  1. Thanks for the tip but I've left more than one Skype group due to raunchiness. That's why I usually play on the safe server in Pony Town. Guess I'm just getting prudish.
  2. Just wondering if anyone else here has an account on Pony Town. I've started hanging out recently but haven't really met anyone yet. My user name on the site is the same one I use on here so if you see me around, chat me up. https://pony.town/
  3. The servers are stable now and, out of morbid curiosity, I registered an account. Seems like a lot of Undertale and/or Homestuck fans hanging out and RPing most of the time so I never hang around for more than a minute or two. Has anyone else from the forum given Ponytown a try yet? @@Time Shield is the only person I have recognized so far. I pop up randomly once or twice a week using the same username I have on this site. If anyone happens to see me, feel free to say hello.
  4. I agree that seeing his broken horn being thrown into the air after his defeat probably alludes to the fact that Sombra "could" still be alive but I doubt we'll be seeing him again in the future.
  5. Same here. In the Crystal Empire episodes we saw both Twilight and Celestia casting the same dark magic as King Sombra. I would imagine it could just as easily corrupt them if they continued to use it.
  6. I doubt we'll get more than veiled implications regarding the fates of Applejack's parents. But I'd really like to see what they looked like, maybe a flashback or even just a picture of them in one of Granny Smith's photo albums. They deserve that much at least.
  7. MLP will never be as widespread as Star Wars, Star Trek or Doctor Who but it will never truly die out either. We've made our mark in present-day culture and, although its not as grand as those made by media juggernauts, I think it's something we can be proud to have been a part of.
  8. Judging from what we've seen from Twilight and Doctor Whooves, I'd say that advanced technology and science exists in Equestria but it isn't as prevalent or widespread as magic is.
  9. I agree that, as a villain, Starlight was amazing. I really like her manipulative style and crafty way of doing things. I think she would have been better served remaining a recurring nemesis for Twilight. But, as a sucker for happy endings, I can't complain with the way things turned out. Starlight Glimmer deserves to be happy more than MLP needs another villain so I'm satisfied with her reformation.
  10. A lot happened to Starlight in the time between the premier and the finale. She saw her dream shattered and lost all of her friends, she was alone and consumed by her hatred for Twilight and ultimately I think that hatred was what kept her going. Starlight had lost everything and needed something to focus on and prop her up. Her revenge against Twilight filled that void. But when she'd finally achieved her victory, I think that Starlight realized that the void in her heart wasn't filled. Making Twilight as miserable as she'd become was an empty win. It didn't make her happy or bring her satisfaction. Maybe that's what changed her and made her finally listen to what Twilight had to say about friendship. It would have boiled down to a simple decision at that point; hold onto her hatred and continue to be alone or take a chance and hope for something better.
  11. Well, first I would introduce myself as the Emperor of the Earth and then boop her nose. Twilight probably wouldn't appreciate being booped so I'd act offended and accuse her of besmirching my people's traditional greeting and insulting us. Then, when she tried to apologize, I'd threaten to declare war unless she allowed me to negotiate with her superiors. Then I'd follow her back to Equestria and meet Princess Celestia. Then I'd boop her nose too.
  12. For good or for ill, the background characters have years of fanmade content to prop them up whereas Flash does not.
  13. Here's a fun possibility: Since Sunset Shimmer (the pony) has become central to the EQG series, what if the human version of her accidentally gets pulled into Equestria and joined the Mane 6 as a semi-permanent member of the cast. Having a clueless human-turned-pony version of SS around sounds like an interesting development and a potential comedy goldmine.
  14. It'd be a tough call. I really like both of them. But, in the end, I'd have to pick Luna because I've always preferred working the night shift.
  15. @@Broken Gear I'm still willing to share my Fate-based material if you end up wanting to create your own game. None of it has been committed to text yet though but I could write up a skill set and a rough outline of the custom rules.
  16. I'm hoping that Sweetie Belle will realize that she too wants to be a singer. Maybe then her Cutie Mark will start to make sense.
  17. I like art involving the official characters more than OCs. Cute pony pics are good but I really enjoy anthro and EQG artwork more.
  18. Oh, drats. I've been looking for an online tabletop group to join but haven't had any luck finding a good MLP-based one.
  19. Maybe some kind of trainer shows up and Fluttershy's animals start ignoring her to spend time with him. She gets jealous but learns to cope with it and let the animals make a new friend. But in the end, Fluttershy finds out that her animals are under the influence of some kind of charming magic/potion and the trainer is planning to abduct the animals and sell them to a pet shop in Manehattan. So Flutters and maybe another pony co-star (Pinkie Pie would be my choice) have to run the trainer off and cure the animals of whatever he did to them. Not sure what kind of lesson Fluttershy would learn from this though. Maybe something like not to view others with jealousy but not to blindly trust someone you don't know just because they seem friendly.
  20. I'm not familiar with Pathfinder but my former gaming group stated that, being experienced with 4E, Pathfinder wouldn't be difficult to figure out. Do you agree with their assessment? Also, how do you play your games out? We used to create maps with Maptools, upload them to Roll20 and then communicate via Skype. Do you do anything similar?
  21. Maybe Starswirl was unhappy and wanted to exchange his destiny with a pony who had a happier one. Or maybe he was just planning to pull an epic prank on Celestia & Luna. But seriously, in the original draft of season 3's finale, there was no spell. Celestia gave Twilight a magic "Pandora's Box" for her to figure out how to open rather than a spellbook. It was later changed to Starswirl's book, probably just as a tie-in to a pre-existing character.
  22. Yes, actually. But I'm not entirely unsatisfied with the way things turned out at the end of CotLM. I'd have wanted the Cutie Mark Crusaders receiving their individual marks during episodes full of self-discovery and learn an important life lesson as a result. And during one of those episodes they'd have also needed to make some sort of promise that they'd remain together as friends even after they'd all gotten their cutie marks. I'm not sure how well the writers would have been able to pull that off though and I doubt it would have had the same impact as Crusaders of the Lost Mark. Hence I felt that the episode wasn't a total disappointment.
  23. I actually like Wind Rider as a villain because he's a dude though. For one thing, being an older male, it makes it a little harder for the Mane 6 to relate to him, them being young females after all. It's not like any of them will be able to guilt-trip him into admitting that he was wrong and apologize for what he did. Wind Rider seems like he'd be too stubborn and prideful for that. And that would make him one of the few villains they've encountered who wouldn't reform. I can see Lightning Dust playing along with Wind Rider and then realizing that sh'e been wrong and then turn against him. But I doubt WR would recant even after losing his partner-in-crime. He'd probably just fly off, yelling that the Mane 6 hadn't seen the last of him or some other equally cliche villain speech while LD weeps and indulges in a group hug with Rainbow Dash and her friends.
