Thee was plenty SciTwi coud have done. Right from the start. I can't fathom why it seems to elude people.

 

1: Even before Sunset scared her off, SciTi was doing investigation into the energy. Probably for months. She made the "logical" decision to investigate it, very likely knowing, had she researched the energy that it was unlike anything on earth. As "smart" as he was, she would've researched and wouldnt have needed to build something that read the energy, if it had been. She made the "logical" choice to build a contraption that her "genius" mind had no idea how to use or turn off.

 

And when Sunset did come into the picture, SciTwi had every right to be yelled at. Her lack of foresight, and building shit she couldn't figure out, could've cost lives. Scared or not, SciTwi's apology meant shit. She knew she put lives in danger, during the race. She saw it all happen. You don't just run off, and not take responsibility for it. Would forgiveness be offerred to a hit and run driver, just because they were scared and fled the scene? Because that's exactly what SciTwi did.

 

2: and? You say she didn't know Sunset nd friends, but she didn't know the kids from her school, either, because she never got to know them. And yet, she allowed herself to be manipulated by the people from her side, who she didn't know, and have never acknowledged her until she got her hands on magic. And she allowed it, for her own selfish pursuit of her future interest, unconcerned with the lives at risk. Even after Sunset told her, once, that she put lives in danger.

And you are being too harsh...

1) SciTwi is a recluse in High School.  I don't know if you've been there, but I have.  When you're left to your own thoughts like that you tend to make stuff without realizing what your making.  Back in high school I was an amateur scientist in my garage and I constantly made things without fully understanding what they were.  Beyond that scientists never have a full understanding when they first come up with something.  When Einstein discovered that his theories had been used to develop an atomic bomb he was saddened by that development, Oppenheimer, another who helped develop the bomb was disgusted with it.  To blame SciTwi for something she built based on theory and minor scan of an energy source that she didn't fully understand or could control is more than a little harsh.

2) Speaking as someone with Social Anxiety Disorder, SciTwi obviously has some sort of social anxiety, look at the way she reacts when people other than her brother or Dean Cadance talk to her.  She is awkward stumbling over her own words and exceedingly shy.  It's probably one of the reasons she wants the independent study program, she doesn't know how to interact with others,  Not to mention when she starts meeting people who are genuinely kind to her other than the two stated previously, she inadvertently harms them and is visibly shaken by that.  That would be enough to send someone with Social Anxiety into a downward spiral.

3) Sunset berating SciTwi, who by the way probably has Social Anxiety was already visibly shaken by what she had done and wanted to apologize, like that would not have helped.  In fact it would have made her even more susceptible to manipulation by people like Principle Cinch and the students from Crystal Prep.  Especially with Cinch also having been manipulating her this entire time, she would've been like putty.

4) Yes she should've talked to someone about this when she couldn't control the device, but who did she know that had any knowledge about what was going?  Maybe Cadance was someone she could talk too, but that wouldn't really help as Cadance had no knowledge of the strange energy.  Sunset Shimmer was her best shot, but Sunset was too angry at herself and lashing out at her to take the time to truly help.

5) Yes she put lives in danger... so did Twilight in both previous Equestria Girls movies.  And that one actually knows how to deal with people, while SciTwi as I stated before, more than likely has a Social Anxiety disorder.

Well, I think it could have some crossover episodes, featuring pony Twi or Pinks, but a whole series is more unlikely, unless FiM skips a whole season 

Why would FiM have to skip a whole season... so far the movies have taken place approximately at the same time as the corresponding seasons, I don't know about Season 5/Friendship Games timeline as I'm still catching up on Season 5, (Just watched Slice of Life last night) on Netflix since I don't get DFC.  But Equestria Girls took place between Magical Mystery Cure and Princess Twilight Sparkle while Rainbow Rocks took place after Twilight's Kingdom.  I'm assuming that Friendship Games takes place similarly after or during Season 5. 

With the fact that everything between "Best Night Ever" and "Make New Friends but Keep Discord" was over the course of a single year it would be simple to have a small time skip at Canterlot High and have the two shows run concurrently.  A small time skip would also allow them to have stuff that happened between the movies and the start of a prospective series to keep a bit of mystery and intrigue about the characters and how the develop.  But as I said before it would require a skilled writer to do so rather well.

Also personally I'd like to see Discord show up at Canterlot High.

With the right writers and a decent story setup it would be interesting to have Equestria Girls get a spinoff.  It would allow for more world building and we could see how the two worlds are different, especially now with magic in a world that previously had none.  It could make for interesting plots.  Especially now that Human Twilight has been introduced, yet Human Sunset still hasn't... hmm.

Personally I would think they should think about making an interconnected Spin-Off allowing the two shows to crossover when needed or necessary a la Buffy-Angel in the early 2000's or Arrow-Flash currently.  Having a story start in MLP or EG and then crossing over into the other one to see both sides play off each other would be nice.

Something like this perhaps? I wasn't exactly sure what to do with the CM because

trying to add so much will often just end with something messy. Instead I picked a harp

from your list, and also because it has more of a class feel I suppose? Much like prefering

to write on paper or a type writer. Then I added the little blue music notes as a reference

to singing/playing/acting a combo of life on the stage I suppose. I am not too good with 'abstract' CMs

First off I hope you don't take this the wrong way... I really think that it's a good drawing but it's not exactly what I imagined.  Its just to dull to fit me as I prefer things bright and vivid, I kinda wanted the hair similar to mine which is red and brown streaked.  While I do like the design of the cutie mark, I just feel it doesn't fully represents me... while I am a musician and do love the harp I consider myself a writer and an actress first.  Plus I think the ears are a little too big.

I still really love the drawing.  I think it looks elegant.

I read fanfiction... tend to enjoy it as I believe everything is canon to itself, so in my mind each fanfiction takes place in its own universe separate from the universe it is based on allowing me to enjoy it no matter how radically different.  I also write fanfiction, though not as often as I used to.  I used to write a series of what if fanfiction based on ideas people sent me, and sometimes even paid me for.  I just don't have as much time as I used to.

For me it's just a small little local metal cover band called K Sydney.  They were all kinda nerdy, but great people with near spot on covers of classic and new metal.  It may seem kinda weird that all I'd like to see is a local band get back together... but yeah sometimes it's the little things.

Any Good Horror Game... I love playing horror games, but I tend to freak out a bit when I play them and never get to finish as I get too scared.

As a child in the early late eighties early nineties, making myself feel old, I played many Konami games.  In fact some of my fondest memories are from Konami games, such as me and my brother taking turns trying to beat the original TMNT game on the NES, me and my friends playing Turtles in Time at the arcade, playing Frogger, Contra, or Gradius for fun and failing at them miserably, exploring the massive locations in Castlevania (I prefer Alucard and Soma over any of the Belmonts), failing at stealth in Metal Gear Solid (I got better around MGS2), having a good laugh playing Goemon, and more recently (about a decade ago) having my best friend introduce me to one of my favorite RPGs Suikoden 3.

Even though Konami isn't leaving the game market... the heart there used to be in the games seems to be fading.  The last few Castlevania games were really shallow, I don't think there have been any Frogger, Contra, Gradius, Suikoden, or Goemon games in a long while, and ever since they bought Hudson Soft Bomberman has been left to gather dust.  Not to mention the cancelling of Silent Hills.  Yet before one company made terrible decisions as well, and nearly seemed to be leaving the market, but in the past two or so years Capcom has begun to rise up again, and I can only hope that Konami does the same.

This is not something I could answer without going into a rather lengthy discussion as I love many anime and manga with numerous series I could consider my favorites...

This goes back to the 90's when I was still a kid, but it was one of the most shocking moments in gaming to me...  however despite the game being over 20 years old I still feel I should put this in spoiler as it is one of the best moments to me.

To be honest my eyes kinda rest between really Pale Blue and Light Gray, creating a kind of silver-colored effect on occasion when in  the right lighting.

Ok few things, no problem I can do this, but need to get a few things straight, you have a great character description, but is more on the internal side, I need a few more external details such as mane color, style, body color, etc

The mane color should be red with bits of brown, as for style I don't know what it's called but medium-long wavy, but not curly hair with bangs that slightly cover one eye.  As for the body color I was thinking a light brown with tannish speckles on the body.  The tail should be short like a deer's tail and be brown and white like the body.

I’m new to the fandom and was kinda hoping someone would be willing to draw the OC I thought up for myself.  As one of the things that got me into the fandom more was watching online personalities like Silver Quill and Dr. Wolf and I began to think that maybe my OC doesn’t have to be a pony per se.  So I got to thinking to decide what could represent me.

And then I thought of it.  Y’see I’m part Onöndowága and Kahniakenhaka and I wanted a bit of those roots in my OC without it being blatant.  So I thought of the White-Tailed Deer that are native to the Americas.  So here are a few things I thought about my OC.

1. Is a White-Tailed Deer (a Doe to be precise) rather than a normal type of Pony, having a lighter tinge than normal deer, and a speckled body.
2. I’m a writer, actor, and a musician and somehow I’d like them all represented by my cutie mark, but I have no idea what it should be.
3. I’m happy and upbeat, though also rather shy when meeting people.  I do love to give people hugs though
4. I have red and brown mixed hair with pale blue eyes bordering on greyish-silver eyes and would love to have them in my OC.
5. I’m almost six foot which is rather tall for a woman and would love this aspect of myself represented in my oc.
6. When it comes to music I can play many instruments including the Organ, Piano, Keyboard, Drums, Flute, Saxaphone, Trumpet, Clarinet, Drums, Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Harp.  When it comes to writing it is what I do with most of my time, preferring to write with old fashioned methods such as pen and paper or a typewriter.  As for acting I’m mostly a voice actor though I am also a singer… and went to John Robert Powers for a few years of training.

I know this may be a large request and I apologize for bothering anyone with this, and if nobody is interested I thank you at least for taking the time to read this.

I would like to request a sketch as well when you are done... but it would have to be from description as I don't have an image for my OC as of yet.  It remains a thought in my head.  If you have the time after you are done with your current request and don't mind a description based request, I thank you in advance.  If not I apologize for bothering you.

I'm currently rereading The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle.  It's always been one of my favorite books to go back and read.

Discord is kinda the reason I started watching Friendship is Magic.   I was babysitting a friend's kid when I heard John de Lancie's voice and decided to watch as well.  It was fun and interesting as if someone combined two of my favorite shows when I was little (Star Trek: The Next Generation and G1 My Little Pony), and I couldn't turn away.  I began watching the show myself hoping I would get to see Discord again and began to fall in love with the show.  As time went on my two favorite characters became Fluttershy and Discord, which makes any time the two of them are on screen together some of my favorite moments.

All I can say is that despite their flaws, many of which could've been fixed if Hasbro had allowed them to be even just fifteen minutes longer, I enjoyed the first two Equestria Girls movies so I'm looking forward to Friendship Games.
