  1. I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say and now I don't feel like trying to explain it. I shouldn't have said anything in the first place.
  2. I never said Celestia was INTENTIONALLY causing Luna pain. I'm just gonna leave this conversation because I feel like you all think I'm an idiot. (That's the same way I felt when I asked if Duchess Diamond Waves was an alicorn.) Also, I might give up on a fan fiction I've been working on because now I feel like my idea is stupid. Thank you all so much.
  3. I never said anything about her being a grumpy guts. I've read The Journal of the Two Sisters, so I know what she used to be like (and she definitely represented the element of laughter back then). When I said she must have been miserable, I was talking about how she was in so much pain she turned into Nightmare Moon.
  4. I just watched this episode for the sixth time. That's how much I love it.
  5. When Luna and Celestia used the Elements of Harmony, Luna was the bearer of the elements of laughter, loyalty, and honesty. Laughter doesn't make sense because she was probably totally miserable. Honesty doesn't make sense because she was hiding how much she was hurting. Loyalty doesn't make sense because she turned into Nightmare Moon not long afterwards. Celestia was the bearer of the elements of kindness, magic, and generosity. Kindness doesn't make sense because she allowed her sister to suffer. If I understand correctly, magic means the magic of friendship, which doesn't make sense because she was such a terrible friend to her sister. I can't really think of anything that shows that she isn't generous. How did they use the elements when they didn't even represent them?
  6. I don't think Luna told Celestia about her self-harm. Celestia can't help her when she doesn't know what's going on. Also, I'm pretty sure it's been less than two years. The episodes just aren't in chronological order.
  7. I'm mostly fine now because I came to live with my grandparents three years ago and I have an amazing therapist. Just because you have no respect for somebody doesn't mean you won't start to believe what they say when you hear it all the time, and all Luna heard for a thousand years was how terrible she was. She must have been in therapy 24/7 until Luna Eclipsed.I'm pretty sure Luna and Celestia were in the alicorn equivalent to their early teens when they became princesses. They were mature enough to run a country, but the entire castle was a fun house for Luna. They may have been slightly younger, but certainly no older, so they were too young to be mother figures.
  8. Actually I wasn't talking about false memories. I was talking about telling her she's horrible for the things she did but saying it's more horrible than it really is. It's hard to explain, so I'll once again use my life as an example. Very bad stuff happened to me when I was little and I did some hurtful things to people and I was bullied a lot and my dad never told me he loved me. That alone would've caused some problems. But starting when I was 11, whenever I did anything bad my dad blew it way out of proportion. When he found out about things I did that hurt people, he told me how horrible it was and made me feel even worse than I already did. When I didn't do my homework for a few years because I was totally miserable, he told me I was ruining his life. When I attempted suicide for the first time, he showed me the hospital bills and told me he was gonna go bankrupt because of me. All I ever heard was how horrible I was. Nobody ever told me anything good about myself. I believed I was a horrible person. Now take that and imagine it a hundred times worse and you'll get some idea of what I'm talking about. If you tell me how to do that thingy where you hide a spoiler, I can tell you why I think it could be the same manticore. Or maybe that should be discussed through private messages since it's off-topic.Once again, I'm sorry if I'm bothering anybody by talking about my feelings and comparing them to Luna's.
  9. They could've just ran away from the manticore. Plus, I think that manticore might be the one from the Journal of the Two Sisters. (I won't say any more about him because I don't want to spoil the story.) I guess it's unlikely that he would still be alive after over a thousand years, but we don't know much about manticores.
  10. It didn't look to me like Nightmare Moon tried to kill the Mane 6. The only thing she did to them in the Everfree Forest that could've killed them was the first thing. It seemed more like she was just trying to scare them away. But I guess you are right about the rest.
  11. I firmly believe that the flashback potion lied, so there's no telling what actually happened. And I think she was possessed when she became Nightmare Moon (she let it happen, though) and the thing that possessed her spent a thousand years telling her she's a terrible pony and making her think she'd hurt ponies more than she really had.
  12. I saw that a few people don't like the fact that Celestia didn't do anything to try to help Luna. Because of my past experiences, I think I may be able to give a bit of insight into that. I think it's pretty obvious that Luna just didn't tell her. But I guess some of you people don't understand WHY she didn't tell her. If you don't want to read about my feelings that I will be using as examples, stop reading this. Anyway, for a lot of people, it's very difficult to talk about those kind of things. I don't really know why, though. I did some very bad things (not nearly as bad as Nightmare Moon, but still bad, and I hurt people who were very important to me, and I once thought of doing something that nobody would ever forgive me for) and I absolutely hated myself for it. People knew about some parts, but I didn't talk about it and I didn't tell anyone how upset I was about it. I was mentally beating myself up and I started hurting myself as punishment for the things I did. But of course I didn't tell anyone. That would've made them worried about me. And I was very good at hiding it. My dad had no idea anything was wrong until I was in the hospital for my first suicide attempt, and when I started seeing a therapist I was able to hide it from him too. I didn't tell him anything and he thought I was fine. It's actually pretty easy when you don't have full-blown major depressive disorder. Princess Luna was most likely the same in many ways. She did something terrible. She hated herself. People knew about what she did, but she didn't show just how bad she felt. She started punishing herself with nightmares (although her exact motives were different from mine). She loves Celestia and didn't want Celestia to know how much she was hurting because she knew it would hurt Celestia, especially the part about self-harming. She was able to hide her feelings very well. But I could be completely wrong about all this. After all, how everything started going long for me was very different from how everything started going wrong for Luna. It's pretty amazing that she wasn't a lot worse off than she was (mentally, I mean). Of course, she DID probably have therapy 24/7 until Luna Eclipsed (she was probably such a wreck before that episode she couldn't be out in public). Or it could just be that they couldn't show her being any more traumatized than she's shown to be in this episode since MLP is a kids show. I hope I didn't say anything stupid...
  13. That was totally AMAZING! It was so deep! (Not sure what the parents of three-year-olds who watch MLP will think, though.) I can totally relate to Luna's feelings. I too have done stuff that I've had a hard time forgiving myself for (I'm still not completely there yet), and I used to punish myself for it (except I punished myself by cutting and banging my head against stuff). This is my new favorite episode! Luna is best pony! They're about to stream it again on BronyTV. *switches tabs*
  14. I want it BEFORE then. If nobody will help me, I'll just take my chances with bronytv.net which starts in 14 minutes. My computer is still not working, so I give up on watching that episode before it's on YouTube and I'm returning this stupid useless computer.
  15. Every time I get a computer or tablet there's something wrong with it and my computer suddenly couldn't connect to the Internet (even though my tablet could connect just fine) and I missed the beginning of the first episode. I gave up my night where I'm allowed to stay up until midnight so I could wake up early and watch My Little Pony live all for nothing! *cries* I want to be able to watch it sooner than it'll be on YouTube. I gave up on bronytv.net because it keeps freezing without actually stopping and then I miss things and then I HAVE to wait. Do I have any other options for watching it?
  16. She said most bronies are rude. But she doesn't really understand people very well. She has high-functioning autism.
  17. Oh, so THAT'S why my sister dislikes bronies so much she left the fandom.
  18. I really don't care about making more friends. I have six friends (all of whom I know in real life) and that's enough for me. I just come on here when I have something MLP-related I feel like discussing. I shouldn't have started this topic.
  19. Yeah right. You're all very lucky my mood stabilizers and antidepressants work so well.
  20. Ugh, I'm just gonna leave this conversation. I think it's possible that Duchess Diamond Waves is an alicorn but you all insist it's impossible and you clearly think I'm a total idiot even though I'm very gifted. In fact, I'm probably now thought of as an idiot on here, so perhaps I should never come back.
  21. All zebras speak in rhyme. The Journal of the Two Sisters says so. Duchess Diamond Waves doesn't speak in rhyme.
  22. Zebras are black and grey striped. (Go ahead and say we don't have proof that they're always black and grey, but it was stated in The Journal of the Two Sisters that they have stripes.) She's yellow with a blue mane. So that is different. Twilight said that Zecora isn't a pony.
  23. This is called informal logic. We've seen tons of ponies, and only two, both of whom are alicorns, have manes like that. So therefore it is likely that only alicorns have manes like that. Zebras aren't even ponies. They're a different species.
