  1. I really liked this episode. I'm glad that they decided to address a lot of the questions left up in the air after COTLM. Also, we got our first song of the season, and it was pretty sad actually. Seeing Applebloom feeling so alone and thinking her friends didn't want to hang out anymore was incredibly depressing. It was also pretty cool to see the CMC helping somepony find their talent. I'm definitely looking forward to more episodes about them doing that. Overall, this was a really great episode! I'd rate it 9.5/10.
  2. Too many? Why, you can never have too many facial expressions! In all seriousness though, I quite like the varied facial expressions. They make the characters less static looking, in my opinion. I mean, they looked fine before, and the animation has always been something I appreciated in this show, but to me, these expressions add even more to it's quality.
  3. Don't know if this counts, but I can never remember what "Leap of Faith" was about. I remember the name, it's just whenever that particular episode is brought up, I always have to look it up. Doesn't seem to happen with any other episodes, either.
  4. I absolutely agree that the show is headed in the right direction, not to say it wasn't good to begin with, of course. That's pretty cool that your "checklist" has been completed.
  5. I really like the competitive dynamic between Applejack and Rainbow Dash. I hope they have at least one episode pairing them up in season 6.
  6. If it's a permanent change, I'll be really happy. Having new credits music every episode would help shake things up a bit, and give the episodes even more individuality.
  7. If you mean air only on Netflix as an Original Series, then no. There are so many people who don't have Netflix, so therefore a lot less people would get to see it. We are literally 3 episodes into season 6. Most shows I know of only announce the next season toward the end of airing the current one.
  8. Wow, I think I need to sit down for a minute. That was literally mind blowing. It would certainly be interesting if that happened.
  9. I actually really liked this one. I can't say I understand why peopel think Pinkie was out of character. I mean sure, this was particularly over the top for her, but that doesn't necessarily make her out of character, in my opinion. Maud was great in this episode, with some of my highlights being "What does that spell!? It spells Maud." and her interrogation of Rarity. Seriously, don't mess with Maud. Speaking of Rarity, her impersonation of Pinkie was great! Overall, a pretty good episode. 9/10.
  10. Exactly. Hasbro has always been good at learning what works and what doesn't. G4 has been a massive success in ways they could never have imagined. They would have to be insane to not try to replicate it. While I don't think anyone can be sure that it will be good, I plan on going into G5, whenever it may happen, with an open mind, and I'm sure many other bronies will too. After all, having an open mind is what got us most of us here in the first place, right?
  11. Now mind you, I don't particularly dislike any of the season openings, but if I had to pick, I'd say Princess Twilight Sparkle. It drags a bit at times, and I really don't like the scene where the rest of the Mane 6 tell Twilight she should go home. It just doesn't seem in character for them.
  12. I liked her before the season 6 premiere, because I thought that she was a great villain, and after she was reformed, I was very optimistic about where they would taker her character. And I like her after the season 6 premiere, because, in my opinion, they did an excellent job with her character in that episode. I liked that, despite being reformed, you could tell it was the same character, in my opinion, because she still had some of the same personality traits, such as some slight anger problems (ex. When Spike suggests he helps with the lesson so that it can still happen despite Twilight being busy, and Twilight calls him a genius. To which Starlight replies, "Oh yeah, a genius." *makes angry look toward Spike*) and being manipulative (ex. Manipulating Spike into stalling her lesson by convincing him to tell the story of him saving the Crystal Empire.) Speaking of Spike, she also had very good chemistry with him in the premiere. To me, it felt very natural, and I hope we get to see them interact again. But yeah, overall, I liked her before, and I like her now.
  13. Yay, Season 6 is here! And it has a great opening two parter. Definitely not my favorite, but I still loved it. First off, I am really liking Starlight's characterization. I am glad to see that she is still somewhat awkward with the rest of the group. Also, she still seems to have a bit of those anger problems she had earlier on. I'm also really liking her interactions with Spike. Speaking of which, this is probably the best they have written him in a while. Starlight's reunion with Sunburst was pretty well done, if maybe a bit predictable. He does look good with the goatee, though. In terms of Flurry Heart, I didn't have too much of an issue with her. While I can see how some might find her OP, I would disagree. Babies with magic have already been shown to be uncontrollable, and Flurry Heart is an Alicorn. Honestly my one issue was that they didn't really explain how she is an Alicorn. Sure, they acknowledged it, but didn't really explain it. Whatever, I imagine they might explain it at some point, and even if they don't, it's not that big of an issue for me. Overall, this episode was great, and I don't really have anything to complain about, besides the aforementioned lack of explaination for Flurry Heart being an Alicorn. I'd give this episode a 9/10.
  14. Can't wait for Season 6 tomorrow!

  15. I live in the United States of Apple Horse
  16. Huh. Not too familiar with G1, so I never even thought of this. Part of me wants to watch this out of curiosity, but then I keep thinking of babies being hit on and, well, I just can't.
  17. One more day to go! I seriously can't believe it's almost here. *HYPE LEVEL INCREASES BY 100*
  18. You know, the more I think about this, the more interesting an idea it sounds. I imagine Starlight will become one of the 'mane' characters, because that seems to be direction they're taking it in, but this could still happen. Much like how, even though all of the Mane 6 are friends, some are closer than others (ex. Rainbow Dash and Applejack), Starlight could be friends with the mane 6 and Spike, but closer to Spike than with the others.
  19. Honestly, I don't really mind the theme song. Mind you, I would perfer something else, but I guess I've kinda gotten used to it, so it doesn't really bother me anymore. In terms of the visuals, I imagine they'll redo the photo shot with the CMC having their cutie marks and with Starlight added in somewhere.
  20. Every instinct I have was telling me to resist the urge to watch this. I didn't listen XD. I actually quite liked this. It seems that Starlight is somewhat awkward and anxious amongst her new friends, which is the direction I was expecting them to take her character in. It would have been somewhat lame if they had just made her completly a natural part of the group who was not at all awkward. But like I said, I was expecting this. Overall, very satisfied! Now to watch it over and over until Saturday
  21. Ah yes, it wouldn't be the Brony fandom without doom mongering. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the doom and gloom attitude some people seem to have is the one thing I don't like in this otherwise awesome fandom. No, I am not concerned about the quality of S6. The 2-Minute preview looked promising, and the synopses We have gotten for the next few episodes after the premiere sound interesting.
  22. If it were a villain, then I would probably be ok with it, provided they were evil enough to deserve it. If it was one of the secondary characters, it would depend on how well done it was. If it was well written, given the appropriate weight, and served a purpose to the story, I would probably be ok with it, but I would definitely be sad. I probably wouldn't be ok with the deaths of any of the Mane 6 though.
  23. For EQG, I'd say she counts as a "mane" character. For general purposes, not really, because she hasn't made an appearance outside the films.
  24. Just got a new rank: Parasprite! Huzzah!

  25. As of writing this, I have 99 active posts. This post will bring me up to 100 posts, which is something of a milestone, as well as a new rank, Parasprite. So I figured I would use this post to tell my story of becoming a Brony. I first found out about this fandom around 2012. A youtuber I was subscribed to had a playlist of all the episodes up to that point. The description said it was his favorite show of all time. I thought, huh, he's kidding right? My Little Pony? I eventually found out that there was an entire fandom for the show. At first I thought it a bit strange, and made fun of it a bit, but as time went on I realized that it didn't make any sense to make fun of people for watching a show. Fast forward to early last year. At this point, my stance on the fandom was "I'm not part of it, but I respect it." I was pretty bored one day, and had basically nothing to do. I decided to start watching a new show, as I do sometimes when I'm bored. After some consideration I decided "Meh, I got nothing better to do, let's see if My Little Pony is actually any good." I watched the pilot and a few more episodes that night, and I thought it was pretty good. As I watched more of season 1, I started liking it more and more, until the end of the season, by which point I officially loved the show. It was at this point I realized "Holy crap, I guess I'm a Brony!" And that's my story. Like I said, this brings me up to 100 posts, so here's to 100 more!
