Just read the whole manga of "Soul Eater Not!"
Took about 5 hours.
And it's not good. I hate when managaka (manga writers) have this really good story idea/story but the execution is just really bad. Uggggh.
The second manga I read that has something great at it's core but alot of crap surrounding it.
Honestly, I can appreciate some of the moe and some of the queer subtext (of course it's more moe than it is subtext), but overall it's like ugggggh.
Side note: not as ecchi as original Soul Eater......for the most part.....one part in particular went really off the rails. Lots of filler in the chapters tho. Story definitely deviated alot.
I watched the last episode of the anime just to see how it might have improved on it, but nope. Actually much worse.

Oh yeah I know it's made by Makoto. I recommended it because he kept the same style (supernatual teen romance) with that film. I saw it when it came out and when it came back to theater earlier this year. I love it <3
I like Erased; it was pretty good. I mostly recommended it because of the mystery element to it.

@Spidey10actually now that I think of it. If you haven't seen Death Note, that might be up your alley.
I just always assume everyone has watched it. But yea crime mystery supernatural.

Well this question probably applies more to people who actually can have a skin tone of "pale" XD But I like my color in the winter but definitely prefer the bronze of summer Also I have makeup that matches both of my shades so all good.

This is something hard to contemplate. Would the movie still be coming out now or back in 2010? If it's now I'd want to say no...maybe?? If it was back then I would say yes.....probably. The big thing that got me about FIM was literally that: "Friendship is Magic." Friendship was always something important to me I but feel like I was never understood. Then I watch FIM and all these ideals that I've held close to my heart: loyalty, honesty, kindness, generosity all put together along with Pinkie Pie's laughter (that element got me less but Pinkie Pie's character definitely did), culminating in this literal representation of friendship was what my little heart needed. FIM was the longest show I saw at the time in 2015 (like 120 episodes). I never watched long shows before that and only reason I did was because FIM was literally the best. FIM helped me reveal alot of things about myself and helped me to truly embrace my innerself or at least a significant portion of it. I bring all this up because if I found another show to watch like She-ra, or Steven Universe, Sound! Euphonium, etc. that hit me the way FIM originally did then those shows would probably be the thing that filled a great portion of my heart that in 2021 seeing this new generation film coming out, I probably wouldn't have checked it out. But let's say I did. I probably still would like it and maybe it'd make me curious to see what happens next but I doubt it tbh, because I'd probably be hungry for a different kind of show etc. --------- If a new generation came out back in 2010 instead of now. I probably would still be a brony. This is going off the assumption that 5 years of content would be out by the time I checked it out in 2015, it was good content, and bronies were a thing. It probably still would have hit decently hard and made me intrigued to see what happens next. I probably wouldn't have been as enamored with it as I was with FIM but still significantly I think. -
Just came back from seeing Encanto
SpoilerI loved it!!! I started balling so much during two parts in particular
but it was more like the first balling moment just had me crying throughout the rest of the film!
The music was great! But I was hoping for it to be fantastic XD
The visuals of course like every new year from disney/pixar are a step above the rest!
There were times I felt that with the high number of characters some of them were being left out or not fully fleshed out as they could have been.
Stephanie Beatriz (Maribel), goddamn Rosa Diaz, sang amazing! Loved her voice!
So far I would say Luca is still the best animated film far and the best film of the year that I have seen. Followed by Encanto or Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop.

Yea Aoi Hara and Revolutionary Girl Utena are the main animes I think of when it comes to this. I think the Aoi Hana story is actually complete in the manga. On my list to buy eventually (no spoilers). Unless you mean the anime is stuck in limbo. Like nah, that's just done. That's not gonna be touched.

Anyone ever get frustrated when an anime is over and it feels like there's more to the story? Like it wasn't done. Then you look it up and see the original source material has more left in it. It's like ugh. When the source material is really really long then it's like im ok with just watching the anime. Shit, if the anime is really great I just might decide to find some way to read the manga even if it's that long. (I'm sure my perception of long is different from other - for example: more than 50 episodes is long regarding anime) I finished watching this anime: Hyouka and it's like bruh. I didn't expect to like it that much, but it was really good and now I need closure! XD What sucks about Hyouka tho is that it's made by Kyoto Animation which is a great studio, but they have a tendency to deviate significantly from the original source material so it's like fuuuuuuu But yea.......I'm frustrated XD

Listened to "In the Court of the Dragon" and hell yes! This album is amazing! The drums are absolutely monster, the progression is great, and lyrics too. There are times where some vocal decisions I found to be dull but other than that seriously wow. Also some of the songs I heard before grew on me. Literally one of my favorite Trivium songs now: The shortest song on the album also end up being on of my favs:

I binged Squid Game the last two days!
Really enjoyed it; now I'm trying to play ddakji with friends. Playing for slaps jajaja
Only big critiques I have of the show is I thought the exploding glass was stupid for the girl to be hurt like that for no reason. They wanted to have the two have their moment but for her to die that was lazy imo.
Also the VIP I thought were awful actors. Also the fact that they were like represented by being gay/bi I thought was toxic and you know, being the only queer characters. Uggggggh.

Bruh. What is it with the rock and metal community worshipping/promoting/supporting disgusting musicians and other people. Like it's one thing to be fascinated with them and explore but to actually be like "this is an intellectual" or talk about them like they have any sense and do no wrong is truly repulsive.
I'm a big metalhead and rocker but like ugggggh. Can't stand lots of the people sometimes.

I'm sure many have speculated already. But the crystals in "A New Generation" are what exactly? Why do they control the magic?
Possibly the new "Elements of Harmony" or just gems that came from the Tree of Harmony. I wonder if the Tree or "Treehouse" will even return.
I mean "Treehouse" made sense at the end of FIM cuz the School 6 were schoolage still, but like our new characters are adults with their own homes etc.
So might be a new thing or maybe they'll never mention it. Doesn't other me either way. I know every brony else wants constant callbacks and constant pandering but I wanna stay as far from G4 as possible. It makes sense to have something because they want to understand history but when it's gonna be stuff we already seen/know then it's literally boring fanservice. Finding out what happened between G4 and G5 seems cool, but again it might just be better as a mystery so no pony gets all frustrated wondering how whatever went wrong went wrong and how stupid it is etc.
Too much looking back will quickly lead to shit becoming stale.
But I'm sure at some point maybe in a later season of the show the history of the crystals and why they govern magical use in Equestria will be brought up.

I personally don't think it matters. I didn't want the same characters at all Wanted something completely new. Kinda got that with G5 so I'm all good for as of right now. Tho still scared of over-saturation.
