  1. I don't know how that works. I have cards typed in Word. I play testd it once and it needs work. But I can't figure out how to set the pay out per round.

Huh, well I'm not sure how I could play test it if it's in Word. My printer has been busted for a long time, so I couldn't actually print out the cards. :\

  2. $80 is the msrp as far as I know. I didn't know it was a later edition. I got mine a year ago, along with the expansion.

I have a design for a card game and I need someone to play test it with.

Was that the price? I was almost certain that there was a time when I was looking at it online while it was around $60-70 and I was like "Well I'm tempted, but right now I gotta hold onto my money," and now that I've waited it's OOP and going for $80-90.

A card game design, you say? Is this something that perchance could be played via tabletop simulator?

    Does Hearthstone count?

While that's not a physical game (all online, right?), I'd say it qualifies. :)

  3. That is my favorite non dungeon crawler game. I like Heroquest, Descent, and old D&D (which is not a board game but my favorite). I used to play board games every week. I only own a few, the ones I really like.

Robinson Crusoe's an amazing game, but it's been out of print for some time so I've been having trouble finding a copy (you can get it on ebay but it's going for $80 and up). There's supposedly going to be a fourth edition hitting the shelves this September, and I'm really looking forward to it.

  4. Berserk from Doom is great, and extra fun if you're playing with Brutal Doom (rip and tear!); also it's super fun in Doom (4) as well. While it's not a part of the original game, spread in the Skulltag and Zandronum source ports is awesome. Nothing quite like getting the automatic BFG 10k and spread at the same time and nuking the whole map; usually causes players to disconnect from the server, lol.

  5. I think there's still a lot of potential left for the show, but I will say that most of the episodes so far I've found to be either mediocre or downright bad; I've sorta started skipping episodes, and I am somewhat discontented the amount of Rarity-focused episodes as @@Crazyaboutpegasi mentioned.

It also stands out to me that season six was supposedly going to be about 'exploring Equestria', but so far it's been pretty much nothing but locales we've already seen.

  6. I play the Pokemon TCG and plan to become a Gym Leader in my town soon. (I take it kind of seriously unless the other person is just playing for fun.)

As for board games, I'll play Monopoly, Talisman, Battleship, and Hero Quest once in a blue moon. Yeah I'm kinda boring when it comes to this stuff xP

Nothing boring about Battleship (if you ask me). :P

  7. My family has and plays tons of board games: common or obscure, simple or complicated, short or long, we've got it all. Well I guess not all, we're not really into CCGs though I've played some Magic the Gathering and the rest of my family isn't into RPGs so I never really have a chance to play any of those anymore.

I do have Tabletop Simulator though. I don't get on it a ton but I do have it.

    I absolutely love boardgames!

They are really great. :) Unfortunately lots of them require at least one other person to play with, and that's not something I always have.

  8. I've been pretty 'meh' about episodes recently. I started losing interest in season 5 but I still watched it.

While I have still been watching season six, I'm getting to the point where I almost don't care if there's a new episode out or not; if I watch it I watch it, and if I don't then I don't. Let's just say certain episodes have besmirched my faith in the show and have made me hesitant to continue watching, even to the point where I've gone through and made a list of all the show-writers I consider to be good and bad -- so when a new episode comes out I can know what to expect. Sometimes there's new writers on-board, and I'm usually willing to give those ones the benefit of the doubt. For example, I think Michael Vogel did a great job with A Hearth's Warming Tail (even though the plot is a copypasta).

Don't think I'll ever stop being a brony, but I'm certainly feeling very ambivalent about the show these days.

  9. Yeah, I remember having a hard time in inferno as a kid, hell, I the farthest I've went was the third level once, and I don;t even know how I've reached there as the previous was insanely hard for me back then  :dash: . Why, you know, the usual, not good with labyrinths, and frequent hangouts with lost souls and Mr Cacos, the usual

Unpopular opinion: I prefer the scary and atmospheric soundtrack of the PS1 version over the original. OK OK people, no need to linch me  like that, make a straight and orderly line and start kicking my ass one by one

I think both soundtracks are great! PSX Doom has one of the best horror soundtracks in any game ever, if you ask me. :)

  10. It was decent, but the one thing that I really felt like they needed was to have RD's goggles land on Scootaloo when she got flung out of the tree, lol. Could've been some interesting foreshadowing.

  11. Check out the reverse sleeve for DOOM: doom_option_b.jpg

Should have been the front cover, if you ask me. If I walked into a store and saw that my eyes would be drawn to it since it's vivid and interesting-looking, and I'd get up close and see all the awesome stuff going on and be like "That dude is a badass; want to be a badass!" and buy it. Standard DOOM cover just looks like a boring, generic shooter.

(Going to buy game regardless of cover anyways since hey, it's Doom)

  12.

    Lyrics:

He looks at me like I'm not worth a damn,
thinks to himself I should be another man.
    Well sorry son, that's not the way it goes;
they've fastened these fetters from my head down to my toes.

And time molds the clay irreversibly,
an effigy was unveiled of the face of me.

I love you no matter what they say.
If you're buried in darkness you'll find the light of day.
So come closer my dear, for I see no other way.
For everything that's been done, I guess you might say:
    It's irreversible.
  13. No, because there's more types of platformer games than Mario-style platformers -- take games like Metroid, Castlevania, or Heart of Darkness, for example. They are platformers, but all unique. Just because people can easily make Mario levels doesn't mean it's going to kill platforming. Doom Builder didn't kill all first person shooters, nor did Timesplitters 2.

  14. I don't have any 'best' fanfic, but I do have a bunch that I love. These are all from my favorites on fimfiction.net, and the descriptions are taken from the stories themselves.

    The Haunting in Ponyville: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/54666/the-haunting-in-ponyville

"There's something strange and unnatural living in Bon-Bon's house.

    Something other than Lyra."

    Love Transcends: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/316025/love-transcends

"Celestia has been waiting for this night her entire life; Twilight Sparkle has been destined to come for years upon decades upon centuries. But she didn't know to expect her student like this.

She steels herself anyway. She pours some tea, and welcomes Twilight with open hooves.

Then the two of them have a talk.

    Synchronicity: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/17901/synchronicity

While at a slumber party telling spooky stories, Twilight learns of one story that is supposedly true, and just has to investigate...

    Irony of Applejack: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/78117/the-irony-of-applejack

"For most of Applejack's life, she didn't know what she was. True, she understood who she was well enough. But ponies don't change shapes, nor do they get strength from love.

Applejack never thought too hard on it... until the events of a certain wedding brought about some harsh realizations.

Now, with Equestria still reeling from the surprise attack, will Applejack manage to come to terms with what she is? Will she even be able to keep her secret safe?

For if the royal guards don't get her first, the conspirators in the shadows just might..."

Quiet Boy and Moon Horse: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/313332/quiet-boy-and-moon-horse

"There once was a story about the beautiful dark alicorn who moved the moon.  In the tranquil countryside, a young boy listened to the story, looked at the stars, and imagined.  He grew up and fell in love with the ruler of the night … and she loved him, too.

It was perfect, except for one nagging doubt in the back of the quiet boy's head: she was a character from a children's story."

Out of all of those, Irony of Applejack is the longest and the one I've invested the most time into; I've even read it twice! But the rest are definitely worthwhile (in my opinion). I hope you enjoy them. :)

  15. There is one problem with this theory that you're proposing. As Neil deGrasse Tyson puts it: "If Earth stopped rotating, everyone not bolted to the ground would fall over and roll due east at the speed of a jetplane." So! During that episode when Twilight was struggling with 'turning the planet', everyone should have been flung around (herself included) and promptly killed, especially considering the erratic and rapid movement of the sun during that sequence.

It's a good theory, but it just boils down to 'is a cartoon; IRL physics not applicable'
