    Spoilers: Legend of everfree book discussion. (THIS MEANS HEAVY SPOILERS, DUH)

    Well you can go read the book man :P its out and its pretty good.

     

    (Also, let me state that when I say "Glory" I mean "Gloriosa" I'm just shortening her name for ease of typing, in case people think I'm talking about a totally different character :P) but no, glory isn't the Human world's elements of harmony; she FOUND them; there's apparently 7 crystal pillars in a cave in the camp with a gemstone/geode on each of them. Glory and timber found the pillars, glory started messing around with the crystals, and realized they were magical, and put on 5 of them and decided to try and make the last week of camp before it closed down as memorable as possible. Timber tried to tell her that was dangerous, but she didn't listen to him, hence the two coming into conflict with each other.

    However it looks like using EOH magic without exemplifying the EOH inevitably drives you insane, as Glory's ideas of how to "help" campers during the week are flat out insane, and then she grabs the last 2 crystals and turns into that Gaia form and goes batshit insane, before the end when the crystals all float to the mane seven and form necklaces. (Which is also the explanation for why they all have magic at camp because they're in proximity to the human world EOH)

     

     

    Timber and Glory occupy a weird niche in that are technically adults since they're running the camp and making business deals, but Timber is still crushing on twilight and trying to get into a relationship with her. So they're probably like 19 or something.

    Twilight is probaly gonna forget about asking him about his phone number :P

    She doesn't exist. She's just a story that Timber made up to cover for Gloriosa using magic around camp, so that campers would jump to the conclusion that its a folklore monster causing weird things to happen, rather than connecting the strange events to Glory being around when strange shit goes down. Glory just found what appears to be the human world's version of the elements of harmony and has been tampering with magic to try and make camp "better"

    Of course, his description of gaia ends up turning out to be exactly what Glory turns into at the end when she overuses magic.

     

     

     

    To be honest, Glory/gaia is kind of a shitty villain, since she's just insane, and insane in a "Literally makes no sense" way, in that her plan is pretty much counterproductive-- Which, since she IS insane, makes sense, but still, she's got the logic of Bizzarro superman in how to "Help" people.

     

    That being said, she comes across as a "Starter villain" kind of character: she's not there to be a true big bad she's there to be a throwaway threat to introduce the heroes to being magical girls, more or less; Like I said, the movie almost functions as a better Starting point for the EQG series than the 1st movie, since its setting up a purpose for the seven of them as magical girls, with clearly defined powers and power sources, and a clearly defined purpose in the stinger.


    Well, Sunset did seem pretty oblivious to Flash in that one scene, and this IS the book, so that might not even be in there.

    But If they're Hooking up Twilight and timber, I can't see them not doing a Pair the spares thing for flash, since they have so many toys of him and an invested interest in hooking him up with someone else.

    What did Sunset do to Flash? Im sure Timber didnt show any signs of affection since they just met (pretty sure Timber isnt  loveinfirstsight  anything like Flash )

    Word of God, as well as the Journal of the Two Sisters, do indeed both suggest that Luna and Celestia were born as Alicorns. However, their origins are made unclear by actual main show events. Celestia says, of Flurry Heart's birth, "The birth of an Alicorn is something Equestria has never seen!" This is in direct reply to Rarity musing that Alicornhood must be earned. Luna adds, "It is beyond even our understanding." Given the context, it would take some semantic gymnastics to fit in an interpretation that they were born as Alicorns. So while a lot of secondary material has explicitly stated that they are Alicorns by birth, primary material heavily implies that they, like Cadence and Twilight, earned their status, rather than it being a birthright.

     

    As it stands, primary material trumps secondary. Thereby, Celestia and Luna were not born as Alicorns. As to their longevity, I have a feeling Alicorns have, to a certain extent, the ability to choose the time of their passing. Celestia chose to live until her sister returned, but perhaps she and her sister may move on, which would explain why she groomed two new Princesses to take their place. In that event, Flurry Heart's birth would be something of a wrinkle in her plan. But this is all veering headlong into the realm of headcanon, by this point, so it might not be pertinent at all.

    Thats what Rarity says. she didnt know about alicorns. The Alicorn race are probally extinct .they didnt expect Flurry Heart to be born since Cadence was originally a pegasus ( but Shining armor is a unicorn? if they fuse you will get an alicorn right? though it probally has a small chance), Also Celestia cant choose her passing that would either make her a god or just totally perfect pony

    A new changling, Possible crysalis' daughter, If changlinges work same to bees anyway.

    Crysalis probly treats her children the same as other changelings. Ops Thorax mom could be Crysalis!!

    Also they cant convince this changeling to be good or bad at all!! Let he/she decide their fate! Or maybe the changeling might be neutral to both groups? How will that turn out?

    What Are The Life Spans Of Alicorns, Unicorns, & Ponies In MLP?

    I don't think we'll ever get a definite answer, but I doubt the three "mane" races of ponies differ much in their lifespans between them. I don't think their lifespans is much different than ours, as they are not your average ponies :huh: (in the same base as other primates don't have the same life span as us). About Celly, una, and the alicorn tribe they came from, it's unknown how long they can live. According to the journal, they aren't immortal, but long lived. The sisters are at least 1000 years old, but considering they are still young (Celly looks mid 30s at most, and Luna might not be biologically older than the mane6), alicorns must live much longer (I'd say 5000 years at least)

    Well maybe not 5000 years, Celly and Luna are long lived because of their connection to the sun and moon?

    well, in the original script that sony pictures was sent like 2 years ago, apparently starswirl was the one who tells the princesses that the villain has showed up, so its possible we'll still have starswirl in the movie.

     

    he IS a time traveler after all, and I wouldn't say its too unlikely that he never "died" but simply ended up leaving his current time and traveling to other times in the past.

    Probably; that's very common-- you have rainbow power, equestria girls has the time to shine sunset and Midnight sparkle toys as well as the new crystal fire wings toys, ect.

    Its an easy way to make recolors of the same character to sell to little girls who've already purchased the mane six before after all.

    Well its not like he could master those spells , he did the hard part while Starlight just completed it

    This could be argued either way. On the one hand, even a Changeling as good as Thorax cannot control his instincts to feed on high amounts of love, as evidenced by the way he reacted to the baby. Then there's also the fact that the other Changelings can impersonate Thorax with little effort.

     

    On the other hand, Thorax may be the best weapon Equestria has against the Changelings. He could give them insight into the Changeling culture that the ponies did not previously have and could help them figure out how exactly to defeat Chrysalis once and for all.

     

    It's a high-risk endeavor either way, but given the nature of this show, you know things will work out in the end.

    "Defeat Chrysalis once and for all." He's basically killing his mom lol this is not the way to show that hes different from other changelings

    Heh, I like your reasoning behind why she'd be ashamed of her origins. :P

     

    I've never noticed her being ashamed of her origins. Where have you noticed that? She always seemed fine with them to me. In the Cutie Mark Chronicles she didn't seem particularly fussed about wherever she came from, and I noticed nothing from when her parents stopped by in Sisterhooves Social.

     

    Changing your accent to middle class isn't necessarily exclusive to the Brits. It depends on the areas you grow up in from personal experience - live in Kensington or Knightsbridge and you'll most likely end up with that accent as opposed to your average Peckham/Brixton inhabitant. (No offence to anyone who lives in Peckham or Brixton, I'm sure you're quite lovely.)

     

    In fact, the only really British thing I've seen Rarity do is enjoy a cup of tea. The rest of her seems France-influenced, mostly the brunt of her fashion enthusiasm. Then again, I've not looked too in-depth into Rarity, so I might be overlooking a few things ^^

    But most France girls wear simple ,unlike what Rarity usually wears xD
