  1. So guess it's official... I've just purchased a 3-day Canterlot Pony Badge... Which confuses me because I've also opted to volunteer work the con... If they accept my application?

  2. Oh hey thanks for not showing her with ALL that make up like that episode where she got those butterfly wings. Everyone's saying it's too much + obvious Icarus reference. This is a nice picture the landscape is beautiful it's contrast with Rarity's radiance, ya know. In further observing this picture I can't tell which is more lovely them Northern Lights above the mountains or Rarity??? But this way it seems that she's enhanced not simply contrast with the background but she's positively glowing blending into those Aurora Borealis which is a natural marvel onto its own.
  3. Sooo, Rarity, Rarity, Rarity. I know I probably haven't said this enough, but... I had a thought and it goes something like this... Rarity with body white as snow a symbol of purity. To the violet color of her hair and tail, symbols of royalty and nobility. Oh Rarity with eyes so blue they trap whoever she crossed in her gaze, as they shimmer like diamonds, like diamonds a part of her. Like diamonds so bright and so precious. Diamonds... High in value and in price yet, Rarity can have no price for she is priceless. Rarity symbolic of her very being. The sole pony among a city of ponies. She is the only Rarity. No one else. Rarity means something that rarely happens or comes once in a while and is well rare. I offer people often thought Rarity was selfish and snobby with her high society feelings, but she turns that concept on its head when she shows her compassionate "generous" side. Making you love her all the more. Neigh sayers will say their neighs but I will always cheer "YAY!" for Rarity. #RarityisBestPony
  4. No... I do not think this is some kinda "furry" movie, made by furries for furries. Like, that's ridiculous right. There have been countless talking animal movies in past years and Disney, Dreamworks or animation as a whole is no stranger to talking anthropomorphic animals. It's just easy and people know kids love them. Don Bluth has made a few talking animal films too. Why does the furry question only come up with this movie? I mean look at it like this. You have 'Disney's Robin Hood', the story done by using animals for the cast. Or 'The Great Mouse Detective', or the film 'Chicken Little". That had "Furries" too... right? It seems, if you put clothes on an talking animal, guess that makes them "furries", right? Hey, just look at Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny or If you wanna split "hares" here. The question, that 'Zootopia' is meant to be "furry" or whatever this thread is implying... Just seems silly and someone's over thinking it. It's just another cutesey talking animal movie... It doesn't look half bad either, it's something I'll probably see when it comes out instead of opting to wait for rental like how I do sometimes with kids' movies or something more aimed at kids. Kids can be some of the worst movie goers... At least what I hear anyways. Ya know, in them trailers when the cop bunnygirl and Mr. Fox go into an "animal" version of the DMV and ALL the clerks are sloths... The next few seconds is painfully obviously slow that you felt for rabbit girl who was like all rabbits in a rush. The other second, I saw that scene I was like "Oh they're so slow". You thought like that rabbit girl with her hurry to move the scene and that fox is totally trolling her cause that face he makes. I know foxes are rabbit eaters... In this case, it looks like he's just trolling her to and like he's giving her a hard time? The emphasis of sloths being... really... sloooowwww. Man that was hard to sit through. Then the sloth turns to a female coworker sloth and tries to relay the joke Mr. Fox told him. Imagine getting the punchline to a joke a mile before they do. It was hard to sit through but funny how Mr.Fox seemed to be trolling the rabbit cop girl. Anywho what was I talking about. Furry or not furry? Who cares, it's just another talking animal movie... Which looks good anyway. (Did You Know) Three Toed Sloths are really good swimmers? Despite being slow movers. When they're swimming it almost looks like normal speed... Like 3X faster than it moves.
  5. Hey uh so last time I was on BABS Con website. Looks lik the voice of Starlight Glimmer is on the guest list. I've never been to a brony convention but based on a few videos I've seen about these cons is...

  6. MLP grooming tips??? Anypony's welcomed to share their cosmetic experiences.

  7. This may sound silly but... Does anypony know what "fandom name" means? I think it could mean "brony"... is it Brony?

hmmm. right. well I'd say seeing is believing at this moment in time. Why don't you go to either Bronycon.org or Babscon.com and check out their registration forms. On them will be a box reading "Fandom Name" I think it's gonna show on the badges they give you. I saw it briefly a few moments ago but I'm planning on volunteer working the con it will tell me whether or not I like the idea. I've never worked a con too either but the benefits are about the same as an e...

entry cost for basic attendees logically you still get to see the show and don't have to wait in line to get in. I keep thinking of people who go to these things and end up waiting all day and miss the event. Such would be a drag of the most bogus. At least that's what I hear about ComiCon huge lines and really crowded if you don't like swimming through a sea of humans then maybe not so much ComiCon.

  8. So.... I did it you guys. I actually went out in a store and bought several MLP Rarity items. first was a little toy ya know them figures with the outrageous hair when you let them out. I'll talk about that later on... Something that looks similar but has a strange mark on it I guess is a kinda of code scanner. All the more motivation I need to get something with I in it. I thought a tablet would suit me better than a phone because of the contracts... Anywho, glossing over that bit we come to another place cause my interest is peaked. Hasting's Books, Games and Video store. I looked and saw one a few I already had except for this one with glittery hair looks almost like somepony stitched garland into her hair... This store didn't have a self check out option. More discreet there also still strangely keeping close by bronyness. Which is strange since I'm planning on going to a convention with other bronies... Life is strange huh. Anywho I make one last stop, however I didn't get anything I did browse and find something new. Wal*Mart had the large plush MLPs with the ribbon hairs. Well I did find Rarity at this last store which was a KMart. Also there was this Rarity with way too many marks looked more like tattoos than the marks which strangely don't seem like tattoos? Well this one has accessories and a light up feature. But I chose to put it on the back burner since them plushies weren't cheap (for their size they seemed a bit much) and now this latest adventure nearly sucked me dry. Anywho back to these mini figures that I mentioned... Why is the manes so crazy? the poor toys were surrounded by untamed locks. Now I tried running a comb I had through it but it snagged on what I think are knots like we get in our hair. I thought should I cut it maybe with some small scissors? I saw a style video on how to fix her. Which meant you don't have to cut it up. For those of you who doctor up your toys to look more "Show Accurate". Care to give me some tips? I know I said I wouldn't mess with them. But those plush things would come right out their heads if I went to work on them the ones with hair and not plush hair like the first one. These ones appear to be firmly fixed into the toys that you apparently can fix them which involves water and like for Rarity, straws for curls and paper towels fixed... Shucks the result was so good. What would mine look like with my little to no knowledge about cosmetics or barbers, uh, haircutting and hairstyles. Ya know the Rarity Booktique playset comes with a Rarity figure... I wonder if I should have gotten any other ponies and got Rarity with that set automatically. Send in the Rarity clones LOL.
  9. Sooo, here's a thought... This maybe all just a self esteem issue here but. For those of you still keeping the Brony to yourselves. Have you ever been caught "bronying". Ya know, like you're walking through your local Wal*Mart store and pass the area where they keep the toys and maybe you curiously look over and come to the MLP aisle... amongst the other pink stuff. Suddenly someone walks by and you suddenly shy away from looking, like you weren't just browsing the toys? I'm 28, to be in any toy aisle at this point is kinda weird maybe taboo even. Still sometimes I'm guilty of looking at the new TMNT action figures and remember the old 80's when they had TMNT action figures and yeah I have this strange interest in toys even now I remember killing hours making up stuff with my figures to do... Would I actually get anything? Idk, it's society I'm meant to put away childish things. Thinking about getting a sweet new action figure or even buying more MLP themed merch is fine it's not hurting anyone to think right. But you still have to get that through the item checker I recommend self service it's kinda of personal. If you're keeping the MLP stuff on the DL. Yet should I really be concerned with my Bronyness when I'm planning on visiting a MLP themed convention.. or two. However actually bringing yourself into the aisle and getting something. Idk. I'm still kinda sure that some are not ready to know this about me. People can think you're some kinda of weirdo or something. People can be cruel, judgmental, and maybe that's still my old insecurities because I've never been really good at "Don't care what people thinking". Ya know... What do you think? Also... Here's something Rarity I dug up to make this post relevant to the thread
  10. If you mean movie as in the theater sense. Then the last movie I saw was "Daddy's Home". It was funny I guess. Seemed to poke fun at the fact that Mark Wahlberg was "the man" the way the film kept shooting him and mentally admitted you wanted to be him. I get it, alright. Overall I thought it was funny (thought out of place) at the end of the film... No Spoilers if you haven't seen it yet. The movie is basically stepdad, Will Farrell vs dad, Mark Wahlberg and let the comedy hijinks begin. Now that I think of it the second time that Will Farrell and Mark Wahlberg were in a movie together since The Other Guys... That was funny too.
  11. OMG! A topic about theme songs huh? Oh boy where do I begin while not coming off as if I'm just taking a popular theme song and saying that if I had a theme song that played as I moved around. Ya know like when Peter Griffin wished he had his own theme song. Sure it got annoying to everyone but life doesn't come with your own awesome theme song. Anyways I'm stalling here. So if I had a totally awesome theme song, I'd have to say it would be composed by Hans Zimmer. That dude makes the best soundtracks these days. I'm especially interested in 'Knights March' from King Arthur. But Hans Zimmer's epic work aside.... I've discovered other music made by these "trailer music" composers Globus, Two Steps From Hell, Audiomachine, Bruton Music, Thomas Bergersen, and Ivan Torrent. Guess I have too many awesome soundtracks I can't pick just one. Sometimes when I hear a track on loop, it has been known to get old. Then I don't hear them as much which is sad ya know. I hope this answers the question even though it goes all over the place with the music. For now I'll choose 'Knights March' it's just so regal when you walk into a room or making an epic entrance. -SuperBrony87
  12. Security is very important. It maintains order by keeping out those who don't belong stay out. To keeping the VIP and Princesses safe as you escort them to their next places. Ya know somedays I wanna be a bouncer #RoundHouseKick

  13. So, new plans. I'm thinking of trying out BABS Con before I tackle BronyCon. I still might but I realy don't know what I'm getting into. Especally since I'm considering working the con in order to get benefits for it and see just how it all works. Maybe see if I even like the MLP cons? So I'm busy filling out an application. Posepone the BronyCon Maryland is not ready for SuperBrony... Or I'm not ready for Maryland.

  14. Also I think she has purple eyes... Her hair is purple. I think these guys over looked that. At first I thought it was just purple being viewed through a brown plastic bag as I was smuggling her to my car. (I paid for it don't worry) (The discreet must be upheld for some are not ready to learn of my Bronyness) but at a closer looked later on once compared to my larger Rarity plush shows her eyes are blue. This fuzzy little one indeed has purple eyes. Like they thought I wouldn't notice. Anywho... I don't think I'm gonna mess with her hair and just leave her as she is. Looking all "caught out in the rain".
  15. I know people do watch VHS tapes, but I don't understand why? Then again, I have seen a Hasting's video, games and book store. selling vinyl record turntables. What else boggles me is that if someone were to choose VHS over clear and high def DVDs... As to what people prefer to watch. Part of the reason I think the VHS died out was not just cause they were obsolite. I say it was cause people got them but maybe forgot or just didn't care to rewind. Leaving the next renter to first rewind then watch the movie. You could see how that might be confusing? VHS were poor quality and they had to be rewind and sometimes had bits where static like snow fell over the video. Also known as "Tracking". It was often annoying now that I think of it. My sisters watch VHS films once I came in the room and they were watching The Count of Monte Cristo. The tape was of course old so it had the static poor quality snow covering the video. I'm sure you could get the same film on Blu Ray Disc and the film would play through clear and clean with no static or snow storms and annoying Tracking. Nowadays I prefer renting Blu Ray movies because even DVDs can act up when they're older. early 90's films released on DVD can have horrible scratching resulting in scenes stalling and skipping. To the film just freezing cutting next a whole scene.
  16. I'll tell you what doesn't seem to fit. These Pregnant MLP toys that I've seen come up on MLP related searches on YouTube. My surprise is not from seeing a EG Pregnant Rarity figure. My Surprise was from why does THAT need to be? Pregnant MLP Pony figures even. The fact may stem from the recent The One Where Pinkie Pie knows in which the topic of pregnancy comes up. Also EG is set in High School so aren't the girls "supposed" to be teenagers? Or older young adults due to the fact that none of them act like teens. Which means the High School setting is still out of place. Sure it was always weird ever since the first EG film. My point is I don't know if I want or like seeing them make Rarity Pregnant. Real talk if this was to happen to a IRL like Rarity. A baby would be bad for Rarity's active career right now, ya know? She'd have to quit fashion design and devote her life to raising a kid... If she's a single mother she can't to make dressed and raise a kid, or a foal. A baby changes everything ya know.
  17. I was out today and went in to get a simple soda. I look over in the aisle with the seasonal decorations. It was showing for Valentine's Day in January but then again they like to get the current holidays done then immediately set up for the next one... Anyways atop one of the shelves was MLP. I they were small, fuzzy, and the manes were actual hair. The problem was they weren't "show accurate". The one I got was Rarity of course. And her mane was tied into a pony tail but I am getting off track here. So her tail was not tied up and is actually a pony tail ... So the reason I am writing this is those of you who "doctor up" your figures. How do you go about that without ripping out the hairs like a cheap Halloween mask? I took off the rubber band like bind to release her mane and there was strands of hair in the rubber band. I fear if I try to "mess" with the hair, that it will fall out. Needless to say I got a new MLP merchandise and I'm thinking of starting up a collection. I don't even know if I'll look towards the other Mane Six... BTW Pinkie Pie's mane was probably the most accurate of the six. It was also really big and made up that it looked like Pinkie Pie's hair got way frizzy and messy. It was also glittery. This is a pic of the figure I bought. Which wasn't that much different than the larger one you've seen me post a while ago. Anyways I Googled her and here it is. Well I guess they fixed up the photo ones because mine looks like Rarity in the rain.
  18. On the road to BronyCon2016. It's gonna be a long trip, it's gonna take more out of me than I'd like to. Maybe I should consider a role as a staff worker or a gopher or whatever my Mom was trying to get me to do. She was convinced that volunteer working there could be just as fun as just attending. I thought about things like "but I might not get to cosplay" or "Sounds like more work than exploring and having fun?

    1. DuskRain

      DuskRain

Im pretty jealous. Have fun doing whatever you are going to do when you get there!

  19. I was content with keeping it to myself too. I really don't think think there's a "push" to telling you're a brony. I think largely some people still find it strange and if you're a teen. Kids can be so curel! But I made up my mind that I wanted to go to Bronycon. But, first I had to tell my folks my plans. At first I told my Mom what I wanted to do. I was given quote the dilemma. Even if I was to undertake this "road trip", I'd need to come up with a good solid plan. I could simply get a pass, try and book a room pretty easy. I'd even say getting a costume for cosplay might work out. I can't say the same for the travel plans. I live in Arizona and it's held in Baltimore these days. I'd be up for the biggest experience of my life. Will it change it? I don't think so but it should be quite the eye opening experience... One way or another. So my big thing this year is to get more out of it. Work out to get into the desired shape before summer, get a decent costume together. That's not crazy expensive but good enough to turn heads. Then there's hoping my car will drag me all the way to Maryland safely I might add. It's really anyone's perspective of the matter.
  20. Hey, I got to ask something. Could anypony please meet me here and hear what I have to say please?

  21. Rarity, Rarity, Rarity... What the very sound of your name rings in my ears when I think of you. Ode to the mare that everypony should know. Popularity thy name is Rarity. Behold Rarity in all her splendid beauty.
  22. Rarity: A Short Story by SuperBrony87 One day, I met a lady. An ivory mare unicorn with a curly, glittery violet mane and she had a shiny polished horn. She was the pony, RARITY... Rarity, both in name and Rarity in her beauty, for whom which no pony else can rival. She looked at me and I was taken aback (blush), for she was attractive to the eyes, truly alluring. It was like gazing onto precious gems like diamonds or sapphires. various gems that sparkle in the light. I was suddenly aware that I was very much nervous from her gaze. Knowing that I am not a noble stallion or wealthy. Frankly the way she acted and carried herself. I felt unworthy to look upon such beauty and grace. Once, I got over that and snapped back to my senses. The she was still there before me. She didn't actually reject me straight out the gate nor did she turn away from me... I stayed and relaxed some. Once we got to talking, I took notice of how intelligent she truly was. Rarity was a lady of refine tastes and style, she liked to hold herself in high standards. Some might say she's selfish, snooty and a drama queen. I say she's not those things. She goes on to mention she's passionate about "generosity". Which is probably the exact opposite of selfish if you ask me. Afterwards, Rarity and I took a stroll and more was revealed to me... Like how insightful she was how she took notice of details which plays well into her chosen career as a fashion designer. I knew of her through magazines that she was in. I'm not one for women's fashion so when I say "Seen her in Magazines, that had her in them" I mean, I glanced them in the stacks of the store's magazine aisles shelves. However you don't need to be a mare to know that she is very talented in her work. I told her right off that and she was delighted... Whether it was the praise or the fact that she was getting mentions that she was in a magazine, as she has tried to get her face in magazines for years. Could be either or both. Who doesn't like receiving acknowledgement for your work? I know I do. So back to the story... We walked and talked and walked some more and as we kept on soon it was getting late and I told the fair Rarity that I'd like to see her tomorrow night for I had booked us tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala. She was elated when I mentioned The Gala she appears to really love it. I was even more elated that she agreed to my invitation. As I said aside from the fact I was doing my best to be of my absolute BEST behavior. I was still an average stallion... Tomorrow night. That night... I arrived at The Gala and made sure that I dare not be late for it is rude to keep a lady waiting and I knew that. She arrived and she looked at me and she smiled. I waited still then she walked over to me and we entered together. I held my passes out for the gate guard to see and permit us to enter. Then going in there was another door. I opened the door an let her pass a demonstration of my uh gentleness. The Gala was all impressively decked out with all the snazzy decors. Princess Celestia was overseeing the event herself, as she always does. Looking radiant as she always does. In my mind I thought Rarity was even more radiant tonite... and hoped dearly that she couldn't read minds... Wait! You mean she CAN?... oh boy, hehe, (gulp). Yet despite my sudden worries... I hoped that this night would go out splendidly for her. Then, I offered to get Rarity a drink from the snack bar with all the assorted goodies and the finest punch you'd see at these gigs, I hear that The Gala gets 3 star chefs to cater these gigs. The finest restaurants in all of Equestria. This is actually the first time I attended one of these... So like a proper gentleman pony that I was and hoped deeply that it was working on her. See, Rarity was a lady that you did not want to disappoint. Odds are you'll never get another chance with her. So when she agreed, "Oh yes please, thank you darling." She replied. I went and got her a drink from the snack table adorned with fancy foods and the finest liquids, I got a glass filled it with the drink then I walked back and carefully handed the glass to her. A spill on her fine dress would not farewell for me here. My worries aside when she takes the glass with her unicorn magic, the horn not even more shiny with a sapphire glow, it seemed to bring out her eyes as the glow what the blue like her eyes... I waited a while, then soon I got the notion to ask her to a dance. Yet I would have not minded if she told me something or asked me. Ya know to give me a sign that she was willing or whatever, instead of me just suggesting things... You gotta time these things just right or everything could fall apart... She was a proper lady. The perfect gentleman, pony for a perfect lady. So I had all the moves, we danced and flowed around the dance hall giving a rather impressive performance while doing so. (If I do say so myself) I was hard determined not to screw this up with her. Which fueled my desire to make this night an absolute dream for her. Even if for one night that I could be her Stallion. This was gonna be quite the night to remember. Young was the night and our first dance ended. As the night went on, I could go for a few more round but why rush anything? So we stepped out for a spell and I led her out onto a balcony, then we looked out on the beautiful night sky above and I gave thanks to Princess Luna for such a display tonight. (I wonder if she heard me?) So moving on, me and her under that night sky with it on Rarity's eyes were magnificent. I was truly looking at such beauty that for a moment remembered the feeling from before that I was unworthy to even look at her. Yet here I was with her nonetheless, and the night was indeed going splendidly. Absolutely nothing could ruin this night. I probably should mention that she was not bored either. (BONUS!) We got to talking again and that was nice too but I would have loved us just staying here in this moment and that it would just stand still. Gazing upon her and admiring her. Ah, the sheer wonder of a perfect night sky... Especially when the sky is reflected in her eyes. I want to kiss her but I withheld myself. Well, this IS our first date. If even there was to be more. A true gentlepony does not kiss on the first date... Even if the night goes so well. So magical, so perfect such as tonight. I must be absolutely sure when and where it is time to. maybe there will be more days, more nights to see what unfolds. Until then, I remain here in the moment with her... Rarity, the most beautiful, the most radiant pony in all of Equestria. To think this all started from a chance meeting and to me. Surely, I am a lucky pony to have had such an experience.
  23. Meh... Just meh. I could be in a minority here but was it necessary? It was so brief, that I barely noticed anything. Certainly didn't look "lewd". Well, you could just look at this scene and see nothing much happening now if something say groping or if they kissed at all. Also, I while I don't watch Steven Universe as much as Adventure Time. I don't know much about the situation. We're talking about The UK who's censorship makes US censorship look like well this to a cartoon that is rather tame as in terms of "Adult themes". In UK's case... Does anyone remember when The 1987 TMNT was "Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles" in the UK? Well I remember reading that they didn't like the ninja element. Could be too violent or scary for kids. The show has never been more violent or scary whenever I watched it. They traded the dark and gritty and yes violent look of the comics (which at the time was NOT kid friendly ninjas died with like blood and stabbing) and they swapped that for a light, comical, goofy humored show, where the violence is often slapstick at best. The worse the violence goes is busting up robot foot ninjas, because, at least that's acceptable for parents and kids. If they're not fighting humans then it's okay to slice and dice them up. The Censorship system or parental complaints... You decide which is more exasperating? Also, FU... SION... HA!!! That's from Dragon Ball Z or in case you've been living under a rock. DBZ rules LOL!

Hey there! Sorry I missed you. I am alright, A bit busy but okay. how are you.

  25. RARITY How does one describe who she is? I'll tell you in my own words about Rarity come with me? This is gonna be tough... Well here goes... Who is Rarity... Hmmm? R. Rarity is a Lady. A. Alluring like diamonds or sapphires R. Rarity in name, Ravishing in Appearance I. Intelligent and intuitive she takes attention to detail. Which plays into her intellect. T. True vision of beauty and generosity, which is her element. How can you not like her? Y. Y... You'd have to be crazy or blind to ignore that she's the best pony of MLP. After some digging I discovered that it's hard to find complimentary words that start with Y, hahaha. Okay, that (in my own words) is my take on Rarity of MLP FiM. Like if you agree. What words would you use to describe RARITY? Comment please I'm curious as to your picks? I don't care if you Google your words. I did trying to find a good Y word. Of the words that are nice complimentary words that is. - SuperBrony87
