  1. In a word, No. I mean, I make do with being a dude. I don't plan on transitioning or anything at this point in my life, but if I could wake up tomorrow and start life completely over as a Girl, I'd do it no question. However, as deeply disappointed as I am that I wasn't born in the correct body, I do NOT let stereotypes and stupid Gender norms get in my way. If I like something, I like it. I won't avoid it just because someone tells me it's for Girls.
  2. Geez, I've never really dealt with this sort of thing in regards to liking MLP but sometimes the ignorance of people blows my mind. It has been said that Adolf Hitler's favorite film was King Kong, So does that automatically make me a Nazi since it's also one of my favorites? The logic behind the idea that all Bronies are sexual deviants is completely flawed and makes no sense. For one thing, As most Bronies know the whole Clopping thing is NOT exclusive to MLP. If I were to search the net right now for pornographic material relating to Star Wars, Scooby-Doo, The Brady Bunch, and James Bond, Chances are I would find results for all of those things. That demographic exists in every fandom, It's just that since MLP is considered by ignorant masses to be such an unusual and un-masculine thing for adult males to like, they have to look for something they perceive to be a sick and twisted aspect of the fandom so they can use it as an excuse to demonize us and say "see, all of these people who like MLP are a bunch of freaks", and so the Rule 34 thing gets magnified and focused on significantly more than porn content of any other media property. Christ, there is even Rule 34 material of the characters from Twinkle Toes, a line of light up shoes sequined shoes by Sketches aimed towards little girls that uses a cartoon girl and her pet rabbit to promote the brand. That kind of material literally exists for pretty much everything. Bronies are no different than Trekkies, or any other collective of fans who gather at cons to celebrate their favorite TV Show or Movie. People really need to get a grip on reality and realize that the world isn't Black & White, Liking a TV show has nothing to do with one's sexual orientation, and just because someone watches MLP doesn't mean they have a sexually deviant agenda, People don't watch Planet of the Apes because they want to have sex with Chimpanzees. As far as your Mom though, I would show her articles or videos that explain what Bronies actually are and I would explain that the stuff she has heard about from your sister exists in every single fandom. I do know that parents can sometimes be unreasonably stubborn tho and no matter what you try to tell them they still refuse to accept it. If you are using your own money to buy harmless things that you enjoy, it is your right to buy whatever you want. Now, My Mom has never outright tried to stop me from watching MLP or from buying merch and generally she doesn't care that I like it, but she does have that sort of ignorant attitude from time to time and tries to get on me about other stuff that I like and going out in public with MLP stuff. I don't really make a big deal about the fact that I like MLP but I don't hide it either, I keep all of my Pony stuff prominently displayed in the living room of my apartment, I've worn Pony shirts in public and have Pony keyrings on my backpack that I take to work, The entire staff of my job knows that I like MLP and guess what? Nobody cares! I have only ever received positive comments from people who were curious or also liked MLP themselves, and people from my Job have given me Pony things for Christmas and Birthdays and whatnot. It's really astounding that there are people who assume someone has malicious intentions just because they watch a cartoon.
  3. Well, It's so hard to pick just one and a few of my favorites have already been mentioned so... Here are my top picks: Olivia from The Great Mouse Dectective Gosalyn Mallard from Darkwing Duck Penny from The Rescuers Vanellope Von Schweetz from Wreck-It Ralph Bonnie from Toy Story 3
  4. I bought a first wave Twilight Sparkle brushable, and got a McDonald's Twilight on the same day.
  5. Right Here, Right Now - Giorgio Moroder feat. Kylie Minogue
  6. This is the bulk of my Collection, aside from a few odds & ends. I also have the Elements of Harmony and Journal of the Two Sisters books. The Blanket was made by my best friend from work as an in-between Christmas/Birthday present.
  7. I only have 2, but I have only ever received positive comments or compliments when wearing them. Alot of times either my shirt or the McD clip-ons on my bag are usually conversation starters and have been a good way of meeting other Bronies or people who know someone into Ponies.
  8. I love Fluttershy! I would actually have to say Twilight and Flutters are both my favorites but Fluttershy is my most favoritest, lol. I love her personality and she is so funny, adorable, and pretty.
  9. Honestly, Liking Ponies has never really been an issue for me. Aside from a few sarcastic jabs from my parents here and there, Nobody I know really cares and even the staff of my workplace all know and have bought and made Pony things for me. I've always liked whatever I wanted and I'm not going to let stereotypes and gender norms get in the way of something harmless that I enjoy.
  10. Many people I know don't even have The Hu.. I mean Discovery Family, so Netflix is really the only convenient way to see the series and view it in chronological order. I don't even have DF in HD so until Netflix picked it up I was stuck watching it in pretty crappy quality as the SD feed of that channel from my satellite is not great. Not everyone has the money or space to collect the DVDs, so many potential fans will missing out on a truly great show.
  11. Honestly, I never payed much attention to it before G4, although it it the sort of cutsey type of thing I would enjoy so I actully am surprised I wasn't into MLP before G4. G4 will always be my favorite Gen, but I do appreciate and respect previous gens for their own merits.
  12. Wow! This is very unfortunate. The last I had heard about this was Netflix stating their desire to renew it, This really, really sucks as It is the most accessible way for people to see the show. I have all the official Home Video media but it's nice for convenience to be able to watch an episode on the go whereever I want and in HD.
  13. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Fluttershy How did you find MLP Forums?: Random Internet Search. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: In early 2011 I had seen the first set of McDonald's toys when they originally came out, and I became intrigued enough by the cute character models to look up the show, and after discovering Lauren Faust was involved with it, who's work I had previously already been a fan of I decided to check it out and have been hooked ever since. Hi everypony! I've been a die hard FiM fan since early 2011, and I love discovering new online communities to talk about my favorite show on. Other than one of my best friends, I don't personally know too many Bronies or general MLP fans and I have never attended Bronycons or anything like that but I would love to some day, The closest MLP related event I have attended was MLP Fair 2012 as it was fairly local to where I live. It's nice to have a place to talk about MLP where people are as passionate about it as I am tho.
