VII : Sturm Und Drang by Lamb Of God (2015)

What an album by those guys of Lamb Of God! To be honest this is the first Lamb Of God album I've listened to fully but for a first this is gold in overall!

    Pros:
A good thing about this album is the gold-mine of great riffs, really catchy but sometimes even technical. Chris Adler did really well at drum in this album, performing really accurately at most parts, and this, I really loved. I also love the set-ups for some songs, it went this way for the weird Overlord and for the great 5 minute closer called Torches.

    Cons:
What was definitely not my cup of tea in this album were the clean parts, mainly in Overlord despite the good set-up of this part of the song and also that part with the guest vocalist in the song Embers, but those elements despite being here did not make me despise this album at all! And that is really good!

My God-Given Right by Helloween (2015)

    My main thoughts:
So far, I've listen to the album once, and in my opinion I would say that it's pretty solid at most parts, the riffs are alrights, the melodies are catchy, the vocals are alright as usual and the drums are well harmonized with the rest.

    Pros:
There are some great highlights in the album, mainly when the riffs take the spotlights in most of the songs and so does the solos. Andi Derris proves he can still be in harmony with the melody with his vocals in this album, a great thing, IMO. Also, There are some great parts which build an atmosphere with the songs in general.

    Cons:
Some parts sounded a little too generic for me, but it's maybe just me and there also some parts who were a bit poorly executed, but it did not affect the album too much.

What Should Not Be Unearthed by Nile (2015)

    NILE IS ILLUMINATY CONFIRMED!
All jokes aside, I highly anticipated this album from this Technical/Brutal Death Metal band. The first two songs they introduced, "Call Of Destruction" and "Evil to Cast Out Evil" were really frikin' good and I could not wait for the release. And then today came, the album was out and I'm here writing this review completely wordless after the listen... OF THIS MASTERPEACE. This album is their ultimate offering, it offers the best quality Tech Death they've ever done since their beginning in the musical industry, and it feels good!

    Pros:
This album has a lat of positive points to say the least and here are all of them: First, the variety. Nile has been known to be a band with medium variety incorporation in their albums, but this one offers their best variety to date, uncluding midpaced songs to really classic fast tempos like Nile Songs, but with many musical elements, such as doomy melodic elements, like in the 6 minute song called "In the Name of Amun", that helps the immersion factor along this one. Secondly, the riffs. Man the riffs are really great and they assist in the auditive chaos in this one, in songs such as "Call To Destruction", "Liber Stellae Rubaeae", "Evil to Cast Out Evil" and "Rape of the Black Earth"
they proved all along that this one should be looked mainly for the riffs!
Also, George Kollias continues to be a beast at the drums but he seems to have gotten a little better since their last album called "At the Gate of Sethu", keep going George you're a goddamned beast and a good model from drummers!
I can tell you other reasons on how about this album's good, but you may just discover those by yourself if you're a fan of this genre of Metal, enjoy!

    Cons:
A place where this album fails a little at, is a bit in the production, because the Drums seems really quiet sometimes, maybe they could have optimized it a tad better, but it does not necessarily make this one bad, it's still a masterpiece aside this little flaw.

    Ratings:
Call To Destruction (10/10) Negating the Abominable Coils of Apep (9.5/10) Liber Stellae Rubaeae (9.5/10) In the Name of Amun (9.8/10) What Should Not Be Unearthed (9.5/10) Evil to Cast Out Evil (10/10) Age of Famine (9.5/10) Ushabti Reanimator (9/10) Rape of the Black Earth (10/10) To Walk Forth from Flames Unscathed (10/10)

    Band: Artillery
    Country: Denmark
    Genre: Thrash Metal
    Lyrical themes: Society, Death, Life
    Logo:

    History:
Artillery is a Danish Thrash Metal band formed in 1982 in Taastrup, a suburb to Copenhagen by drummer Carsten Nielsen and guitarist Jørgen Sandau while they were visiting Mercyful Fate at their rehearsal room. Later on they agreed to name the band Artillery from the track Heavy Artillery from Tank's album Filth Hounds of Hades. After trying several musicians, the line up became: guitarists Jørgen Sandau and Michael Stützer, bassist Morten Stützer, drummer Carsten Nielsen and singer Per Onink. After two demos, the band had one studio song called Hey Woman, featured in a compilation called Speed Metal Hell. Then in the same year, in 1985, the band released their first studio album called Fear And Tomorrow. Then, in 1986, the drummer of the band, Carsten Nielsen, was asked by Quorthon of Bathory to join the band, but the band refused by responding that their band would be bigger than them, so that's how they kindly refuse his offer. Then, in '87, they released their second album, Terror Squad. Then in 1989, the guitarist Jørgen Sandau Putza left the band. Bassist Morten Stützer took over his position, lending the bass to recruit Peter Thorslund. Then in 1990, the band released what would had been a masterpiece of Danish Thrash Metal music: By Inheritance, is the band most recognized album, and is considered by many thrash metal fans as a classic in the genre as well as one of the most technical thrash metal albums ever released. After such sucess, the band decided to split up in 1991, then the members went on to some of their musical projects. Then, in 1998 they reformed for a compilation and to record the album B.A.C.K., that hitted the shelves in 1999. Then in 2000, the band splited up again. To reform in 2007 for a 4-CD Boxset compilation called Through The Years. They confirmed on their website in 2007 that they were reformed, but without their great singer Flemming Rönsdorf. Until now the band have released three albums under different lineups: When Death Comes (2009), My Blood (2011) and Legions (2013)

    Recommended Material:
I have not checked up that much from this band, but, from the albums I have been checking up so far, it's the album By Inheritance that stood up the most. Solid riffs, with great intensity are what lurks in the songs in this album. Have some great tunes by them:

    Band: Black Fast
    Country: United States Of America
    Genre: Progressive Thrash Metal
Lyrical themes: Science Fiction, Death, Dystopian Worlds

    History:
Black Fast is an american Progressive Thrash Metal band formed in St. Louis, Missouri in 2010. The band's members are Aaron Akin as the lead vocalist and guitarist, Ryan Thompson as the bassist, Trevor Johanson as the band's second guitarist, and Ross Burnett on the drums. They have released one EP, Black Fast EP in 2011, and one independently released and produced album in 2013, called Starving Out The Light. They signed with eOne Music in 2014 and released their second studio album, Terms of Surrender, the following year.

    Recommended Material:
The band plays a great and unique style of Progressive Thrash Metal with hints of Black Metal and Death Metal. As you can hear in a lot of their songs, the vocalist sounds a lot like Chuck Shuldiner (Played in the band Death, R.I.P. 2001) but with less power than the legendary vocalist. They also have the same riffs and melodies from the semi-popular Prog/Thrash band Vektor and they seem to have other influences from Skeletonwitch and Revocation. You should listen to the two albums they have made, mainly their most recent one, because it is step forward from their beginning album in every way IMO.

Ah 2015, a year which a lot of metalheads awaited, mainly to hear future releases that were out in this very year and a year which was actually not bad as for those releases. Some bands released quality material as usual, while others seemed to have failed in front of their own fanbase. But today, I'm here to talk about my favorite albums of the year 2015!:

1.The Book Of Souls by Iron Maiden
While some people think that this album is still the same old boring produced same pace Maiden (Modern Iron Maiden for a more concrete definition), I for myself honestly think that it works in this release. I think it's the most old school sounding modern Maiden release! From songs like If Eternity Should Fail to songs like the 13 and 10 respective minutes epics called The Red And The Black and title-track called The Book Of Souls, I think we have all the proof to say that it aims more at their older sound than their other modern releases, even if the production is far from being their best. But I'm not done here! While sounding like that at some points, most of the songs from this one, kicks ass, I mean, it does not lack the Maiden energy, that carries to most of those songs! Also, while I think Bruce Dickinson's vocal aren't the best he did, I think they're alright! And the musical arrangement are not bad, and they manage to get really epic in the album's 18 minutes closer called Empire of the Clouds. In conclusion, I think this album is one of the better modern Iron Maiden release, and it's not a letdown.

Favorite songs: If Eternity Should Fail, The Great Unknown, The Red and the Black, When The River Runs Deep, The Book of Souls, Empire of the Clouds.

2.VII : Sturm Und Drang by Lamb Of God
I gotta say that for a first full listen of a Lamb Of God, I'd say it is not a deception of any kind. This album does not suck, it's even a good one! With it's variety of riffs and styles, it shows it's potential right away! The clean sections might not be the best thing about this album, but they do not make that one go down instantly!
For a full review check out this post in this very blog: https://mlpforums.com/blog/2455/entry-17481-lamb-of-god-vii-sturm-und-drang-2015-album-review/

Favorite songs: Still Echoes, Erase This, Footprints, Delusion Pandemic, Torches

3.What Should Not Be Unearthed by Nile
From the variety to the excelent immersion of it's songs, here next we got this great new release by Nile. I got myself listening to songs in some generous amount of times (such as Evil To Cast Out Evil and the first underestimated Liber Stellae Rubaeae). To list the positives, we got some nice drumming from George Kollias, good vocals and some of the heaviest songs the band has released yet such as Call To Destruction, Rape of The Black Earth, etc... For the negative point it is the drums production which could have been a bit better!
For a full review check out this post in this very blog: https://mlpforums.com/blog/2455/entry-17835-nile-what-should-not-be-unearthed-2015-album-review/

Favorite songs: Call To Destruction, Liber Stellae Rubeae, In The Name Of Amun, Evil to Cast Out Evil, Rape Of The Black Earth

4.Terms of Surrender by Black Fast
This really recent band from St. Louis called Black Fast released a nice piece of modern Thrash Metal music. With this album called terms Of Surrender, they were able to show what they were capable of. In this nearly 45 minutes record, the band were able to play a Thrashy, yet really progressive and interesting style of metal. The entire album is really original full of catchy songs in their own right! Those riffs that are either original or just plain creative. You just have to check out this great album for yourself as it is a really talented one!

Favorite songs: The Keep, To Propagate the Void, Tongues of Silver, The Coming Swarm, I Conspire, Vacuous Idol, Until Dust

Check out the music video of "I Conspire"!:

5.Plan of The Damned by Acid Reign (Single)
About time that this band released new shit! And it's with a "rebooted" line-up that Acid Reign released a... and yes I know it is not an album but who cares! ...single! The song begins with what seems to be a mid-paced start but soon after the 2:30 mark of the song, you know, it's dat part where it THRASH! And bam! The Thrashy parts starts just as H the lead singer says "THIS IS NOT A TEST!". Here, nice and thrashy riffs awaits you for a nice finish! I really hope that they keep heading this away for their future new release!

You can check out the song here:

    Honorable mentions:

    1.Redemption From Refaim by A.R.G.
A neat album from a band who released the last album prior to that one in 1991!
    Equilibrium:

    2.Ungod by Morgoth
A great comeback album in the vein of their first oldschool Death Metal album called Cursed (1991). It sounds oldschool and it deserves attention from the eyes of the Death Metal scene
    Snakestate:

    3.Underworld by Symphony X
An album that has it's moment while a some are kind of forgettable, but not a lot of them are actually. A pretty typical album from them. I recommend you to listen to Kiss Of Fire a thousand times, because it's one of their best songs ever, thank you!
    Kiss Of Fire:

    4.Genexus by Fear Factory
Not their best album, but a good one at least. Some good Industrial Metal there, really a lot to check there. Djent incorporation also makes this one worth it.
    The title-track, Genexus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJwSHNpWZlw

    5.Suicide Society by Annihilator
I don't get why people hate this album, all that those people seems to say is that the song My Revenge is a rip-off of Metallica's Damage Inc. just because Jeff Waters "took" a riff from that song, but why would say that a song is bad because of a freakin riff?!? Come on, metal scene I know you're a lot better than that (or is it?). You know what, screw those people, because I like this album and I recommend you that one, and you can ignore Snap, that song is not worth your time.
    Creepin' Again:

    6.My God-Given Right by Helloween
Not that bad this album is, check out my full review: https://mlpforums.com/blog/2455/entry-16772-helloween-my-god-given-right-2015-album-review/
    Battle's Won:

7.I Worship Chaos by Children Of Bodom
A good album from this popular Finnish melo-death band. I Hurt, is one of my favorite songs from the band if not my favorite, because it simply just kills! The rest of the album is alright and you should check it out for yourself!
    I Hurt:

    8.Reveries... by Supuration
This one is an album of re-recorded songs from the band's demo's and E.P.s. I got myself listening to some songs a lot of times, including the album's opener Avoid the Contamination, Suffocate Through Asphyxia and others... They even recorded a cover of Anthrax's Among The Living, check it out!
    Suffocate Through Asphyxia:

9.Dead Man's Path by Malevolent Creation
A recent release from those Death Metal veterans. They released a nice album with a couple of great sounding songs like Imperium (Kill Force Rising), Blood Of The Fallen, etc...
    Blood Of The Fallen:

    10.Emanations by Ouroboros
I just recently got into these guys, and their first album is really good but their second album evolves their Technical Thrash/Death Metal sound into a whole new level with the additions of symphonic elements, honestly, check that one out!
The album in it's entirety: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJ8aXY0Xvv8

11.Envers Et Contre Tous by Anonymus
Quebec's Anonymus released a neat new album this summer which suceeds to the also neat État Brute (2011). It gots the typical elements of their modern music: Fast, Thrashy and efficient!
    Décrisse:

    12.Repentless by Slayer
Ok, you might don't take me seriously, but I think that this album is a half-good, half-meh/bad type of album, it gots some nice songs (Repentless, Take Control, Piano Wire, Atrocity Vendor and You Against You) while the rest of the album is either full of meh or not terrible/bad songs (Vices, Cast The First Stone, When The Stilness Comes (Not bad), Chasing Death, Implode (Not The Worst), Pride In Prejudice (Worst song of the album)). I think it should have been a lot better, but either way that's their music, so yeah...
Repentless (Damn already to 6m views):

    13.Bad Magic by Motörhead
This release, is a sad one, because it's officialy their last ever due to the death of a Legend called Lemmy Kilmister, Rest In Peace! Metal music will highly miss you! Also, I feel sorry that I have not listen to much of this album mainly it's their last, because priorities man! But from what I've been hearing it seemed good, while not being the best I heared from Motörhead.
Last music video the band has ever released from a song called When The Sky Comes Looking For You:

To conclude, I think that this year was not all that bad concerning those releases, it had defenitely some good ones and some who I can revisit!
I highly anticipate 2016! With albums from Vektor, Voivod, Megadeth and other set to be released for next year, I think that this year might deliver us some surprises from the Metal scene!
    Happy new year 2016!

    Band: Blessed Death
    Country: United States Of America
    Genre: Thrash Metal
Lyrical themes: Mass Extinction, Nuclear War, Apocalypse

    History:
Blessed Death was an american Thrash Metal band formed in Old Bridge, New Jersey. During it's 8 years activity, between 1984 and 1992, the band released 3 studios albums that explored both Speed Metal and Thrash Metal, The most Speed Metal album being Kill Or be Killed (1985) and the most Thrashy ones being Destined to Extinction (1987) and Hour Of Pain (Recorded in 1991 but released in 2006).

    Recommended Material:
The only album I've listened by them is their 2nd one, Destined For Extinction, because this album does not lack any power and is filled with great thrashers with headbangable riffs especially songs like Digital War, Painkiller, 10,000 Days Of Bloodshed, Incoming Wounded, Pray For Death and Destruction's Eve it even has some soft parts, for instance the midpart of Incoming Wounded ("NOOOOO!!!") and the intro of Alien Impregnation. And man, those vocals are awesome, especially the screams, who can easily beat any song with a screaming part by Slayer lol. You can also check out their two other albums, but they don't stand out like their 2nd one!

    Destined For Extinction:

From my past that I can't seem to remember now.
Due to recent views on these dynamic formations in the void.
I surely can say that these are my last words as a normal mass.
Because I am now transmutating from a known specie to an unknown irregular shape.
But I never forget about these properties that made a little part of this countershape.
This part that made some of these agressions transformable.
They are the elements who created these dynamic shapes.
And they helped me mutating into a neverending cycle of constant movement.
But now, I got to go.
Eternity calls me for this voyage where forces will collide.
Bringing me to another state of mutation.

Before beginning this first post of the blog I would like to introduce to you all this blog.

For each day of the 100 days limit, I will introduce a Metal band that is really underrated IMO.
And all of the bands will be classed in an alphabetical order.
My goal with this blog is basically to make you discover some rare diamonds buried under the ground, forgotten by the Heavy Metal world.
So whitout further ado, let's begin this blog.
    _________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Band: A.R.G
    Country: Finland
Genre: Thrash Metal (Past) Thrash/Death Metal (Present)
    Lyrical themes: Pollution, Death, Politics
    Logo:

For my first entry, I have one of the main Thrash Metal band from Finland.
The band released two studio albums and they are going to release they're next album called Redemption from Refraim really soon after 24 years of abence, their last album being One World Without the End (1991).

    History:
The band was formed in 1987 in the town of Kuusamo in Finland by their former vocalist Aku Raaska when A.R.G. stood for Aku Raaska Group but when he left the members changed the signification of it to Ancient Rotten Graveguards. Then Tepa Karjalainen took his place and also filled the role for the bassist of the band and he's still in the band as of today. Then in 1989 and 1991 they released the two great Entrance and One World Without the End albums. After diverse lineup changes, the band decided to disband in 1994. But, in 2011 they made a comeback and now they will release their newest album called Redemption from Refraim.

    Why I like this band:
I like their unique style of playing their Thrash Metal. In their album One World Without the End, they have a great style and they proved in songs like
, and Straybullet. Even today after 24 years without producing new material, they proved that they still make decent musicTheir newest song, Equilibrium

    Cutie Mark:

    Description:
I decided to design him from what I look like for the most parts (eye color, hair style, beard and mustache type)
and his cutie mark and name represents my love for the unknown, such as a vortex for the Cutie Mark and the tail, also, Vek is based off my real name.
I did his design with Adobe Illustrator and I think I nailed it and it could have been way worser, so yeah I'm proud of my work.
I don't know if I'll use him for something, but if I start a project that requires him to make an appearance, I'll be sure to use him.

    History and Miscellaneous:
Acid Reign is a British Thrash Metal band who is considered to be a part of the British Big Four (Acid Reign, Sabbat, Onslaught and Xentrix). The band was formed in 1985 in Harrogate, England by Mark Ramsey Wharton (drums and keyboards), Ian Gangwer (bass) Originally Peter Warriner, Howard "H" Smith (vocals), and Gary "Gaz" Jennings (guitar). Second guitarist Kevin Papworth joined in 1987. Through the years, the band released Moshkinstein in 1988 as an E.P. release and one year later, in 1988, they were finally able to release their first album called The Fear in 1989. The band shoted a videoclip of one song of this album called Humanoia. The band then released Obnoxious in 1989, which today H, the only original member calls it the pink album (a reference to the Black Album by Metallica) because of the cover (Pinkie Pie surely aproves ). Then two years later after a compilation, the band decided to part ways. But this year, in 2015, H reforged the band with a rebooted lineup, because old members did not wanted to come back into the band for personal reasons. So today they are back, even writing new material as we speak.

The band is known as the most comedic band in Thrash Metal music industry. with notable exemples such as this parody song called This is Serious off the album Obnoxious and even
of the song Hanging On The Telephone by The Nerves they surely proved it.
    Recommended Material:
Their first two albums are both great and really Thrashy. They also have thoughtfull lyrics about reality and other things. Here are songs that I recommend you to listen:

Then two years later, they recorded their first album, The First Defiance (1988). After that some of the band members were fired, then they know that they had broke-up and just like that it was the end of Agony.

    Recommended material:
I would recommend their first album, The First Defiance. The full album, in it's entirety. It's a rifftastic album full of good riffs, also with a great production for it's time. The songs you should take a look more than the others are Mass Manipulation, Night Of The Emperor and Deadly Legacy.

Death, Obituary, Cancer and Disincarnate) as a special guest and in 2006 they released another album called Deathreat. In 2011, Alex announced that he was back in the band as the singer and the guitarist and he still is in the band as of today.

Anacrusis was an american Progressive/Thrash Metal band formed in St. Louis, Missouri in 1986 by vocalist/guitarist Kenn Nardi, drummer Mike Owen, bassist John Emery and guitarist Kevin Heidbreder. After two demos in '86, the band released their first album, Suffering Hour in 1988, the album was self-financed by themself with a budget of 1200$. Then two years later, in 1990, they release the album Reason which was more Progressive Metal oriented but still with the Thrashy elements in their music, then only one year later they released Manic Impressions, an album in the same vein of the last. Then, in 1993, they released what would be their last album, Screams and Whispers, the band's most appreciated album by critics. This album marked a totally changed sound, a total Progressive Metal album with the same great riffs. Then they broke up in the same year, to reform in 2009 to play reunion shows and to release compilations and videos, then Kenn Nardi decided to put an end to the band for ever, in 2013. He even stated multiple times that he would never reform the band.

    Recommended Material:
The band played some great metal music over the course of two decades (end of 80's and debut of 90's), so they have a lot of sides in their music, a more technical side (more present in their last album) and a more powerish and thrashy side (more present in their debut album), so you have a lot to check from them if you want to know what you prefer from them. Here are my favorite songs from them:

So as we head into the much anticipated 2015 year, this has been a great year for Metal in general with great releases from great bands. So here are my favorite Metal albums, in no particular order, for the year of 2014.
(Note that there are others but in those I haven't really listen to all of the songs in them
Blood In Blood Out by Exodus

This album was a bit attacked by the fans, mainly because of the vocals of Steve Souza, I think that he has done an excellent job at the vocals and with the great riffs of Gary Holt, this was an excellent combo that made this a must buy for thrash fans from all around the world.

Favorite tracks: Black 13, Blood In Blood Out, Salt The Wound, Honor Killings and Food For The Worms
    Rating: 92%

    Black 13:

    Esoteric Warfare by Mayhem

This album was a pure audio massacre from the start until the end. Attila's vocals were fitting with most of the songs in the album, the blast beats were perfectly done, in harmony with the devastating melody played by the rest of the band. Even if some parts were a bit too experimental, Mayhem did put a great display of what today's Black Metal music is all about. I also love the lyrical themes in the songs, the theme that is mostly use here are psychological warfares, a strange concept yet interesting.

Favorite Tracks: Watchers, Trinity and Throne Of Time

    Earthborn Evolution by Beyond Creation

Those guys from Montreal in the province of Quebec (Pure laine tabarnak (get it? lol)) knows how to play tech. death metal and they proved it once again in this new release. My favorite thing from this album is the bass player (BTW called Dominic "Forest" Lapointe), because of the way he plays the instrument, it adds a charm to the melody already played by the rest of the band. This album is way more experimental than it's predecessor (The Aura) and it lacks a little bit of the brutality that The Aura had but it is still solid Death Metal from beginning to end.

Favorite Tracks: Elusive Reverence, Sous La Lueur De L'empereur, Earthborn Revolution and Theatrical Delirium
    Rating: 90%

    Tibi et Igni by Vader

What an impressive effort with this release by this band which will never stop to amaze me. This album is just really agressive yet so advanced and doesn't lack originality at all. All of the songs from this album are a must listen and the tempo from a song to another is really great. I also love the immersion of classical music in some tracks which brings an ambiance of some sort and helped me go along with some songs on the album.

Favorite Tracks: Go To Hell, Where Angels Weep, Hexenkessel, Abandon All Hope, The Eye Of The Abyss, The End
    Rating: 97%

    Hexenkessel:

Anihilated is a British Thrash Metal band formed in 1981 as a punk band called Prospex, then the original singer left the band, then Simon Cobb took his place in 1984 to fill as for the singer, he was also the guitarist. The band then move to Thrash Metal as their new style, the E.P. Path To Destruction (1986) was a great example that proved that the band had moved on. Then two years later, in 1988, they release their first album, Created In Hate then another one in 1989, called The Ultimate Desecration, two great albums. Then one year later, the band decided to broke up, to reform 18 years later, in 2008, with the same lineup. Two years after reforming, in 2010, the band released their comeback and third album, called Scorched Earth Policy, view as one of the best comeback album of 2010 in Metal Music industry. Then 3 years later, they released IDeviant and now in 2015 they have just released their newest album, the 17th of April, the album is called Anti Social Engineering, an album in the vein of their last one.

The band really sound like some American Thrash legends, isn't it? I just think they really sound like Slayer and their album The Ultimate Desecration really sound like a British kind of Slayer.

    Recommended Material:
Take time to listen to all of their albums, as for me I still have to listen to Scorched Earth Policy and some songs in IDeviant, but for what I've been listening so far by them, I would recommend their first two albums, Created in Hate and The Ultimate Desecration. Anonymus is a French Canadian Thrash Metal band formed in 1989 by Vocalist/Guitarist Marco Calliari. After one demo in '92, they released their first album Ni Vu, Ni Connu, who sold 3,000 copies whitout being even being in music stores, because they had already a reputation in the industry. Three years later, the band released the album Stress, their first album of many where they had lyrics more than in French. The name of the album means that they had limited time to record the album, so they had stress while rushing to finish the production of the album. Then two years later in '99, they recorded another album called Instinct with a special mixer: Colin Richardson, a guy who worked with many bands before. They then released over the course of the next years albums like Daemonium in 2002, back with a Quebecer producer this time and a first one recorded with a special guest called Mononc' Serge, the album is called L'Académie du Massacre. Then, in '06, they decided to release an album without Marco who went on a solo career out of Metal music. The album is Chapter Chaos Begin. After another collaboration with Mononc' Serge for the album Musique Barbare in 2008, they then recorded their last album to date in 2011 called L'État Brute. Currently, the band is in studio to record their next album, and there is rumours that the band is with Marco again but this is not confirmed yet.

The band wrote lyrics in various languagues. they wrote them in French, English, Spanish and even Italian.
Former member, Marco Calliari is now a popular solo artist in Quebec since he left Anonymus in 2006. He plays Italian kind of music and he gained popularity over the years due to his origins.

After 3 demos and a live album, the band recorded what would have been their first album called Pieces in 1988, but the album was never actually released, but it did make it's way through the underground through the tapes market. One year later, in 1989, the band splited-up, to reform in 1992, but for only two years, as they disbanded in 1994, the reason: Jed Simon decided to join Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend's first musical project, as a guest for the recording of his first album, Heavy As A Really Heavy Thing. In 2008, a compilation called Piece by Piece - The Anthology, was released all thanks to Jed Simon, to honour his past band. The compilation includes demo, live and studio songs.

The band was active for 9 years before spliting up in 1997. In this 9 years period the band was able to release only studio album: Кровоизлияние (Extravasation), in 1992. Currently the band is still active and their website is apparently on the way to being made for further news from the band current projects, the site is aspid-metal.com/

    Recommended Material:
Their first and only album, Extravasation is an ideal point to start off. This album sounds like a Voivod and Vektor crossover with other bands thrown in there. The album is really great with songs containing complex riffs and melodies aswell with some thrashy moments. My favorite songs off this album are Он пришел (Аспид) (It Came (Aspid)), К цели одной (Towards One Goal), Дай мне (пьеса для балета) (Give Me (Pray For A Ballet)), Эй, ты (Hey, you!), Там где ночь (Where The Night) and the instrumental song called Кровоизлияние (Extravasation).
