the weather than you 42 but you probably know more engineering. So...I have to come up with a balanced question. One which you both might know about...hmmm... I know! Who is better at chess? It seems as though you both enjoy it based on your character pages. it seems to be the only fair field of competition! Despite your answer one way or another though, it would definitely appear that both of you are very very smart and the chess game wouldn't really decide who was the most but the question stands, who is better at chess? PS. My OC Drawn Masquerade also enjoys chess and might be interested in a game sometime with one of you. The better one of course .
