I do understand where you're coming from. However, As stated before, there were specials in which adults were seen and heard, cases in point, "Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown", "It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown", "This is America, Charlie Brown", "Snoopy's Reunion", "It's the Pied Piper, Charlie Brown". Another point as to why I would like to profile the lives of the adults of Peanuts is because Charlie Brown's misfortune would more than likely require a strong and compassionate mom and dad to help make his life more tolerable. let me list some examples. Charlie getting a bag full of rocks when trick or treating in "Great Pumpkin". Mr. and Mrs. Brown would be shocked and appalled by the actions of those people, and one instinct would be to take those rocks and throw them through the windows of the houses who shafted their son for no good reason at all. Another would be when Lucy constantly pulled the football away at the Homecoming Game in "It's Your First Kiss" deliberately costing their team the game and scapegoating Charlie. Adults wouldn't be stupid. Mr. and Mrs. Brown, and especially Mr. and Mrs. Van Pelt would have noticed this and would have called Lucy out on it and had her punished for her cruel trick. How about in "Happy New Year, Charlie Brown" when his teacher made Charlie read the entirety of "War and Peace" over the holiday and then deliberately flunk him by saying she doesn't believe he managed to do so. Mom and Dad Brown would have unleashed their wrath on that teacher that words couldn't describe. There's nothing wrong with Schulz's decision to make it all about the kids and how they handle their problems themselves. But it doesn't mean that an adult perspective couldn't be explored.

When you think about Charles Shultz's "Peanuts" franchise, one aspect that hasn't been covered is the lives of the parents of Charlie Brown and his friends. Now of course Charles Schulz liked to keep the focus on the kids and Snoopy in his comic strips and cartoon specials (with the exception of a few specials), but of course, that doesn't mean that fans can't have speculations and discussions about the adults in the lives of the Peanuts gang, and of course fanfiction opens many doors. So I thought that maybe I could ask everypony here what characterizations of the parents of the Peanuts would be like. Such as: What would their careers be? It's documented that Charlie Brown's dad is a barber, but what about his mom as well as the other parents. What are their hobbies, interests, their personalities? What's their relationship with their kids? Like how do Linus and Lucy's mom and dad feel about some of their kids' antics, like the blanket and the pulling the football away. What kind of parenting do they give them? Have the traits of the kids been inherited from their parents? Like could Charlie Brown's bad luck have stemmed from his mother or father being the same way when they were his age? What sort of active role could they have played in the lives of their kids during certain specials? What's their relationship with Snoopy as well as their opinions of his antics? Do they find him amusing or a constant headache? One possible reason to discuss this to establish a voice of reason, morality, and authority in the Peanuts universe. I have read some Peanuts fanfics in which the parents do make appearances and have lines in the fics. But so far I have yet to see any straight up profiling the lives of the parents of the Peanuts. What are your ideas on the profiles of the mothers and fathers of Charlie Brown and the other Peanuts?

visual art WWF Intercontinental Champions 1985-1998 Poster
BrawnyCharger posted a topic in Non-Pony Art & Creations
Here's a recent project that I made in GIMP. It features all 25 WWF Superstars who wore the 1985 to 1998 Intercontinental Championship Belt. I don't own any of the pictures used in this poster. Can you identify all 25 wrestlers in this picture? What do you think? -

What do your parents think about you being a fan of MLP?
BrawnyCharger replied to Paleopony's topic in Sugarcube Corner
My parents are perfectly fine with me watching the show and being a part of the fandom, since they are aware of other adult fandoms of kids shows. Although my sisters were against it, they've since cooled off with their criticism. When my parents walk into my room and see the pony merchandise, they joke that my room looks like a gift shop. -
I've used quite a few streaming services: Netflix WWE Network (until the switch to Peacock) Disney+ Shout Factory TV Crunchyroll Peacock Britbox Funimation My sister uses HBO Max.

movies/tv Anyone remember Square One TV?
BrawnyCharger replied to BrawnyCharger's topic in Media Discussion
Yes. It was in I think the last season. I think it was called "The Adventures of Zook and Alison." -
Does anyone remember that PBS Kids show "Square One TV"? It ran from 1987 to 1992 and was made by the same company that made Sesame Street and is perhaps the only PBS Kids show to focus on math. It had funny sketches like "Oops!", "Mathcourt", various TV parodies, music video parodies, game show parodies, Pacman parody "Mathman", and of course "Mathnet". I was wondering if anyone else remembers Square One TV?

I have Peacock. What I'm hoping for is for the content of the WWE Network to be as well organized and the content categorized on Peacock the same way it was on the WWE Network. I also hope that the option of selecting individual matches as chapters is available instead of having to fast forward and rewind.

I imagine Evil Applejack would have told Big Mac a particularly terrible lie about Sugar Belle cheating on him with Feather Bangs. I can also picture her telling Sugar Belle that Big Mac is cheating on him with Cheerilee. That might cause some real damage. Evil Pinkie Pie would be absolutely bored at the family rock farm and also say that Maud and her sisters are boring.

Let's say that the Evil Mane 6 clones created by Chrysalis managed to get out of the Everfree forest and into Ponyville. Imagine the sort of damage to the reputation of the real Mane 6 they would have done. What sort of evil do you think they would commit in Ponyville? What sort of lies would Evil Applejack have told the other Apples? How would other ponies as well as Discord have reacted to Evil Fluttershy's bullying? How would Spike among others have reacted to Evil Rarity's greed? How would others have reacted to Evil Pinkie Pie's grouchiness and boredom, particularly with Maud, Limestone, and Marble? How would other ponies have reacted to Evil Rainbow Dash's dismissive apathy? And how would Ponyville have taken to Evil Twilight Sparkle's powerhunger and tyrany? Also, how bad would the damage be that regaining the trust of the rest of Ponyville would have been quite an uphill battle for the real Mane 6, providing nopony learns about Chrysalis and the Mean 6.

movies/tv Netflix's "The Toys That Made Us" Series
BrawnyCharger replied to BrawnyCharger's topic in Media Discussion
My favorite episodes were the Season 3 episodes focusing on TMNT, Power Rangers, MLP and Wrestling. Of course I have an MLP collection, but I also have a few Power Rangers figures and WWF Hasbro figures. Here's my Red Ranger figures from the Super Megaforce line. I have Mighty Morphin through Wild Force. Here's my SH Figuarts Armored Red Ranger figure. Here's my WWF Hasbro figures. I have the official ring and more hidden in my attic. -
I got a webcam, a New York 4D Cityscape puzzle, a few old WWF Coliseum Videos not on the WWE Network, a Sailor Mars wall scroll and Kansas City Chiefs plush fleece throw for Christmas.

Considering it's Christmastime, I figured this would be a great opportunity to discuss the Netflix original documentary series "The Toys That Made Us". It covers the stories of the various toy franchises throughout it's ups and downs. I thought it was a fantastic series. The toys that are covered are Star Wars, Barbie, He-Man, G.I. Joe, Star Trek, Transformers, Lego, Hello Kitty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, Professional Wrestling, and of course My Little Pony. What are your thoughts on the series? I also posted a poll asking which episode do/did you have toys from. You can select more than one. You can even post pictures of your collections if you want (sans MLP as there's a thread for that here.

There are a few I would save: Owen Hart: I'd have safety inspectors and police officers at the arena well before the PPV starts and convince Owen not to do the stunt as well as have the inspectors confirm the harness to be unsafe, and threaten Vince McMahon and Vince Russo with arrest if they do not comply. Take it a step further. Have the WWF pay Owen all of whatever he has left to earn before retirement, then fly Owen safely back to Calgary that night and have Edge take his place in the match. I'd also have him convince Davey Boy Smith not to get back into the ring for at least a year until his back is much better and is clean and healthy. In the meantime, maybe they both could take up commentating in the WWF after a summer break. Derrick Thomas: I'd have had him stay in town and warn him of a snowstorm that's about to come, that way he wouldn't have gotten into the car crash. There are several others, but those two are off the top of my head.

This is particularly hard for me to choose just one of each but I'll try. Favorite Female Wrestler of all time: I'll go for Natalya. Favorite Male Wrestler of all time: Too many to name. Favorite Legend: Again there are several to name, but I'll list 5 of them. Davey Boy Smith, Owen Hart, Mr. Perfect, Randy Savage, Booker T. Favorite Current Wrestler: I'll go with Daniel Bryan. Favorite Tag Team: Bulldog and Owen. Favorite Royal Rumble: 1992. Favorite PPV: Tie between SummerSlam 1992 and In Your House: Canadian Stampede. Favorite TV Match: Bulldog VS Owen for the European Championship on Raw in March 1997. Favorite PPV Match: Tie between Bulldog VS Bret for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam 1992 and Hart Foundation VS Team Austin at In Your House Canadian Stampede. Favorite Finishing Move: I like so many of them. But I'm partial to Powerbombs myself. Favorite Tag Team finisher: Hart Attack. Favorite Signature Move: Hard to say. Favorite Submission Move: Sharpshooter.

Although they didn't get the position for Vice Headpony in A Horse Shoe In, How likely is it that Big Macintosh, Octavia Melody, and Dr. Hooves could still be hired to part time teaching positions at the Friendship School? Dr. Hooves could teach science to the students. Octavia could teach music. and Big Mac could teach manual labor classes among others. What do you think of this possibility?

This would be a perfect time for them to release more of the classics onto the WWE Network. Such as some more of the Coliseum Videos like Best of WWF Volumes 1-20 or Hulkamania Volumes 1-6. Episodes of Wrestling Challenge, older episodes of Superstars before 1992, or More Prime Time Wrestling. May I also recommend adding the matches that were released on WWE DVD's but not on the Network as well.

I'm a fan of Owen Hart's King of Harts/Slammy singlet.
-
Undertaker Rock Brian Pillman Jim Cornette Miss Elizabeth Rick Martel Vader Dynamite Kid I would put Owen Hart there but considering the Dark Side of the Ring documentary, I'm going to respectfully leave him off. Besides he's already inducted into 2 legitimate Pro Wrestling Halls of Fame so there's that.

gaming Which fighters would you like to be added to Street Fighter V
BrawnyCharger replied to BrawnyCharger's topic in Media Discussion
This summer they are going to announce season 5 for SFV with 5 new characters. My hopes for who they will be are T. Hawk, Fei Long, Dee Jay, Makoto and Dan Hibiki. I'll throw in Sodom and Dudley as wild cards. -
This makes me think there's probably a promotion up in Heaven. Can you imagine the many title reigns and spectacular matches of Savage, Owen, Bulldog, Vader, Hennig, Rude, Vader, Piper, Yoko, Pillman, Andre, etc. Monsoon and Heenan on commentary and Mean Gene giving the interviews in this Heaven promotion.
