    The reason I was absent

    Ok, as you may have noticed, in the past 12 days I haven't been active on the Forums at all.
    The reason for this was that some real life things came up and I had to deal with them, there and then.
    It wasn't anything bad or negative in my life but if I hadn't solve them now it would've caused some problems for me in the future.
    Also, a new member of the family has entered into my life as my first niece I just had to make some time for her, she is too adorable
    My goal was to return to this awesome community before Christmas -which I did, and I'm very glad I managed to sort out everything on time.
    I'm looking forward to see and talk to you guys more often, oh and Merry Christmas Everyone! :twilight:
     
    * I know its a bit slim blog-entry and explanation but I already had like 3 beers and a few shots celebrating(a bit early) my name-day.

    So the Newbie Artist Training Grounds IV began yesterday, and I was a little too busy to notice that on EQD.
    A friend of mine brought to my attention that the N.A.T.G. has started and I only had about an hour or so until the first day's deadline to submit something pony related.
    As I wanted to participate in last year's training grounds - but for some reasons I couldn't - I quickly got my paper, pencil and a pint of beer to get started on the drawing.
    As simple as the first days of the training grounds I didn't even checked what the prompt was and started to draw up a pony standing. Since I haven't had much time to think I rushed some parts of it but as a beginner artist, I tried my best to get the proportions more-or-less accurate.
    The pony I drew is just a random pony, she doesn't even have a cutie mark, though if I can work on her a little bit more in the future I just might make a good OC out of her

    Hi Everyone!
    Nothing too exciting has happened today. Unfortunately I didn't get to read the 2 FanFics that I've planned for today because I had been called to help out Modding an a Twitch Streamers channel. It was a lot of fun but took out almost 8 hours of my day so I had very little time for anything else.
    The streamer who I'm talking about is DocGotGame, if you are into MMOs, and heavy PVP action, you should go check him out, he usually streams between 12 noon to 8pm EST, every day.
     
    Other than that I jumped into some Guild Wars 2 and mainly just did some cleaning in my Anime collection.
    - too many series' to watch atm -
    I know its a little bit short tonight, but I plan some stuff for tomorrow on which I could write a little bit more in detail.

    Day 1 - The Return

    Hi Guys and Girls!
    Hope everyone feels Awesome on this fine day/night. Some of you may know about me and what I've done in the Forums so far(not much, really) and most of you haven't even heard about me. Yes, I have been absent from the Forums for almost 2 month; and this Blog Post marks the date of my return and the date when I decided that I want to start over in this community and really get into it and start making friends.
    My main goal isn't gaining fame or anything of that sort here on the Forums, I only want to make some good and close friends and just share a little piece of my life with you all.
    Besides this Blog, I'll try to keep in touch with those who will read it via Status Updates, so if you haven't already, feel free to add me as a friend .
     
     
     
     
    For this first post, I'm going to lay out what I've planned for the forseable future:
    - First off, I try to make this Blogging a daily routine. I can't promise that I post every day as anything could come up in my life but I'll try my best.
    - since I now have more free time which I can spend on the fandom and overall on MLP, I'll tell you what can you expect in this blog, content-wise:
    - I haven't really gotten into any kind of Fan-Fiction, so I have a few lined up and whenever I finish a story I'll write about it, give my personal opinion
    - I've been seeing more and more pony related games popping up recently so whenever I try out a game, I'll share my experience
    - I'll also share my thoughts on future MLP episodes as they start to air
    - more content is planned but for now, these will be the main points I'm going to focus on.
     
    That would be it for my first entry .
    Please guys and girls let me know if you like my idea of this kind of blogging, and just by replying, you would help me a LOT, any kind of feedback is greatly appreciated. I also accepting suggestions and advice from more experienced bloggers too .

    Today was a good day, but somehow I managed to be "late" again...(Thank God, there is some additional time for submitting late entries )
    Overall, I'm satisfied with my drawing, actually it came out better than I expected
    I'm still experimenting with shading and shadow, but I think I got most of it right, at least it doesn't look too off for me Though I still have to work on proportioning the body properly as I keep making the same mistakes every day(maybe if I could squeeze out 1-2 more practice hours for drawing that would solve it)
    Also, I have to start drawing backgrounds and objects too, that mug just looks awful
     
    So, here is Rissy just relaxing and enjoying some mulled wine:

    I'm kinda upset today. :okiedokielokie: I overslept, skipped a lot of things from my to-do list for today, and overall nothing went like I planned this day
    Unfortunately this affected today's drawing too, as I had a really cool idea in my head but the fact that I could only start to draw it was about an hour before the closing time made that idea unrealizable.
    On the technical note, I keep practicing shading and trying to put more detail in the hair and eyes.
    I'm somewhat satisfied of what I drew so far and though I'm not very good at drawing I'm getting better by the day.
    So here is Rissy staring at the Mare in the Moon:

    Day 5, Day 5... I promised myself that I'd start today's prompt earlier and I kinda stuck with it, but still, I spent more time drawing it than I expected. :okiedokielokie:
    I more or less had this image in my mind as I read the prompt, and I'm pleased with the outcome Of course I still screwed up some body proportions, but I'm getting better by the day
    Today - with a little bit more time - I experimented with shading and I tried to put more details in the hair, also I threw together a minimal background too.
    Still haven't tried coloring, but maybe in the next couple of days
     
    *On the side note, I finally came up with a name for my OC I draw for the N.A.T.G.; her name is Rissy. I still haven't figured out a cuite mark and a background story for her, maybe tomorrow
    (Again, sorry if the image is a bit too big, I always forget to resize it )

    Day 4 went by faster than I hoped and I ended up rushing my drawing, again. I know I have made a ton of mistakes with this entry, just to name a few, the stairs angle, the front hooves and the overall body proportion is absolutely off. But thats what the Training Grounds are there for, to get better with every drawing, I'm sure I'll do better tomorrow, and if everything goes as planned for the weekend, I'll probably going to practice drawing for 2 full days
     
    *As you can see I used my nameless OC again, and with a little bit of luck and time I'll be able to give here a proper name, cutie mark and background story in the weeked

    So Day 3 has come, and I almost didn't had the time(and motivation) to draw something for todays prompt. But I prevailed and managed to pull off a quick draw of our usual nameless(not for long) OC.
    I had like 35-40 minutes to draw todays entry and I spent most of that time just listening to Fall Out Boy
    So with only a few extremely quick stroke of the pencil I managed to create what you can see below, and to be honest, I think it turned out better than I expected.
    I tried to experiment a little bit with shading, and contrasting, but hopefully today -with the next prompt- I'll be able to draw a bit more detailed. :comeatus:
    I really want to improve my drawing skills and hopefully -if everything goes well today- I might have a little surprise for you guys(regarding my drawing of course ).

    Its day 2 of the Newbie Artist Training Grounds, and below you can check out my entry for todays prompt, "Draw a pony movin'/Draw a pony groovin'".
    I choose the same pony I drew yesterday. I kinda like how she turned out so I might come up with a proper name and a cutie mark for her in the near future
    * I want to point out that I had to use a reference for her legs as I found that drawing them was a little bit difficult. The reference I used was one of JunaECBS's drawings.
     
    Any and all notices, comments and criticism are welcomed, as I want to know how and in what way should I improve my drawing skills.
