  1. My personal favorites are drums and bass guitar/double bass, but I suppose that's my player's bias. I have the most experience on bass guitar and have played primarily in jazz/blues ensembles going on 3 years now. I have a want (and need) to get better at guitar, but I consider it a bit more of a "specialist" instrument for the kind of stuff I fancy. Truthfully I only want to improve as a blues/jazz soloist on guitar a la Eric Clapton's early work or Henry Vestine/John Lee Hooker.

Well, leave it to me, if there's ever been an instrument I've wanted, I've got it! =P

My favorite instruments are of course wind instruments. My top favorites are the oboe/English horn, saxophone (alto or lower), bassoon, and bass clarinet. The trumpet/trombone/saxophone combo in pop/rock music is sublime. No matter the era, genre.

My favorite non-wind instruments are the harpsichord and hammond organ. I'll probably never play them. That's fine. Just kind of sad these instruments have been pushed aside. It'd be so much more fun to play the harpsichord than the piano.

I've only played a few gigs where we didn't have a Hammond B-3 on hand. They're fantastic little keyboards with a huge and swirling sound. Leslie speakers also make great guitar amps for semi-wah-wah type effect. Always have preferred hammonds to pianos or other electronic keyboards. They add R&B and psychedelic flavor to any arrangement and are fantastic for anything from soul to progressive rock.

  2. It's decent nowadays, if not a bit outdated. No matter, runs stuff just fine.

    AMD FX6300

    NVIDIA GTX 770

    14GB Patriot RAM

    1TB Hard Drive

    Corsair 750W Power Supply

I don't play many demanding/new games at the moment, and I spend most of my money on musical equipment anyhow.

  3. Yes, but not very much. I only drink at family gatherings, cookouts, clam-bakes, and stuff like that. I don't really like fruity drinks to much, wine's okay, but i prefer bourbon, whiskey, lager, and beer. I have a high tolerance level even though i don't drink often.

  4. I really can't stand these pointless arguments. There's always been good stuff and bad stuff (That distinction varies from person to person). In my opinion there's still plenty of worthwhile listening material out there today, you just have to go out of your way to find it. In my opinion the genres and "artists" that are "In" right now in the mainstream are....abhorrent, but there's always been garbage. If you want to find worthwhile content you have to actively search for it. Take what you see on the billboard charts and read it for what it is: the mindless tastes of the lowest common denominator.

  5. I confess... that I am jeallous of girls. There is something about their way of life that... I kinda wish I could have.

Now,I have never, ever liked being a male, it has been a burden through a big part of my life, and when I see what could have been if I was born of the opossite gender... I get bitten by the bug of jealousy, and it makes me wish that I could live like them, be like them, be one of them... I really hate being born as who I am now, to be honest.

It's a weird thing to explain, I'm aware of that, but it's something that roams my mind a lot more than it should do. Sometimes I still think about 'what if...', and I can't help but giggle a little at how different would things be, and how much happier would I possibly be if that was the case.

I couldn't agree more with this.

  6. I play upright bass in my county's local symphony orchestra and formerly played cello and upright in my high school's orchestra. I'd say that holds up for something in classical music, though admittedly i'm mostly self taught. All my knowledge of classical music and music theory comes from piano lessons i took as a kid.

  7. I pretty much gave up on this game after the MvM update and was only further driven away with the CS:GO-ish weapon skins, unusual weapons and all that shit. From what i can tell Valve is trying to copy Overwatch's formula. (Ironic considering Overwatch took so much inspiration from TF2) They realize the game is past its prime and is now on a downward spiral in popularity, i guess they're just trying to hold out for as long as they can. I uninstalled it long ago and have moved on to Overwatch.

  8. Muslims are fine.... they are just like everybody else..... just dont confuse them with Islam..... as Islam is a religion, and Muslim is a race.

"Muslim" is a term for those who practice Islam, many people associate Islam with Arabs, since they were the ethnic group from which it was founded but Islam is practiced by a plethora of ethnic groups: Arabs, Berbers, Pashtos, Persians, Turks, Uzbeks, Indonesians, etc.

Regardless i'm no stranger to Islam, i have both Sunni and Shia  family from Iraq and Kuwait and formerly lived in Michigan, which has the largest enclave of Arab Muslims in the country. That being said i have come to know, work with, and befriend quite a few Muslims meaning that my overall experience with Muslims from a few different ethnic backgrounds have been overall positive. Despite my theological and moral disagreements with the Qua'ran, the Sunnahs and the Hadiths and my belief that Islam is in need of a reformation, i put my religious differences aside. As long as they adhere to their own traditions on their own and do not infringe upon my liberties to believe and conduct myself the way i wish then i don't have an issue.
