MLP is like anime. They write as they go. Hay the history is all over the place, and new characters and places are being revealed all the time. So, most likely it was just an artist effect.

Before I got into the fandom, in high school, I saw a kid who was showing a video of the clipped scene where Fluttershy "breaks" the bear's neck... Then we got into a discussion about a guy who was a brony. Bronies are somewhat misrepresented to most others, who may use the mainstream view of bronies to not even think of watching the show. But that may not relate to this topic... See, I believe if more people had an open mind, this show would be a whole lot more popular, but people are pretty fixed with certain labels, and don't want to go outside their comfort zone. I was never going to watch the show, because I thought bronies were weird, so I wasn't going to do their acts. I then watched the show (still finding a lot of bronies to be weird *a-hem* shipping) and found that I enjoyed the show. I didn't know why, but I do now (not getting into that). Point I'm trying to make is that, perhaps the show isn't heavy in pop culture because people don't have an open mind to things... So, it may be there slightly, but no. I don't think pony is growing in pop culture; it just has yet to be discovered.

Hmm... My OCs aren't the most known, in fact one lives in the middle of nowhere in a town of 10 ponies, and the other travels outside Equestria, only coming back to visit. But if they were known, one would probably be known for her strength and rare artifact collection, the other for his magical abilities and overkill kindness/love.

Don't matter to me, I hardly stay around for creds anyways Although I am very much thankful to the people in them! (XD Idk why I can't sit through them when I think about it).

It never will, no ships will in general. Ships are completely irrelevant to the series and what it stands for. It's something that the fandom has (though I never understand why), and that's where it will stay. Unless it is a logical thing for the series to have, and one thing that won't get news stations attention (which it could possibly do, showing stuff like what the fandom creates shipping wise, is a little mature for the audience intended). Really, I'm just saying this isn't really a topic worth questioning (though I'm sure everyone is aware). But I guess I put my answer in the above, so I'm still being relevant to it.

Cuddle is as confident in her abilities as ever. But can sometimes overestimate her abilities... Bright is super confident... But is also overly nice, so he'd probably back down on a lot of things. Silent is well... He doesn't talk. So he really keeps to himself, but is confident in is abilities when it comes to flight.

Most popular and least is going to vary. I don't think it should be added in an opinionated discussion XD. Most Popular (Might as well ): Fluttershy (The fan art of her and remixes with her are everywhere) Least: Flash Sentry... In the sense he's disliked (it kind of reminds me of Donald Trump's popularity when I think about it ) Best Mane Six: Pinkie Pie Best Villain: Starlight (in terms of her actual power) Best Princess: Celestia (Trollololol) Best Side Pony: ... I really don't know or think about many. But I guess Granny can be fun with the old person talk.

All ships. Because they don't make sense to me (Lol sorry if I offended in some way). Unless they were meant to be in the series... ("Canon" although there's a vid that proves everything is canon)
