  1. I am a follower. I absolutely hate responsibility. Not saying I am not responsible because I am one of the most responsible people I know. But I don't want people putting responsibility on me. I thrive in an environment where I know the rules and am given freedom to operate freely within the rules. It makes me irritated with people who are rule breakers. And I don't mean people who are groundbreakers, I just mean people who break rules to break them when it serves no purpose but to benefit them in some way.
  2. Right now I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I purchased an item on eBay. The seller has 100% positive feedback and has not had a single neutral or negative feedback for over a year. Stated on the listing, the seller usually ships 2 to 4 business days. My experience has been bad in my opinion. I paid immediately after purchasing as I always do. The seller printed a label on the last business day of handling. The tracking didn't update for over 48 hours after that. I contacted seller who said they had to work over time and couldn't ship but they would ship that very day. After 72 more hours, the tracking finally updated to accepted at 4:15am on Sunday (today). So clearly, the seller didn't drop it off at 4am on Sunday but there's no way to know if she really shipped the day of my email or not. Even if she did, she technically barely missed the handling time stated in the listing. If she didn't, she definitely went over the handling time and could miss eBay's estimated delivery date by 5 business days. Now shipping could take another 8 days meaning it could end up being 18 days from the day I paid to the day I receive my item. In contrast, I purchased a very similar item from the same distance away, item using the same shipping method, and that seller had the item at the carrier within one business day and the delivery date is estimated well within a reasonably expected time frame. So, I completely realize that everything surrounding shipping is estimated but I feel very compelled to leave honest feedback for seller #1, which would be neutral at best, but especially if shipping misses ebays estimated delivery date. I feel like I must be being unreasonable since all other feedback for that seller is positive and talks about super fast shipping. Anyways what would you do? Put a black mark on a perfect record and be honest about your experience and expectations? Or suck it up as being largely out of the sellers control?
  3. This is one of those plots that could easily have three legitimate alternative endings.
  4. Oooooh the plot thickens!
  5. Wow, a part 2 kinda. Cool I like it!
  6. Borrrrrreeeeedddddduuuhhhhhh. Could fall asleep at my desk right now. Completely unmotivated. Waiting for USPS to update tracking statuses on two packages, each coming from 1500 miles away and opposite directions. Both stuck at "pre-shipment." Waiting on 5 o'clock and it's only freaking 1:17. Waiting for Thursday afternoon to get here cuz im off Friday. All I want to do is go home and sleep.
  7. Did anybody catch Twilight sparkle giving the princess/pageant cupped hand wave? I did.
  8. I'm on board with the evil dead remake. I thought it was gory and violent, but not scary. I dunno I guess it depends on what you find scary. If you think slicing your own tongue with a razor blade is scary, then that one is not the worst. What was the one with Paris Hilton in a wax museum? That one was definitely terrible.
  9. First off, SOOOOOOOOOO happy that ponys are back!! F that hiatus! While Rarity is not one of my favorites, i liked this episode. The story line was perfectly fine, it fit into the season progression just fine, all the characters were great in my opinion, the morals were fine. I thought the pacing was good. I'm not that big on musical numbers, so I could've lived without that. A couple of things I could mention are that 1, Sassy Saddles successfully gave off the experience vibe, and I felt like it made Rarity look a bit out of touch or naive about fashion in the big city, which I didn't like. Though her expertise certainly won out at the end, thank goodness. Also, SS's horn and body design bothered me some but I loved her multicolored mane. And 2, I loved all the fresh new background ponies. Lots of new color combos, hairstyles, and cutie marks. I get it that the canterlot population is more fixated on outward appearance so it went over very well to me. The mare with the stacked angle bob mane totally made me want to cut my hair again. I rocked that style for years. I'm tired of seeing the same old background ponies, so I guess I should say I like it when the mane 6 gets out of Ponyville. But even still, there were fresh ponies in this episode that I've never seen in canterlot before. Oh ya and I thought that there were several shots that will def become memes in the near future. Overall, thumbs up from me.
  10. Oooh Halloween is my favorite holiday. Are there any threads of posters adding pics of them in costume??
  11. I have been feeling much better these last few days. Getting alot accomplished at work, which builds my confidence. Plus looking forward to a 4 day weekend.
  12. I routinely get told I look like I'm 25. I'm 36.
  13. You mean Alec. that's my favorite movie.
  14. Frustrated that internet searches are worthless nowadays. Search results get junked up by the crap companies that pay to get their site to show up first, even if they only have one word in common with the search words. Maybe I'm an idiot but how does a person get to find what he searches for without generic and broad category sites junkung up the first several pages of results!? And I've tried using quotation marks and that never works.
  15. Is that the movie where the kids braces wire wraps him up in a metal cocoon?
  16. I am scared of Large Marge to this day. The imagery of the ghost in the Grudge haunts me still, that she comes out of shadowy places.
  17. Flying/stinging/biting bugs The dark Speaking in front of people Empty swimming pools Lotus pods
  18. They are all beautiful, and it makes it a tough vote. I like the style Danish toenails used.
  19. So, they have human-like feelings and personalities? I think I'd pass. To much like having a child I think.
  20. Definitely the loose/lose thing. Also, writing would of/should of/could of. It's HAVE! would have/should have/could have I know we SAY of but it's have! What we are actually saying is would've/should've/could've. There have been times I was too lazy to fix a wrong auto-correction and I suspect a lot of people just don't bother. That could contribute to some misspellings or misuses.
  21. Wow some ponies around here are psychic. This is the second time today that I came to the forum to start a thread about something and, all of a sudden, there's a thread on the very topic on my mind sitting in the top boards list. Wow. I was born in 79 so the 80s decade was. my. shit. I had almost every freaking thing that makes up the 80s. If I didn't have it, my best friend did, and I practically lived at her house. By the mid 90s, eh I was getting over pop culture and getting into 20% cooler stuff by learning to drive, hung out with older kids, left high school half days to attend a vocational program and made friends from bigger and better schools than my own, ya know, stuff like that. Still, I have alot of 90s nostalgia too tho. I didn't stop taking in culture until I was into working full time, sometimes 2 jobs, and I didn't have as much free time. I have a shit ton of favorites from the 80s decade, be it movies/tv, board/video games, toys, books, etc. The reason I was looking to start a new thread tho, is because, 30 years later, I still can't get over how awesome the intro to Thundercats is. Hands down without a doubt, Thundercats is one of the best cartoon intros I've ever seen. Granted I haven't seen every cartoon intro ever made, and sure, nostalgia plays a huge part, but if you watched after school cartoons in the 80s, you know what I'm talking about. Thundercats was an awesome show at the time and the intro just gives me chills. Even if it's not my absolute favorite cartoon of all time, the intro just can't be beat in my opinion. I'd like to see other people's favorite show intros too if anybody has any. https://youtu.be/HcGNqrAtsgg Hope the url pastes ok
  22. I had an extremely anxiety ridden day at work last week, and today I had an early meeting that was also very hard for me. I have been reading some articles just now about turning anxiety into excitement. Since those two states appear to evoke the same physical reactions, it stands to reason that it may be possible to just switch the perception of those physical reactions from fear or nervousness to actual excitement and happiness. Along with my other coping mechanisms, I want to give this method a try.
  23. Today was even worse! Near panic attack! But it's almost the end of the day and I'm off work for the weekend. So it's looking better!
  24. I felt extra cringey and anxious today. Like every interaction I had was a total embarrassment and I couldn't do anything right.
