    Lol, it took me a while to understand the question; I had forgotten about that character. I think it could go either way: "Daring Do" could chronicle the adventures of old time adventurer or she could still be young very much alive or she could simply be fictional. Thing is with MLP being such an open ended serial there are a number of things that could be done with that. It all depends on what the writers decide.

    Interesting concept. While this is a possibility I think it might be a bit early for that. If the creators were planning to age the ponies to jump more than a year at this point could mean for a shorter running serial. Since this show is geared toward young girls I doubt they could be allowed to get too much older because the older the get the harder it may become for the target audience to relate to the characters.

    I like Roid Rage. It seems that steroids can shrink ones wings as well.

    I just figure it is because they are demi-gods. I may be over speculating but I think that the alicorns are similar to the Greek/Roman gods. They can reproduce and grow just as normal mortals they could never die of old age, although their immortal status may have a few exceptions (i.e. being killed by other gods or by injury).

    I agree completely. I would love to see where Luna's domain, assuming she doesn't live at the Canterlot Castle

    Oh, I see, that makes sense. I wondered why Rarity was the only pony living with her parents.

    Actually later in the first season it is revealed that Rarity sill lives with her parents. It was in the episode where Rarity is left to take care of her sister while her parents away for a while. Perhaps they are still in their mid to late teens. From what I've seen so far higher education seems to be optional-like college. Because there are only a few ponies who seem to have actually attended higher schools (I.e. Twighlight and the magic academy or Fluttershy and Rainbow and the Cloudsdale academy).

    Interesting theory although I don't fully agree. In this aspect Chrysalis' mentallity is similar to that of a cannibalistic serial killer's. I think she may be jaded to a point where she is literally incapable of natural love. Like the cannibal, her hunger for love and effection may have become a literal hunger and since she is incapable of natural love this primitive form of obtaining it serves as a substitute. I think if she were shown love it would be a cast of pearls before swine. She would only be able to receive it the one way she knows how.

    She's definetaly the most powerful unicorn pony in the show although I don't think she is more powerful than Celestia or Luna by herself. Remember in the episode "lesson zero." Celestia cancelled out Twilight's massive love spell in one fell swoop and plus Celestia and Luna have the power to move the sun and the moon-not exactly an easy feat. I don't know where she stands against stallions (particularly her brother) her power may be equal to his or even surpass it. One thing's for sure though, she stands above all other female unicorns. Now if she continues to study and hone her skills she may grow to rival the alicorn sisters; shouldn't be problem so long as it doesn't go to her head.

    I could see mermaids in this, maybe if they made it so that the upper bodies looked less human. Or maybe some kelpies and fire salamanders. I could also see goblins in this.

    Funny, I JUST came back from watching that episode. I didn't like it that much either. I thought it went by a little fast; I felt that the revelation of Chrysalis' identity came too easily, I think the conflict could have been longer (maybe 44 minutes wasn't enough). And plus I feel Chrysalis just kind of comes out of nowhere, she didn't really have much of an introduction. Luna didn't have much of a role, I really didn't like that, I would've loved to see more of her. The battle between Celestia and Chrysalis definitely could've been longer, it didn't make much sense to me that the Goddess of Equestria could've been defeated so easily. And I did not like the cliche "love conquers all" theme at the end. I'm not gonna lie: I actually gagged a little. I thought for sure the writers could have come up with a more original ending. I think the problem was that the writers just didn't have enough room to work with; everything had to be done in 44 minutes. I wonder how they would've done with 88 minutes or even 120.

    The only other forum I have been on is Yahoo! Answers and the moderators there are just...well words can't describe *rolls eyes*. But I like the Mlp moderators. The ones here much nicer and they do thier jobs well; I don't feel like I have to tread so lightly around them.

    Wasn't sure where else to post this. So right now the site has me in the group "muffins" and I was wondering: is that something I change or is it like a rank that change as make more posts? If it can be changed manually, how can I do it? And what exactly are these groups?

    I think the writers have already come as close as they safely could to addressing war in the "play" episode. When the mane six were reinacting the conflict among the unicorns, the pegusi, and the earth ponies before equestria came to be. They were feuding over trivial matters and refused to set thier differences aside and compromise. They were so blinded by thier animosity that they failed to see that they were destroying thier own land. I think in this sense war has been addressed. As for substance abuse more than likely it would be addressed through an episod where someone is addicted to sugar and sweets. I could totally see pinky going off the deep end with a sugar addiction and completely losing it or maybe the cake babes get their first taste of something sweet and don't know how to snack in moderation. As for poverty, maybe a character's house gets destroyed and for one reason or other she has a hard time finding someone to stay with until her house is rebuilt. I could see that happening.

    Funny thing is, I doubt that Derpy was intended to be mentally retarded; I think she's just dull witted-like Ed, May Kanker, or Patrik Star. Parents are reading WAY too much into this. People just need to lighten up .

    That's a good point, although I could probably see her in a seven minut short (1/3 of a 22 minute time slot). I think that could work.

    I have heard rumors that they would be airing an episode centered around Derpy in season 3. Could there be truth to this? I personally would love to see a Derpy centered cartoon as she is one of my favorit minor characters. What do you think would happen in an episode like that? Would there be a lesson or would just be random? Would it be well received by fans?

    Fluttershy is my favorite pony although Rainbow-Dash and Derpy tie for a close second.

    Unicorn, I would enjoy the use of magic and plus I could just conjour up some temp wings for myself if I ever wanted to fly.

    I once saw an episode of dragon tales in which a pet died. It was a small creature-a caterpillar if memory serves correctly. I was young then and while it was sad I was able to handle it because the creature was small and insignificant to the serial as a whole. I don't exactly remember how it was sent but the message got across fine. Point being: I think if the writers were to introduce and kill off one of Fluttershy's bug pets (or something of the like) it'd be fine-if done right. In the end the bug wouldn't be terribly missed by the audience.

    I was thinking faeries but as pandy pointed out I don't think we will be seeing many human hybrids. Maybe we could see faeries like that of Navi from legend of Zelda. I am also thinking mermaids, if they changed the upper body to appear less...human.

    So it was the arguing that released him? I admit I didnt fully understand how discord broke free from his prison. If it is that easy to release discord then I don't doubt that we might see him again. I actually wouldn't mind having him as a recurring antagonist; I liked him as a villain.
