Oh God, I've been gaming for about as long as I can remember. I grew up on the original NES. What I like most about games would have to be the competitive side and breaking down the mechanics to find the best way to play.
Because I'm a masochist. In all honesty I took the job so I can get more and different experience than I get at my actual job as a help desk for a collocation company. In IT the main thing that matters are Certs and experience, and I can only break my computer so many times messing with stuff before it's broken for good.
I make sure the back end of the game servers work, basically once the servers are online and running my job is done.
We have a forum? in all honesty it's a forum, I don't really spend much time on it besides lurking and checking the PArc section, maybe some users could give me some recommendations on the other sections.
Besides Zeus and a few of the MC staff I don't even know who's on the team, I know Short is the MC Sysadmin for PArcMC but if you ask me what they do I couldn't tell you.
Video Games, Spending time with my furbaby Meesha, breaking/upgrading/tinkering with my PC, reading stories on FimFiction, The usual.
from my failed engagement I've learned that controlling wives is just an illusion, you can just lightly hint at what they should be doing and make a sacrifice to the dark god of your choice in hopes they actually do what you want.
at PArc? Nothing really, the most painful was figuring out the update procedure for the Terarria server since the other games are updated via a script and Terarria you have to do via a 3rd party website but that's nothing really.
My actual job, replacing a server at one of our major cloud sites following a server crash, 4 hours of spinning up VMs on our back up server and a 2 hour drive to bring a replacement server to the site after working all night.
