Since you like and want to crate video games, you could try out fps creator, that's where I made my first game (The new version is not released but you can get the beta). Hahaha yeah you're right but it's still easy to get hired as a programmer. I started out learning Visual Basic then went on to c# and I created a service online after I graduated from university and it's really easy to find a job with the technology constantly growing. Heh yeah, unity really IS hard, took me a month to learn the basics. Basically I make programs for companies (e.g databases)
