  1. Pallid smirked, the shadow of contempt upon his face. "Of course; no fighting," he said, feigning a pout. He grinned as he watched the trio turn and leave.

Sprightly followed Mist into the shade of the towering trees, Hidden beside her as they walked deeper into the forest.

  2. One game I didn't play in my youth but was popular at the time was Super Metroid. I went ahead and played it recently, and I definitely see why so many people love that game, but I have a hard time continuing as I'm always getting frustrated with it -- feeling like a rat in a maze and not knowing where I'm supposed to go -- just constantly retreading the same areas and the incessant feeling of being stuck. While I did get kinda far in that game, I really wasn't feeling it enough to continue. I just can't help but wonder if, had I played it during my youth, would I be more ecstatic about the game today? I mean, I'm sure tons of people out there think that Doom is a frustrating maze, heh. Even get frustrated with Doom sometimes.

  3. If you haven't already, you should get Zdeamon software, and join us for some competitive, and cooperative, online doom gameplay.

I actually do have Zdaemon, but when it comes to multiplayer I stick to Zandronum. When I desire the experience I had in 1997 I play using Chocolate Doom; even the multiplayer setup brings back memories as you have to go through the DOS menu.

  4. Started playing Doom when I was six, never stopped due to the sheer awesomeness of it. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is also another one from my youth that I still love to play, but I can only redo that game every once in a while. The reason Doom is so replayable is because of all the custom maps and mods (though I always find myself replaying Knee Deep in the Dead for the most part).

She smiled and returned the shake. "Oh yes, I'm sure it would be wonderful to have pegasi mingle with the earth ponies," she said with a light nod. "There's so many ways we could help each-other out!" Sprightly looked around, smiling at the other ponies. "Hidden, would you like to go with Mist and look for food together? I'm thinking of joining him, myself."

  6. That was awesome, I actually like these 2d models better than the 3d ones(I love traditional animation). Looks like it could use some work for the pony one, but it looked cool regardless. The anime was pretty well done though, kinda thinking on picking this up now, could probably make some cool stuff with it. Thanks for the video, when you were trying to frown that gave me a bit of a laugh too.

Just note that the 2d module is an additional $4. The pony one definitely needs some work, but I'm not 100% sure on how one would use the editor. They seem to be holding back some features behind an additional purchase of $255 for the PRO version of the Cubism editor, so know that if you use the free editor you'll be limited in some ways. http://www.live2d.com/en/download/comparison After that, actually creating and importing a model seems to be somewhat of a complex process.

I might tinker with the free version of the editor to see what I can accomplish at some point, but since I can only have one texture per model, I'm thinking I might be fairly limited. Honestly, $255 for something like this is a bit through the roof if you ask me, lol.

  7. Ok, good. So, how did it go? Did you get a good recording? Is the model 2d or 3d? And I have to ask... can you customize the character's mane, colour, and eye colour?

    @

It went all right. :) The recording is okay, but not the best as I did it just after I woke up so I'm a bit mumble-y. The model is 2d but it replicates 3d movement; I imagine it's comprised up of several 2d layers. I didn't see any way to customize it, but the 2d module (which is a separate purchase from base Facerig, I should mention) allows a user to create their own avatars so I imagine with some work you could create a decent pony of your own. Sadly this avatar doesn't work unless you have the 2d module.

  8. Looks neat, wish there was some video however. I don't have the cash nor the justification to buy this until characters I want are introduced(Or at least models of similar characters).

Tell you what, the last time I tried to hook up my camera things didn't go so well, but considering I can get it operational I'll record a video of this in action for you. :)

  9. I've been a furry for fourteen years, and while I've met a lot of awesome people I've also met a lot of bad ones. I've met enough weirdos that these days I shy away from it. Thing is, the people that are really messed up and strange are a minority -- but they're such a loud minority that they can tarnish the rest of the fandom. Just know that, like any fandom, it has good apples and bad apples. :)

  10. The crissaegrim in Symphony of the Night is the most balance-breaking weapon I know of; once you get it, you can mow down pretty much everything in your path. It's so OP that lots of people consider using it as cheating.

In this video you can see this dude using it to take out high-level bosses in a couple of hits.

While it is pretty cheap, it's still hella fun to use, haha.

  11. I was set up with Steam back in 2007, and the guy who helped me get set up also got me some sort of 'Valve starter pack' that had a bunch of games such as Ricochet, the original Half-Life, Team Fortress Classic and Counter-Strike 1.6. I didn't touch most of them, but I did play the mess out of CS 1.6. Naturally, Counter-Strike Source was one of the first games I got, and Garry's Mod as well.

"My sincerest apologies," Pallid said, forcing a smirk.

Sprightly blinked, then smiled softly. "I'm Sprightly," she said, holding out a hoof. "And it's very nice down here, though I can imagine it would be strange for a pegasus who's not used to it. Really though, it's quite beautiful on the ground -- especially beneath the trees when the sun is shining in autumn."

"I said that Mist can be recon if there are any objections. There doesn't seem to be, so Hidden is fine; at least they aren't jumping to conclusions." He matched her glare, gritting his teeth slightly.

Juniper remained quiet, watching the rest of the group. It was fortunate that nopony was paying her any mind, because right now her biggest objective was staying out of everypony's way. Chipper as she was, she didn't want to be in the middle of a heated argument.

Pallid curled his lip up in disgust. "Our kind do not consume meat," he said, stepping away from the bird's cadaver. "I think one of the pegasi should be reconnaissance; they have the advantage of flight and can espy what's ahead before we get there. If there are any objections to that, then I nominate Mist."
