  1. I think the brushables are cute, but I'm a girl. Well, I should say ... I think the winged horses and earth ponies are cute. I don't like the unicorns' eyes, and their horns are too short and phallic. And they all look like some kind of deer-horse hybrids, but they're still cute. I prefer the tiny blind bag horses, but stopped buying them because I don't need 25 different color versions of the same rearing Apple Jack sculpt, ya know? I'm SO GLAD they've started to add more sculpts to that line, because they're adorable. Now they need to re-do the sculpts for the Mane Six and I'll be happy. I really loved the tiny version of Zecora that came in the 3-pack (in the blind bag size). She was beautifully done.
  2. I buy the toys (brushables, mini blind bag figures) because I like toys anyway. Always have. I don't buy the shirts, although I probably would have when I was a teenager.
  3. This made me laugh. LOL. I wouldn't care if they called her "Fred" instead of Derpy. She'll still be Derpy to me. She's an interesting, charming character and I'd love to see Derpy toys in stores. Um, I mean, Fred toys.
  4. Most bronies seem to be kind-hearted, creative and intelligent people. Oh, and fun, too. ... I love an adult who's not afraid to be silly and watch cartoons. I do it, myself. LOL. Actually, my whole family watches cartoons, including mom, dad and brother. I think it's in the blood, or something.
  5. Of course that's what they did. They probably went to Bronycon LOOKING for the cloppers, and could only find three. If they'd found more than three, they would have put them on the air, too. Then when they couldn't find any more cloppers, they used interviews from people who fit the "depressed loner sitting in his mom's basement" stereotype.
  6. Cloppers make the rest of us look like seriously disturbed perverts to outsiders who don't understand the fandom. After the Howard Stern broadcast, I'd be ashamed to call myself a brony anywhere but on these forums. I wasn't before, but now I am. I'm a very open-minded person, too ... I believe gay marriage should be legal everywhere, for one. I also believe people should be allowed to do whatever the hell they want to as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. I get mad, though, when I can't mention the name "My Little Pony" without people associating it with a very weird version of porn. (And it's weird in a bad way, not a good way. ... Normally I like weird things.) That's not fair to the rest of us who just like an intelligently-written, charming cartoon, who don't want to associate the cartoon with anything sexual. At first I was indifferent to cloppers because they weren't bothering me personally, and it was their business. But they make it everyone else's business when they talk about "sweet pony ass" into a microphone to a member of the media, and make ME look like a fool for also calling myself a brony. *Shudder*
  7. Now we know why Derpy's eyes are like that. LOL! Nicely done video, though.
  8. I laughed like crazy when I read this. LOL! I'm a Rainbow Dash fan, but here is why: She is brave, loyal to her friends, and quite heroic. She's saved people's (ponies') lives. Yes, she has character flaws like arrogance, but her good traits more than make up for it. If she were human she'd probably have a job saving lives in some capacity ... like being a firefighter or policeman (policemare? LOL) perhaps.
  9. I see Rainbow a lot, but I see Pinkie Pie even more. She's everywhere.
  10. By the way, you guys realize that cronies from news organizations, comedians and radio hosts are reading this right now to get material for their shows, right? I'm sure they can find enough in this one thread alone to make us all look like total derptards.
  11. I hate cloppers now. I was actually indifferent to them until the Howard Stern broadcast (what other people do is not my business), but after hearing three of them talking about it to a member of the media, my indifference has turned to disgust. They're making us ... the entire fandom ... look like perverts. Of course, I realize Stern was cherry-picking the weirdest from among us to broadcast on his show. I still can't believe the jerks said what they did with a microphone in their faces. But because of guys like those three, now people will spew more hate at the fandom. Ten times more hate. Thanks a lot, you three cloppers. Thanks a LOT!
  12. Sounds like a good idea. Sometimes the best defense is to make the other person feel foolish for even remarking on it. LOL.
  13. This one is SO BAD. I couldn't bring myself to buy one even when I saw it had gone on sale at my store. My four-year-old who loves My Little Pony didn't even want it!!!! And she usually wants every stuffed animal under the sun!
  14. If they're cheap enough, I'm tempted to buy them just so I can tear out those horrid manes/tails and give them custom manes and tails. That would vastly improve them, right there. The heads are still off, but they're (just barely) OK.
  15. I bought the set of three. Haven't gotten a shipping notice yet. I'm sure I overpaid, but I really wanted to make sure I got them. They're awesome! I particularly love the griffon and the wonderbolts pony.
  16. Someone who was at Comic Con trying to get a Derpy said that Derpy and Zecora were selling out within 30 minutes of each time they went on sale. (Apparently, they were put out for sale, sold out, then later in the day Hasbro put more out for sale again, from what I understood. ... People had to get "time vouchers" and stand in line at the times they were allotted.) It's possible they were completely sold out of Derpy at the convention. If so, though, then Hasbro needs to put a notice on their web site and not just leave us hanging, eh? I tried to get a Derpy from an Asian source, and never did get a shipping notice. I don't know whether it was a knock-off Derpy or what. It looks like they just took my money and ran, though, because it's been a couple weeks and no shipping notice yet. Sigh. It seemed to be a legitimate web site, though. They didn't SEEM to be scammers. Cough-cough. At least it was only $23 (for two Derpys). It was this web site, supposedly a shopping service for Taobao: https://buyfromtaobao.com/
  17. It's just another good cartoon for me. Not life-changing. I like it about as much as I like Invader Zim. I'm not obsessed with either cartoon, but it's a pleasure for me to watch re-runs of episodes. Personally, I found it horrifically embarrassing that Howard Stern's crony found three people who openly admitting to "clopping." (They admitted this to a member of the media? AAAAHHHH!!!!!) *Shudder* It almost made me not want to call myself a Brony/Pegasister any more. (I'm female.) I'm sure the Stern crony also found a lot of people who don't clop and think clopping is weird, but of course they aren't going to mention them in a radio broadcast because THOSE PEOPLE are not interesting.
  18. I think I must have wrote the above post in my sleep and not realized it. LOL! I think it looks lazy, too. I've seen some INCREDIBLE plushies of cartoon characters that were spot-on ... Scooby Doo, the Penguins of Madagascar and lots of others. I can sew, myself, and really don't understand why it's so difficult to get a good pony plushie. One that's actually good and that looks exactly like the cartoons would be just as cheap to produce as a badly-designed one. Hasbro needs to fire whatever factory is designing these horrible plushies. This is a FACTORY MADE, mass-produced Scooby Doo. If they can get this kind of quality from a factory, then surely Hasbro should be able to. Maybe the factory Hasbro is using just sucks.
  19. Wow, that's crazy. LOL. I can see that happening, though. My own MOTHER accidentally walked out with store merchandise once without paying. I was with her, and we started talking, and it distracted her. She actually walked out with something in her cart that she hadn't paid for (although she'd paid for everything else, and the cashier didn't see the extra item in the cart). My mother is extremely honest and has never stolen anything in her life, so it was completely an accident. I think it was something weird like bananas or something. She shoplifted bananas! Hee hee. It's a department store in the United States. Their web site is target.com.
  20. That doesn't mean it's a joke. It means they don't want their servers to crash with 4,000 people all trying to pay for their Derpys all at once. They kind of HAVE to space it out throughout the day.
  21. That's really awful, and totally NOT cool. Those creepers sounded like they needed their butts kicked. I guess they can't get girlfriends in real life, so their only chance of touching a boob is to grope random girls. (Not to mention you could have had them arrested for sexual assault if you'd wanted to. ...)
  22. I remember once comic book artist Donna Barr did a comic book series about a centaur. I thought the comics were quite good, but I'm not sure they were ever popular. I think it's just because people don't like centaurs very much. I do, but I'm weird that way. LOL. I don't remember the name of the series, but she did another comic book series about a gay soldier called "The Desert Peach" that was really clever and funny. EDIT: I just looked it up. The comic book series about the centaurs was called "Stinz." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donna_Barr
  23. I like both equally, but I wish Hasbro would make nonbrushables (like the blind bag ponies) in the same size as the brushable ponies. If they did that and made them look like they do in the show, I'm sure they'd sell like crazy despite not having "real" hair. I like the brushables just fine, but boy, their hair gets tangled and horrible looking really fast! I pretty much just comb mine until they look good, then sit them up on a shelf and don't touch them. My four-year-old daughter plays with her ponies (she has more than I do), and of course the hair always looks like a total rat's nest because she won't comb them. LOL.
  24. My mom loves cartoons, but only if they're animated Disney/Pixar movies. If it's a half-hour show, she loses interest. Yet, she'll see every Disney/Pixar release that comes out. LOL. She has zero interest in My Little Pony. The funny thing is, I suspect that if my dad were still alive, he'd probably like MLP. He used to watch all kinds of fun/silly things. He even watched The Powerpuff Girls! He was the type who loved Star Trek and Star Wars as well as animated movies and shows. Gah, I miss him.
  25. I want Nightmare Moon, Trixie and the pink pony with the green mane/tail. I sort of want the DJ Pon one, too (is that her name?). I really, really don't want yet another Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. I suppose I could use them to make customs, though. I'm sure I'll be getting this set in a couple of months, but I don't want to pre-order it. I can't stand pre-ordering stuff.
