    Novel moves away from steel, feeling the shift in his aura. She keeps low to the ground, still very embarassed from the events of the day. She misses her books and tea. Oh well. Maybe when this is over she can return to her studies. Novel stood silently and awaited a command from her leaders.

    Novel flushed and bowed to Celestia with embarrassment "I'm very sorry" Novel marveled at the light leather armor with a thin lining of chainmail. Assuming the princesses were aware that she can protect herself, graciously adjusted her leather garbs to fit her right and wiggled around to see how they felt. Perfect for her! She saw the aggression and got low to the ground in attempt to avoid trouble. She did not like the feel of the group and already wanted to leave. She doesn't like the other ponies

    Novel returns the bow, "it is a pleasure to meet you." Novel kept looking at the pony with interest. She will have to learn more, but for now she needs to leave a good impression on the others and the princesses to make up for being so late to an important event. She made note of everything thing she gathered on the others

    Novel turned to Princess Luna "I hope you have armor to accommodate my magic, since heavy armor like that slows me down, but I will wear it if that is all that is available" Novel is nervous and could tell the other ponies were wary of her, she could sense it in the air around her. But she kept focused on the princess, keeping her body low in a half bow to show her sorrow and irresponsibility. While doing this she picked up the atmospheres around every pony to understand who she will be working with a little better. It is best to know your allies, even if they don't think kindly of you or really like you at all. But Novel's reasons for being late was of noble cause, after all knowledge is her greatest asset.

    Novel came galloping to the stage, completely flustered. She, yet again, was lost in another book. As she breathlessly got to the two princesses, bowing "I-I am so very sorry Princess Celestia and Luna. I was studying a bit longer than I had planned on." She kept her bow "Lunar Novel at your service Princesses." She stays low to the ground. ((I am so very sorry! Schoolwork got to me. I'm a senior so I might be a bit slow with replys but will read the story before posting regardless. Again, sorry about that and I'll start checking again now that I'm free))

    She decides to listen to what's going on around her. She smiles softly, still enjoying the fire. She thinks for a moment before getting up and walking to the dining hall. Novel grabs a plate and puts some cookies on it, before calmly walking back to the fire to relax

    She suppresses a smirk and rolls her eyes. He was so different from the other and it startled her a bit. But she kept silent and started to stare more into the fire. She is getting uncomfortable a little bit due to the amount of ponies, but the fire was so warm and she was cold

    She lifts her head and smiles softly at the newcomer "hello. You can just call me Novel. Enjoying the party so far?" She noted his speech patterns and how he was a bit louder than the other pony. She seemed still somber and kept looking at the fire, watching the snow glisten

    She wanted to say more but didn't want to talk about it with a stranger. She sighs softly and nods "it's alright. I'm just glad they're safe now under Casence's rule. I'm just lucky she rules over my home and not that tyrant" Novel sighs in regret and looks into the fire silently

    She was zoning out a bit, staring into the fire and watching the snow fall. It glistened beautifully against the fire. Her ears perked at the sound of hooves returning to the fire. Novel glanced at Mythos and listened while he talked. Not many are interested in her past, though she knew to tread carefully. "Being a scholar I get to read many books on history. And I lived through his rein. Though I have read bits and pieces of the story, I don't have access to much yet. Not to mention that information is classified. But the Crystal Empire is as beautiful as always. I miss it a little though" Novel tried to hide the hint of sadness in her voice. She missed her books and beautiful home

    Novel sits in amusement, listening to the conversations around her. She turns back to the fire and gazes into it, enjoying the atmosphere around her. Everypony is so happy and she can't help but smile in glee. But yet, she wanted to go home and curl up in a book, and she wanted to stay and socialize too.

    She hushes a little, unsure of how to answer "not really long no, but long enough. I'm from the crystal empire technically, even though I don't have the glistening coat, which is why I left. But I may stay for a while here, since the library is in ruins and every town needs a public library"

    She nods politely at the two "I've met Ahaban but not Amber, though her name is familiar." She smiles "Pleasure to meet you Amber. Many just call me novel. I run that library from my home at the end of town, since the old one is in utter ruin" She pauses before adding "You're welcome at any time if you's like to stop in and say hello"

    ((I realized this uh I guess she can just run her own for the community)) Novel grins in delight "Thank you for inviting me, I'm having a lovely time." She is just beaming at how much fun socializing actually was. She really should get out more often and cannot thank her enough for her invitation to a social gathering.

    Novel was speechless. As a unicorn who practices magic herself, this was very detailed imagery. She smiled out of joy, watching the ponies play in the snow. She watches every movement of the snow ponies. Novel could feel the presence of another pony, so she tuned her head "Ah! Plum!" Novel gets up and smiles "This is such a lovely party, thank you for inviting me" She gives a light bow of sorts.

    Novel was in shock. He was literal in his words. She knew the story by heart and he told it swimmingly. Every movement of magic, she followed, her blue eyes sparkling in pure delight. "Mythos Gray where did you learn to tell such a story!" She exclaimed in utter shock and disbelief. Novel was hooked, craving to know more about this talent of his. "I know that story by heart and never have I ever heard it told with such a realistic tone and imagery to accompany it!" She was going to say more but stopped short, slightly embarrassed at her childish outburst of sorts.

    Novel looked with interest "Clarify what you mean by bringing stories to life." She was very curious. He has a very polite tone maybe with a hint of ego. She heard the amusement in his voice, taking note of that. Novel was interested in the stallion's proud statement and the confident in his abilities, something she definitely was lacking. Maybe she could learn something new from the supposed traveler. ((In about ten minutes I might vanish for an hour or so. I'll check as soon as I can and reply when I can))

    Novel couldn't believe this was happening to her. Actual conversation on a verity of things. She was loving it. Her ears twitched more and looked up at the new guest with surprise. "Y-yes" she is slightly shocked "yes I uh spend most of my time reading in the library. I enjoy stories" Novel couldn't help but fumble over her words a bit. Too many ponies around her but oddly she wasn't as afraid as she thought. But even in addition to this, the politeness of the stallion startled her slightly.

    Novel can't help but smile softly " I love the idea of coasters, but I've never been on one myself. Like I had said I don't get out very much. I've read a lot of books on them though and plan on riding them eventually" Her ears perk towards the sounds of new voices, turning her head slightly to see where the voice was coming from

    Novel's ears perked up in interest "Poney Island! How enticing! I've never been there but it seems like a lot of fun." She grins and nods "I can imagine it gets lonely during the off season. But at least I've got endless amounts of books to keep me occupied year round." Her attention turns to Ahaban "I rarely speak unless someone needs my assistance."

    Her head perks up, and struggles to seem normal. "H-hi I'm Lunar Novel. But most call me Novel. I practically live at the library." She offers a smile and shrugs "I don't leave often so many don't see me. It's a pleasure to meet you." Novel glances at the fire and takes another sip, looking around before perking her ears at the sound of Ahaban. She smiles softly "Thank you. It's just" she pauses before sighing "I just don't leave the library much so social interactions are a bit awkward for me"

    Novel lifted her head at the new guest with a smile. She took note of his cutie mark, an open book with a dragon. She was elated! He's bound to have interest in books, maybe she could eventually have an actual conversation for once in her life. But her social habits made her put her head down and stare into the fire, nervous about people. Novel decides to keep to herself.

    Novel suppresses a smile. This pony is a bit odd but slightly humorous in nature to her. Ahaban is doing the job of the hostess. Maybe out of courtesy or self interest in the flames. Whatever it was it made her smile. The fire made her at ease, enjoying the warmth. Novel takes another sip of her cider, feeling her body relax

    Finally Novel had a place to stay for a while. She practically lives at the library and is often alone. She sits right beside Ahaban, curious about his heritage but she is too afraid to ask. She knows a little about what's going on in Saddle Arabia and knows how sensitive the subject might be. Still, she craves knowledge but doesn't want to make anypony uncomfortable.

    Novel nods in appreciation before nervously going to the dining hall. The smell of all the delicious treats tempted her, but she did not want to appear to be a glutton. Novel takes a glass of cider, using her horn to drink from the glass. As she finishes the hot cider she takes another and goes to the fire to relax. ((If I don't reply I am a student in school so I'm here just unable to respond at times))
