Discord, Anthropology, Love Me Cheerilee and Sinking Ships are classics. I've rediscovered a few more obscure songs recently that I liked back in the day and they just hit different.
dang why are all of these sad -
Dang this is an old thread. I'm here I guess because of nostalgia since I haven't used the forums in like 3 years, and the pleasant atmosphere the community/show has!

Spoiler since my list contains the early released episodes. They're just episode titles, but to be safe..
SpoilerParental Glideance
Celestial Advice
Forever Filly
Rock Solid Friendship
All Bottled Up
Fluttershy Leans In
A Flurry of Emotions
I like all of them though, just some more than others.

I feel the same way. I was originally not going to watch the early releases, but I know they exist and I can't help myself. Just wish they'd stop airing these early episodes in Canada and just go back to normal. I hate how everything is divided like this.

Humor + Parents + Realistic conflict + Scootaloo focus + Rainbow Dash development = Fucking great episode
23 minutes ago, Whompy Whomperson said:UPDATE: To say the new writer has a good track record is an understatement
Really hope he writes more episodes this season.

I am one of those people who believes Starlight's development has been a bit rushed so far (seriously, how the hell is she already graduating), but there was something so refreshing about Celestial Advice to me.
I wasn't expecting it to be this great to be honest. I was expecting just another underwhelming premiere like last season's, kind of lackluster and not as interesting or entertaining. This really exceeded my expectations. I like the idea of it being only a one parter, especially since it was just a slice of life episode. At the same time, I feel like this episode was really needed. There was little to no attention for Twilight's perspective on mentoring Starlight in season 6 which disappointed me, since it has so much potential for developing Twilight. Seeing an entire episode dedicated to it is so great. It had some nice lighthearted humor, sympathetic characters (aside from Discord..), and some much needed backstory/serious moments. Basically everything that I love from the show. So yeah, I'm personally really excited to see where Starlight goes next with her friendship studies and overall I'm just hyped up for what this season has to offer.
And uh.. the second episode was fun. 🤷🤷 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
TL;DR - Celestial Advice is gooooooood

>when your post gets in the video
I actually jumped when I saw my post. Wasn't expecting that.
That aside, I have to agree with a lot of people here about the comment situation. You made it out as if people were really attacking the OP, but they were just respectfully disagreeing with the Junior Brony thing. The whole situation was kind of misrepresented, which is something you should be careful of when talking about something like this to your audience. But that's just what I think. Otherwise, I think you made some great points here that I never really thought about myself and I can agree 100%.

Scootaloo: "I know what it's like to want something that's out of reach, and just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it can't. Maybe trying for the impossible isn't so bad."
And that's when I instantly loved the episode.
Jokes aside, I loved this. All 3 of the CMCs were fantastic, and they weren't bland or dumbed down versions of themselves for once. So yeah, their characterization was on point. Gabby is a great new character and an interesting addition to the CMC. I'm so glad this episode didn't have a predictable resolution by making Gabby get her cutie mark somehow. The resolution was a lot more realistic and meaningful, and that just makes me so happy. Also, Scootaloo was excellent here and seeing her have some time to shine was fitting and perfect and she definitely deserved it. The continuity in this episode was very impressive, those brief Twilight scenes were great, and the song was pretty enjoyable. Overall, awesome episode.

Silver Spoon's double ear in Flight to the Finish is so distracting. How did nobody on the production team catch that?

A gas mask.. with a hood.

Pinkie is very carefree, some of the things she does could come off as "tomboyish" and some don't. I doubt she really thinks about shit like this too much.

In this case, not really. With comedy videos, it's best to keep them short and sweet. Those tend to get the most attention and nobody really wants to watch a 22 minute long video. That's just from what I've seen at least.Longer videos usually attract more viewers, it's just youtube logic.

Cool idea, but why do the entire episode? It's a lot funnier if you just did them in snippets, like the original Censorship is Magic. But that's just what I think.

Turning Rarity's sewing machine into cake was so funny and clever. If I was Rarity, I'd find it very funny.
I thought the whopee cushion one was hilarious too, since fart jokes have never been a thing in MLP. Ever. It was more of an anti-joke (I think?) and we weren't supposed to laugh at it, which is why I found it so funny.

She really should've, but it's not a big deal. I mean, RD pranked pretty much all of the townsponies.. why was Starlight not included? She's technically part of the main cast now, so it's distracting how she's forgotten in this episode. It's a nitpick, but my point still stands.

I know this has been said before, but Rainbow Dash is a character we see a lot more weaknesses than strengths be addressed in her episodes. Her confidence, strive, loyalty, and determination should be praised more in episodes. Instead, she comes off as arrogant, oblivious, or selfish at times. We've seen the other Mane 6's strengths being used to their advantage a lot, but I feel that Rainbow gets forgotten when it comes to this. Episodes like Rainbow Falls, 28 Pranks Later, and MMDW show off more of her negative traits than positive traits and it can get pretty annoying.
Also, Starlight. We've seen more of her weaknesses than strengths in the episodes she has appeared in, so it would be nice to see some of her strengths as well even though she's still a fairly new character.

Yes, and thankfully I don't need to get them again. My bottom teeth have always been fine, but my top teeth were the problem. They're really improving. Seeing how braces significantly change your teeth is pretty cool.

I'm into sneakers, so that's where the "Laces" part comes from. And "Pony" because, you know, ponies.
Also, thanks for bumping the thread! Hopefully I get some more questions.
Has a song from MLP:FiM or MLP: EG made you cry or feel emotional?
in Sugarcube Corner
Hands down "I Am Just A Pony" from the Mane Attraction. Literally such an amazing and emotional song both in context of the episode but also on its own.
