I mean, how could you make your character naturally one of those instead of needing a relic or something to transform them?

Granted but as you are subject to Cartoon Physics, someone turns off the TV and you die. 

I wish Chromebooks wouldn't crash. 

Granted you get food poisoning though.

I wish that I hadn't gotten sick with a sore throat, and painful coughing and that no other ailments could befall me for the next month. (Seriously.) 

Can you add Umbrum Ponies to the race list, please? 

 We all know the story of how Celestia beat Nightmare Moon.  But not all futures remain the same. This is the story of what happened if the Elements of Harmony couldn't be used,  and both Princesses were forced to fight it out.   As the princesses fought,  the Fiends of Tartarus escaped.  In a last effort to save the ponies,  Starswirl and Commander Hurricane as well as Clover the Clever journeyed to an ancient site.  There they constructed a Fortress of Sorts,  and sacrificed themselves to revive the King of All Monsters,  Sombra and have him take down the Fiends because the Fiends were Monsters,  and they believed him more than powerful enough to do so.  To do this, they forcibly made it impossible for King Sombra to be evil with magic,  binding him with a Geas.  Now the Good Sombra and his allies have to save and restore the world to normal somehow,  while at the same time fighting off the fiends of Tartarus and many other ancient evils. 

So how will you survive in this broken world?

- Nightmare Moon (Open) :     Reformed because she realized she needed ponies alive to support her,   she created the Shadow Moon Kingdom.   There,   she takes care of her subjects and tries to make sure they're safe from harm.    Of course,  her actual power is limited.  She lacks the numbers to engage in battle.

    - Minister of Magic (open) 

    -  Minister of Science  (Open) 

Sunset Shimmer:   Sunset Shimmer has returned from the Mirror.  Upon seeing the chaos of Equestria she travels around with a group of ponies and tries to do as much good as she can to make amends for her mistakes,  and restore Equestria to normal.  (Open) 

Twilight Sparkle:   The Arch Mage under King Sombra.  She's not the Element of Magic,  and has never been Celestia's student.  She's still learning magic,  although from King Sombra himself this time around.  (Open) 

Applejack:  Applejack lives in Refuge but has never met Twilight yet.  She grows the crops with her family.  She witnessed Granny Smith get murdered by Corona Sun and has pledged her loyalty to King Sombra.  (Open) 

Rarity:  The head of fashion for Refuge.  She and Sweetiebelle are the tailors of Refuge.  They've pledged loyalty to Sombra. (Open. ) 

Fluttershy:  Fluttershy is the head medic of Refuge.   She was found by Sombra injured in the Everfree and healed by him.  (Open. ) 

Rainbow Dash:   Rainbow Dash leads the Shadow Bolts,   a team of aerial rebels that have been battling Corona Sun and the others,   but hasn't met her friends yet.  The Shadow Bolts consist of Griffins,  and the Former Wonder Bolts.  Their uniforms are black,  with gold and purple lightning bolts.   This consists of Pegasi, Griffins, Earth Ponies,  and Unicorns as well as any other species that wishes to join.  (Open. ) 

The Bad Guys:

-  Doom Tusk:  Doom Tusk  is a boar  who is about a Piglet in size.  But he has a powerful spell called Subjugation that allows him to control those who are evil. This spell also allows him to jack their bodies,  and use them.  His knowledge of other spells is limited,  but he has an army of boars at his disposal. 

-  Corona Sun:  A corrupted clone of Celestia that was created by an evil mage.    Corona Sun possesses all the powers of Celestia,  but none of her kindness.   She rules the oppressive Eternal Sun Empire that operates out of Canterlot,  and controls a good portion of Equestria.   Her soldiers are forced to swear loyalty or have their families murdered in front of them by her personally.  (Open.) 

-  Grogar:   Grogar has come back to conquer Equestria with legions of dark magic golems and an arsenal of magic spells.  (Open. )

-  Tirek:  Tirek owns his own section of Equestria, namely Appleloosa.  There,  he's training an army of Unicorns and Earth Ponies so that he can enslave all of Equestria and put them on top.   (Open. ) 

- The Fiends:   The Fiends of Tartarus.  Each of them embodies a specific element.   There's one for Earth,  Water,  Fire,  Light,  Darkness,  Gravity and Sound as well as many other Elements.  Defeating a fiend means that the pony who does becomes an Alicorn.    (All open. )

Neutral Parties:

Discord -   Freed when the chaos began,   Discord is loose.  He's unhappy that his chaos was pre-empted.   But he's content to watch. Still he can be bribed by any of the sides to lend a talon every now and then.  (Open. ) 

Changes to Canon: 

Twilight and the Others have never met.  Twilight lives in Refuge,  while the others are there.  except for Dash and Pinkie. The Elements of Harmony aare nowhere to be found,  probably destroyed when Celestia and Luna went all out.  Discord is out there,  on the loose.   Tirek and all the foes Equestria has ever faced have returned and become menaces once more,  and Nightmare Moon has redeemed.

Locations: 

 -  Refuge: A massive floating city that is the home to the Neo Equestrian Empire ruled by King Sombra. . Refuge grows it's own food and has all sorts of defenses including advanced magical barriers that could block hundreds of Alicorn level magical attacks.  Refuge is the Home of Pony Kind and constantly moving.   Ruled by the Good King Sombra,  and his council of Harmony,   Refuge goes around and rescues ponies from slavery and tries to restore Equestria. 

-   Canterlot:    Canterlot has become even bigger than it was before. Ruled by the Tyrant Corona Sun and her army of minions,      Canterlot has become a bastion of darkness.  Over Equestria the sun doesn't set much because of her,  and the unicorns she has under her command.  This covers most of Equestria. 

- The Shadow Kingdom:  A land created by Nightmare Moon for her followers.   This Kingdom composes the former bad-lands.  This is shrouded in eternal night,  but the crops here grow,  and Nightmare Moon rules as a Kind Empress.  

- The Crystal Empire:  Abandoned by the Crystal Empire,  this land is fought over by  the Eternal Sun Empire,   the Shadow Kingdom,  and Refuge as well as many of the other Fiends.  Where the Crystal Ponies are,  no pony knows. 

- The Old Lands:  The Old Lands have yet to be colonized by ponies again,  but hold a lot of magical secrets. 

- The Changeling - Equestrian - Zebrican Alliance:     Lands outside of Equestria that were once Zebrica and the surrounding lands.  These are ruled by Master Tirek and the changelings,  along with representatives from each species.

So yeah,  I'm back!  Somehow it seems my posts were deleted and what not.  So could someone plese restore them somehow? 

My character was removed. So could you try to fix it or do I have to rewrite Smoky Gears anew?

Anyone care to help me expand this idea? 

Steel would suddenly find himself in a room with several ponies.  Each of the ponies wore the Element of Loyalty around their neck,  previous bearers.  "You have passed the test of Loyalty,  Steel. By being willing to journey with new friends to protect your old ones,  you have proven you've the heart of a loyal warrior.  While we cannot restore your Element of Harmony, your loyalty has touched us. "   Each raised a hoof and pointed at him... a gold necklace that would have an empty slot for a gem stone materializing around his neck.   "This is the casing for the Element of Loyalty. Reforge your Element when you can."

Spike flew over to Discord.  "Enough chaos for one day,  Discord. We don't want to draw the attention of Princess Twilight. "  Discord,  and likely Scarlett could tell that Spike was still weakened from the powerful spells that he had cast earlier.   As Spike said that,  he'd fall out of the sky because the earlier spells had really drained his magical reserves. Of course the fact he hadn't slept at ALL on the way towards the old city of Canterlot hadn't helped matters.  Given that he didn't want Twilight to find out about his plans,  it was somewhat of a good thing he hadn't slept.  But still,  it had taxed him.    "A little help...?"  asked Spike as he tarted to plummet to his death. 

I had an idea that the Princesses of the Land could choose a group of ponies in order to attempt to reform Sombra, with the aid of the Mane Six.  Would anyone be interested? 

Mind if I throw Smoky Gears in? 

The ponies that were near Flash looked at him.  "The Element of Laughter is dead. Why should we be sunshine and rainbows? She's been dead for over 200 years,  or more."    As they said that,  all the ponies would join forces... to attack Flash.

The element of loyalty,  Steel would notice a set of four doors near him. 

"One leads to your old friends,  the ones you made before now. If you go through, you can save them. Through the other door,  you can save your current friends.  The third door leads to Twilight Sparkle, you may battle her if you wish. As for the Fourth,  you can save both sets of friends but it will cost you your sword to open. Which path do you choose?"

The element of Loyalty would find himself faced with two paths,  that held two groups of ponies. One would be his old friends,  while the others were his new friends. 

"CHOOSE"   was said by a booming voice.

The Judge then looked at Red Cedar. "You have passed my test,  Element of Honesty. Your refusal to fudge the truth has touched my heart. As one of the Former Bearers,  that of Honesty myself I give you a reward..." The Judge would hold out a hoof at her,  firing a beam that would form a gold necklace with a slot for the Element of Harmony that would look like her cutie mark.

Near Blitz,  an older pony would materialize.  This one looked ancient,  and seemed to be made out of rainbow colored light that had a mainly purple hue to it.   "Element of Generosity,  you have passed your trial. I reward you by giving you the Elysian Gold needed to make your Element's casing. It is around your neck."  With that an amulet,   but with an empty slot for the Element of Harmony appeared around Blitz's neck.   "Return to your world... and remember the lessons you have learned here. "  The moment the older pony materialized,  Blitz would be turned back into his normal form.   "As a former holder of Generosity,  I have one last gift for you and your friends who will carry on in our stead..."   With that a set of sword hilts would appear,  one for each of the group. "These,  the blades of harmony will assist you.  They are not as powerful as the Elements... but hould you need them you will at least have something."

Spike then looked over at her.   "Hmm. We'll wait and see how this turns out..."

The Trial for Kindness was that Feeder now had a foal to look after,  who was grown and hadn't got his cutie mark... and had refused to leave Feeder.

Red Wood would find herself in a court room with one of her siblings,   or immediate relatives in the defendant's bench.   "You stand accused of grand theft. Element of Honesty,  would you care to weigh in as a character witness for your family member?"  The Judge looked tired,  like he'd been doing this trial for about a week.  "Here's the evidence..."  Using his horn,  the Unicorn Judge would levitate the evidence on the trial over to Red Wood.

Flash would find himself in Ponyville,   but everyone was upset and bickering with each other. Some had even started throwing rocks,  or swinging knives at each other.  Truly the Element of Laughter would have it's work cut out for it,  if it wished to save the town from this madness.

When Blaze entered the portal he could see himself clad in royal robes with a crown on his head, but this wasn't all.  He'd been temporarily changed into an Alicorn. Beggars from all over would have formed a long line outside the castle he was in,  while the rich people were fighting against them... trying to keep them from making any requests of him.

Scarlett would find herself near a statue that would speak.   "The power of Friendship won't be enough. Choose one of your friends to sacrifice so that I may give you the power of the other side of the Elements of Harmony,  that of the Elements of Life.  Will you give up Generosity,  Kindness, Laughter,  Honesty or Loyalty?"   asked the creature.  "CHOOSE or I will choose for you."

Spike approached the Dragoness.  "So what shall we do if even one of them fails the trials,  my friend?" 

Alright,  just not sure what to write for them... tbh. 

Anyway,  onto Part II.  We'll say everyone passed the Trials...  and  then we can have Twilight arrive to confront Spike. 

King Sombra examined the individuals before saying. "Element of Magic... step up."   With that his horn lit and a portal shaped like the Element of Magic would appear nearby. The portal would be made out of dark magic and would lead her to the trial.  "You are first of the Trials given that you will likely directly have to battle Twilight Sparkle most likely..."  Once he had made that portal King Sombra opened another series of Portals,  one for each of the Elements.   "These will lead you to your individual trials. Should you succeed you will be one step closer to recreating the Elements of Harmony. You will still need the Gemstones to convert into the Elements,  and some gold to forge them into. " 

King Sombra smirked.  "You're right,  having my kingdom back will be more than enough to earn you the truth. All you really need me for is a battering ram, to bash down the defenses of the Forge so you can go in because it hasn't allowed ponies or dragons or even Discord's species in it for thousands of years, since Starswirl originally made the Elements.  I will aid you in that.  But I want your word of honor that the Elements of Harmony will never be used against me, nor will the Crystal Heart. Do we have an accord?" asked King Sombra. "If so,  I will open the portal to each of your trials. These will push you to your absolute limits,  and test you in ways you never thought possible. You will die,  if you fail.  That is the nature of the Trials of Harmony.  Normally the Bearers never take the Trials,  but given you're up against a bloody Alicorn..."     King Sombra sighed.   

Spike was waking up fully,  and looked at them. 

"So,  shall we begin?" 

Sombra then looked over at the Elements,  and the Dragons. "What I said specifically was I would NOT allow you to find the Forge of Harmony,  because I wouldn't lead you there.  Given the Elements are one of TWO weapons that could wipe me out,  I'm not going to allow them to be remade.  The Crystal Empire is the price Spike will pay for merely summoning me.  Nothing you ponies say could convince me to assist you or provide you with the power you need to unlock the Forge of Harmony.  Besides,  the Forge wouldn't work as a Harmonic individual cannot use it anyway.  Someone of Darkness would have to smith the Elements of Harmony anew and again,  I won't help you."  

Meanwhile,  Spike began to awaken as one of the members of his squad arrived. Groggily he started to stretch out,  and wake himself up.  Spike sighed as he looked over at them. "Gale.  Zaraki,  you're part of my Draconic Squadron. "   Spike sighed as he looked over at them both. "We'll be the backup plan if the Elements of Harmony, and Discord fail to stop Princess Twilight.  We'll need to figure out an alternative to the Elements." 

MissKlang,  care to weigh in on this? 

Your bat pony could be Generosity.  And alright,  bring them both in. Have them arrive due to Spike's summons. 

Sure.  You could say they're part of Spike's Draconic Squad. I'd also appreciate it if you'd take Garble who could be sent by the other dragons to keep Spike safe because he's the Dragon Emperor.  As to how they'd be introduced Tempest,  Gale and Garble could be sent by the Dragon Elders to keep Spike safe.
