  1. I do, yes. I said "sexuality", not "sexual orientation".
  2. Well, I was actually replying to another post of yours there... ;P
  3. Wasn't Princess Luna in the moon for the entirety of those 1000 years
  4. Their cider is overrated, and I've found worms in their produce before. I think it's about time for Granny Smith to retire.
  5. I'm assuming you've studied the history of the British Empire in school. Sorry, I didn't mean your specific situation - I thought your "piece of shit" analogy might be claiming the US was a "piece of shit", so I was saying seeing more of the world might make you more grateful to live in America.
  6. The interesting thing is, that was never actually confirmed. Lauren Faust explained that she liked the idea of them living with Granny, but wanted to keep the family dynamic tight and small. As for where the parents were *in-universe*, she said she would've "simply" liked to say they were dead (the "simply" hints that was just because that would be the easiest and most straightforward way to explain their absence), but that it would've most likely been deemed too dark for a kids' show - So instead, she and the others discussed making them traveling salesponies or explorers instead. She went on to say that where they are hasn't been defined until they appear in an episode.
  7. Try traveling a little. Maybe you'll actually be grateful for what you have. Care to clarify what you mean? If America's so bad, why do foreigners keep pouring in here? (Unless that's *why* it's bad now in your eyes.) America's one of the best places to live in the world, and frankly anyone who tries claiming otherwise must be awfully sheltered.
  8. I'm so sorry this fandom's been such a bad influence on you. I know, you're growing up, but trust me when I say the folks here don't reflect healthy sexuality.
  9. Oh - and how could I forget Tartarus?
  10. Fluttershy is a real mystery, since there's no indication at all of her having a job of any kind. I had a theory recently that maybe she's actually mostly self-sufficient, maybe occasionally bartering or selling small things (like eggs from her chickens) for a few bits. As for Twilight, though... Princess Celestia arranged for her to stay at the library in the pilot, so maybe Celestia has something to do with her being able to live there permanently. I mean, the library is probably a public building, right? Would she really have to pay bills? As for her castle, why would she pay bills for that? She's royalty now, it's her castle, and it literally sprouted out of the ground. Of course, if by "bills" you just mean general living expenses... Pre-princesshood, I figure she was getting some scholarship money from Celestia's school, or a royal stipend from Celestia. Post-princesshood... I don't think the royals have to worry about their personal expenses. It probably all comes out of the royal treasury.
  11. Well, it's not just their house (though that's part of it); Bow Hothoof, at least, has a definite blue collar feel to him.
  12. No, I'm leaking spoilers for one of the best issues of the comics, which came out last year. Honestly feels like an actual show episode. Quick, check out this link:
  13. Naw, those two are friends now, ever since the Yakyakistan incident. Boy, did Shining feel silly for misjudging Blueblood.
  14. You know what would be cool (but which they would never do)? If Celestia were the ultimate villain of the whole series. Hear me out. I'm thinking of her in a more "well-intentioned extremist" sense than an outright malicious character. We still haven't got an answer on just how she's managed to live 1000 years - the show never actually said "it's because she's an alicorn". They could go some dark places with that. Character development for Twilight, too, where she learns she has to stop idolizing Celestia.
  15. I don't know, what are they hinting? I really don't think there's any double entrende at play in the dialogue you quoted, either. But I completely agree with you on the "kissing" part. Really bothersome. :/
  16. Yeah, that was my old headcanon... except we just saw them in the show at last, and they're not rich like I headcanoned.
  17. Sometimes the show uses realistic horse behavior/body language, sometimes it doesn't. "Shared breathing" (a horse behavior) seems to co-exist alongside human-style lip kissing; we see both in evidence in a recent episode.
  18. Why is Trottingham, on the Griffish Isles, actually *within* Equestria? Camelot and medieval thatched roof villages sure don't seem like "America" to me either. Equestria (and the geography of the lands beyond) aren't a complete America expy, as much as they seem to forget that in more recent seasons. Heck, Faust wanted to name Ponyville "Fillydelphia", so she might not have planned for the America name puns to mean anything. At least early in the show, Equestria seemed more like a mix of ancient Greek stuff (see the Royal Guards' armor, chariots, Celestia having a golden apple tree, Tartarus, etc. etc.) and fairy tales (Camelot, Cinderella stuff in The Best Night Ever, etc.) - so ancient Greece with a sprinkling of medieval.
  19. Get the Nintendo Switch. All you can do with merch is display it; the console will give you much more entertainment. The merch can wait a little longer.
  20. I don't know; I only got here in 2015 myself. From what I've seen, the fandom sure isn't as wholesome as the show. Not sure how it was when you were around.
  21. Oh. Okay. So you're not actually too far off. In that case, you haven't missed *that* much.
