Yes, they were scared of encountering someone new at first, but did they stay that way or did they learn from their actions? In the end, it takes true bravery to welcome someone/ something new and different. To me, the ending is what made that episode great. -
Being a (triple) minority, racism is a heavy word... and there are many people who want to discourage people of color from watching the show. To me, there is no racism, because the mane 6 are a variety of colors and I LOVE how beautiful and mysterious Zecora is portrayed. Take the show for what it is, a group of friends encountering a vast world of new and exciting creatures, all of whom may not be so easy to relate to and some who may be dangerous, and learning that ...well...friendship is magic!

I love that the ponies can all be different and still all be of value. if we relate it to the real world, its like there's only a few Bill Gates/ Richard Bransons/ Oprah's etc, but in Ponyville everyone they interact with is of equal value to the world and therefore has a right to be happy and have their needs met. In that end, I don't think classism exists in MLP, but that the show makes a powerful statement of how having different innate skills can be a good thing as there are somethings that you are naturally better at contributing to society.

My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Pinkie Pie How did you find MLP Forums?: poniverse How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: My kids and my fiance love it I have also been comparing the older versions I grew up on to Friendship is magic and I am so impressed with it. This is like a kid who played mlp all her life grew up with a desire to make this world a better place one brony at a time. It is awesome! I'm an adult female in education and one of the things I love most about this show is its ability to teach positive values to young men and women. I am very interested in learning about the projects that reach out to disadvantaged, at risk young people and teach ethics through this show
