Trigger warning: Lots of gushing.
When I first bought my Xbox One I was excited, especially since I didn't even plan on getting one. Then I got home, and I realized I didn't get a PS4.
Well, I may be missing out on Bloodborne, Blacklight Retribution, and Kingdom Hearts 3, but at least I have this:
And I'd say that's almost a decent trade off because this game...
This game is amazing. You can grind on rails, fences, train tracks, even water, and every other horizontal bar in the entire game. You can bounce on anything that may have caused a fraction of a potential bounce in the history of ever. You can wallrun around a single building an infinite number of times without losing momentum. You can even air boost and handspring to help you close the gaps or keep your style meter high when you dun goofed and landed on the ground. The floor really is lava in this game, and the only real reason why you should be walking on the ground is to activate something. Because if you want to activate your amps, then you need to be stylish in how you play, not boring. The movement system works with the combat, and vice versa. It's smooth, it's simple to use, and it's entertaining.
The movement system is the main drive in this game for me, but I wouldn't like it as much if the weapons weren't fun to use, if the music wasn't amazing, and if the world wasn't gorgeously colorful. But they are, so I love this game.
Game of the Year for me, and a definite killer app for the Xbone in my eyes. If only it had Bloodborne though...
But what do you guys make of it?
