Daring Doooby Doooo! Awesome episode, 5/5 ! And for a new writer who wrote less interesting episodes with not much happening like 'Fluttershy Leans In' this was sure a nice one. If it has less adventure than other Daring Do episodes I do not find it any less interesting, I cant find anything too wrong with the episode. I have yet to see why so mixed choices for it. At first, the combo looked boring to me RD and Pinkie. But then when I saw that they are going to Egypt, I mean the Egyptian themed ponies, it was awesome. One prob that I can find is it started too rushed but having to fit in the adventure in less than 22 minutes, I dont blame. But yes, this Season 7 revealed another interesting place existing in Equestria after the Japanese themed ponies, the Southern Equestria's version of Egypt. This is a nice world and maybe previous episodes were featuring Mayan/Aztec tombs? This is more interesting than the other places of Daring Do. This yellow-red pony at the far is a knockoff of Grand Pear from 'The perfect Pear' The map showing their travel path is great, I am no expert at it, it is good if it is consistent with the lore. Disney's Arab nights reference? As was already posted above, I totally love the view here, reminds me of all cartoons I have watched with Egypt like Asterix series in their going to Egypt. Some of the ponies in the mythology must have been the Egyptian gods or Cleopatra, I sure did not remember who was who but I liked the mythology, it was interesting enough for me and reversed - where the princess has to save the prince, good that it is not the common opposite. The interaction and reasoning was good to me - someone may ask why should Daring Do stop if she was hated in one region only? If that region is a big place for her to protect the relics and the disinfo and blackmailing at her continued, it sounded plausible she would want to stop. I was expecting she might reveal the writer and the Indianna Johnes are the same pony but it didnt happen. Yes the capture and saving was rushed but there was no time to do that as well. The ending suggested Caballeron might return, perhaps in some team villain case? The show is missing those, well Twi's Kingdom was the only one, needs more of it. Overall, another great and pleasing episode, dont think it needed much more.

I found this to be a very nice episode, well, not like 'A Royal Problem' but still from the good episodes I would 5/5 it. There are things that I found interesting and things that I wasnt much interested about but overall good one. The best in this episode was the continuity from previous episodes. For a starter, let's make comparison with the landscape of Queen Chrysalis' Hive from 'To Where And Back Again': And how it looks here: AGAIN... props to the animators and artists, the new look of the place shows a nice resurrection of the life around. Also, if anyone remembers from 'To Where And Back Again' And all the plants that start growing around. This place really reminds of 'The Cutie Re-mark' post-apocalyptic landscape. But still, not with that dark feeling, as rebirth is seen there with the clear sky and again some plants. The episode's content It was an interesting contrast with their trip to the Hive as in contrast with the Season 6 finale. Pharynx looks cool and it was interesting to see him in comparison with the reformed changelings. We get to see talking changelings and even little changelings as in the backstory of Thorax and Pharynx. I cannot say this is something I anticipated, seeing the life of the reformed changelings and their organization but it was something good to show - we've seen the Dragons, Griffons, Yaks, it was good to see what these do as well. The continuity with 'Triple Threat' is good, as they mention what Thorax learnt from Ember. I like how all more important chars that interact in this episode are reformed (semi-)villains. This is like the first meeting between Trixie and Starlight, reformed Thorax, reformed Pharynx. The tease between Starlight and Trixie, I thought SG would be much more mad at Trixie I cant say it is wrong, perhaps I have to see what the others will say, I don't have too much to say, nothing that much happened but Pharynx's new form looks better than Thorax, so it looks nice, but his point stands, the Changelings are now kind of weak for their own sake. Yes, was good to say they do theater, art and other pony/human activities. If Chrysalis returned, she would enslave them in no time. I agree and they could have remained light black or the dark colors similar to pharynx. Not everyone that is in dark colors has to be the bad one, it would fit more all changelings to be the colors of Pharynx reformed and just have the light red or light green or yellow wings and horns. Now they are more like the ponies, all light colors.

The episode writer must have been from the new ones, as this was an uneventful episode and not much responsibility was needed to put it but it was better than other episodes where they just tell a story or nothing happens. It was interesting, especially in the end but let's get there from the start. A side note: Aren't we seeing a lot of Rarity and AJ lately, also with the CMCs? RD and the others seem rare and is there anything we haven't seen AJ and Rarity doing yet. The episode starts with Rainbow Dash almost about to eat very poisonous berries. This looks belittled a bit, like more danger than RD would have ever been into. Not sure if it was good set, imagine, a fruit does something that no villain did. Interesting bugs - flyders or how were they called lol. That swarm of spiders could be disgusting to deal with outside, but they also sting or bite. Come on I like RD and I didnt like seeing her all with bumps. The camp stories were interesting, RD's story definitely was the best. Here are some things I also want to point out: AJ's story - was that a viking story, or a mixture with Excalibur & King Arthur? I liked the plot, still. Asian ponies? Where are they on the map? And notice the Asian unicorn ponies, how sharp and curved their horns are! Loved the ice vs fire snake spell, only I can't remember where I've seen this from. Props to the animators again. RD's story was based on Hercules? I suppose the Dragon Lord Torch was put here just to represent the scary dragons. This scene here was great, loved it too. Scootaloo's endless fear annoyed me a little, like grow up like your other two CMCs. And now here comes the adventurous part and what they uncovered was great but how and where is it? This is where I have a remark. Apple Bloom just mindlessly jumps in the water and no one attempts to save her. Do they know for sure it is going somewhere out and not ending in the middle of a subterranean chasm filled with water? Just a recent RPG I play (an old one) has such a place. How do they know the exit is not a huge waterfall they may not survive by just floating along the stream - this part was entirely not written well imo as, they just go without knowing and not a single precaution was used. Otherwise the place looks so interesting! Where do they appear? I did not hear the name well but somewhere in Cloudsdale? - this is believable shortcut and the adventure part was good, just the going into the unknown felt rushed. Not legendary episode, but awesome, I'd give it 5/5 for the nice places and stories.

inb4 "Horrible Episode Because Spike was the napkin of the episode that everyone could wipe their feelings with". I noticed the episode would be with Spike and Ember and I thought with other dragons but it wasn't a draconian episode. Meaning, I didn't expect Thorax and this was a pleasant surprise. So this is an episode where Spike is called by the Cutie Map. This must be the first time a non-pony is called after SG, the first non-Mane6 was called. It was suggested that the map now could call others, I think. Overall, I find this probably from the best ambassador episodes so far, better than 'Not asking for trouble' and much much better! So, it was a nice episode, such a relief after the controversial previous episode or few. I find Ember really cool, I like her attitude and Thorax, is as we know the goody Changeling. An interaction with all these would make more than an average episode. Was Starlight needed? Yes, her encounter of Ember was interesting, we know she has met Thorax since 'times they are changeling' onward. Plus she is the third pony to be in the castle when Twi and Spike are somewhere. I chuckled over Ember calling Starlight and Twi similar and it is realistic from dragon perspective to not find differences as foreign species. Spike, whether he is presented good or not in the episode, here was half the hero half the napkin or the shoe sole that all would use as they want, he has always been the jester of the episodes to me, It never bothers me how he is presented lol. A war between the Dragons and the Changelings might not have ended well for the Changelings but I like the proposed idea. The confrontation between Ember and Thorax was interesting but I like Ember way more and her eating the wall of the castle made of crystal was cute. New ship Ember - Thorax? Why not, I like, Spike is too little for her and like I said, he is like the drain of others feelings and stuff, that's his role in the series, face it. I loved the convo Bon-Bon Lyra and that Lyra spoke again, yay cute as always! \ Not super duper but an episode relief, 5/5 after the last episode was so wrong.

OK, I watch the show episodes, except for the best that I may repeat a few times, I do not re-watch all. I am certainly not spending more time on MLP outside watching and seeing comments here(idk why im doing the latter) as I have MUCH better things to do. So I do not understand these fandom wars and therefore I'm seeing now that the critique ponies in the episode mirrored the fandom. Well, it didn't work on me and the episode was clearly meant to be seen by those who go really deep into the show, else I would have noticed it is about the fandom (thanks goodness I do not watch spoilers or read comments, makes me have an entirely own opinion not influenced by anyone). I was seeing the ponies as nothing more than an Equestrian crowd of fans/critics, not the fandom. On the NA continent do people sink so deeply in a show they watch they forget about reality? I can name some comparisons with reality and the critics about episodes because 'it is not like how we do it IRL'. Why would one react so emotionally? I remember the 'Hard to say anything' comments... Sorry to say it but some of the reviews here are of totally absorbed people.Guess they are right when they say people get zombified by television. Either way, I do not feel hurt by the episode since I am not like any of these critics. And even so, it does not change my mind that the episode was done poorly and yes some realizations that were said in the episode were plain wrong. Yes this reminds me, I dont mind songs, I don't dislike them but the episode is running when suddenly a 'SONG' and I still didn't get what they were singing or telling the crowd of angry fans here particularly, another thing not clear and not made well.

Late but I do not seem to have missed too much with the episode contrary to what I expected seeing the 'heated discussion' this thread generated in number of pages. The episode is written by M.A. Larson that is from the best writers of the show, more experienced than the many newer writers lately. She seems to be good in slice of life eps and if this is the purpose of the episode, goal achieved. However, the episode did not grab me as some super interesting episode. I was not expecting to be like Royal Problem an episode where the Mane 6 and SG save Equestria (from my favorite type of eps) or some other adventure episode but I expected something happening that breaks the friendship of the Mane 6 and I mean bigger and different that Twi has to fix, perhaps making them learn what the two fillies mentioned in the end - that friendship goes through trouble and this is needed to stabilize or something like that was the lesson. Why wasn't this the problem in the episode that had to be learnt rather than given readily? The episode seemed like a revision of why Friendship is magic and is on topic for the very point of the show. It was showing how the Mane 6 went through trouble to build that friendship (even so I expected some flashbacks or more concise pieces of story that would remind us why the Mane 6 are who they are, that was rather poorly demonstrated). Some of the parts of the episode was too unrealistic (laughing to every Pinkie word), except for the crowd of crazy fans for AJ and Rainbow Dash, the problems the others found in the journal for each of the Mane 6 felt unrealistic. Rarity's burst into tears was typical of her character but some things felt overdone just to show that meme look of her? And there one thing I disagree with: Friendship is forever - WRONG, no need to tell the youngs that the world is only pink and with hearts. I think friendship can be built for a long time and be very hard to keep it up and yet easily break apart like a pyramid of cards with removed few cards after all the effort. So this time I won't be like 'hurr durr no matter what happens 5/5', and just because it reminded of Season 1 that for me was less interesting than Se2 or other seasons, does not automatically make it great. It was a totally so-so 3/5, (I have not read other comments yet so I have yet to see if others have the same ideas)

So, as some called it 'one of the most important episodes of the season'. Not for me but interesting story, nonetheless. Before knowing when I fist saw it and because I do not read spoilers, I thought Goldie Delicious was one of the lost parents but no. When the story started, it was a very sweet romantic story, indeed, the best love-ponies couple from all the seasons. The exchanged words between each other felt much more realistic than Cadence and Shining Armor and other pony couples that were ever introduced. Although the story of 2 families in conflict and love between two, one from each family was a bit of cliche it was nice, as it was now seen in MLP.. The inherited traits were also very nice idea (the honesty of Bright Mac to AJ, Pear Butter's helping others to Apple Bloom. The tree looked nice and yes the couple was cute. Do I care that the Apple Family was half Pear? No... what difference does it make. No one ever knew about Pear family before. Interesting discovery but nothing to make me be 'omagaaash'. The question haunting the episode's untold part might be rhetorical an unneeded but: So what happened to the apple siblings' parents? There is no need to load unpleasant thoughts of what happened but the episode suggests without a doubt that the siblings lost their parents but perhaps it would have been interesting to know what. This part was omitted to not make the episode depressing. 5/5 for the nice story, less interested in AJ eps lately but this episode caught my attention.

An episode with Discord and Fluttershy is automatically a Fluttershy episode for me, so my bias about it makes me give it a 5/5 although I have some remark in how it was. But first, the nice things. Discord made me chuckle with all the tricks, nothing unexpected but the tricks themselves were hilarious. I liked how he trolled the new old lady pony at the bench. New TEA/HERB ponies! I liked them, they were so adorable in their reactions to Discord. I find her so cute. All these surprised stares make her so lovable. (Finally?) Discords's house in the Chaos world. Not that it was not seen before but I like the environment here, looks very fitting with this horizon on the background, so props to the artists/animators. And the staircase that lead to a grid ceiling? (Sorry cartoon ceiling not ready yet, WIP) This Fluttercord costume cracked me up the most: The reactions: So Fluttershy's going to Discord's house was almost like dating or that was what Discord was seeing. Fluttershy expected something different, that was expected for the episode or there would be no problem. I didn't like the singing teabags but it was just for the lolz, so it was also acceptable. The way Fluttershy reacted to Discord's vanishing is how Fluttershy would do, so I think this was done quite well. The whole idea how Discord could have vanished had he continued to be so good and different was interesting and may open up a lot of possibilities or weaknesses of him. However, the question: why we never saw Discord starting to fade in if every time he did something like that he'd disappear? Overall great episode, the Fox brothers however, do not produce strong episodes and the thing about the episode, it felt like again nothing much happened, just a small problem, Discord was like: You don't like my making the tea party exactly like in your house? Ok -change the room back to chaotic- Fixed, The end. Kind of felt too easy problem for an episode with nothing much to solve, like 'You like it with cheese, ok I will put cheese /end of episode'.

When I first saw the vote results I expected something like 'AJ's Day off' when written by a new writer, something completely boring which was still going to be OK after the previous powerful episode. Instead, the episode was quite nice! The only thing meh is the 'I loved it' poll choice because no, Pinkie and that prince would not go on a date. I know it was a joke, although, this may not be a bad idea The episode was surprisingly good considering I am less interested in Pinkie episodes or Yak-Yakistan although it was good to see what the latter were doing. And no, Spike did not show being able to spit fire large enough to melt hills of snow. I expected to see Pinkie seriously messing up the peace of the Yaks with the ponies but I was like 'phew', so the episode did a nice job to keep the watcher uncertain in what happens next. The first moment this may have happened was when Pinkie did not seem appreciative of their stories, then something may have gone wrong, had she helped the two young yaks. And in the end when the Mane 6 came to Yakyakistan, to help I expected them to nearly declare war for violating the tradition of the Yaks when they said they did not want help (here we go, an episode where the Mane 6 are going somewhere together, no Starlight for those who mind, so another score for the episode). And yet, if they had to choose to break the tradition or leave the young ones to starve was going to cause a problem. The resolution was rushed sure, but the episode went quite fine, better than I've expected. So 5/5

It seems it is impossible to not complain, no matter how good an episode is and I can see the majority in the votes, quite conclusive. Should Hasbro cater to the few that find it such a wrong episode because Starlight Glimmer used magic against the will of other ponies again? If the two sisters had considered it so wrong, they would have stopped her or told her to reverse the spell but no, they just saw someone pushing them to a challenge and they accepted it. Why can't those who complain see it from this perspective? I should be just skipping the complaints but when drama is made out of everything and in this case by few and they are so vocal, it becomes annoying to come across those posts. So we need an episode like 'AJ's Day Off', written by a new writer in which we learn that AJ just wants to have some time with Rarity at the spa. Then it would have been a great episode right? Nothing. just pointless problem that could even be skipped due it's irrelevance and it's a slice of life in which absolutely NOTHING happens other than boring chit-chat for 22 minutes. Then it's a great episode. This is called spicing it up, you need Discord, you need Starlight because while they are contradictory characters, this is what makes the episodes good and spiced! No let's have straightforward episodes in which the Mane 6 always do what absolutely every single fan expects them to do.

Finally the spoiled story of Starlight being called by the map is no more relevant, since I now watched the whole episode. Luckily I did not read anything more to know what the story brings and the awesome episode that this is! And the votes are not a surprise, for me this is not just a 5/5, this is the best single episode I've watched of the whole series! And what made it so great is that once again it was with Princess Luna but also Celestia, an interaction we've never seen before and parts of their daily lives. But what is more, this was all squeezed into a single episode so nicely, what typically could go in two parter and could have been the beginning of the season in 2 parts. To start off, the writers have made okay episodes with the start of the season but they were authors of 'The Hooffields and McColts' (Se5), 'Gauntlet of Fire' (Se6), sure not the best eps but from the good ones, this one is better than any other single episode ones, better than any other Princess Luna episode imo, although 'Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?' (Se5) was nearly as great. Twilight overreacting but that's been typical of her. I chuckled over her ballerina statuette, it was the right idea for Twi's worry. Now some may say, SG did it again! She used magic on others and this time not anyone but the rulers! And that she should have been punished, banished, etc. I think Luna and Celestia could have attacked her with magic and in the last moment stopped and realized that they had to try it and this time SG did it for good, it is just her way of doing things, casting magic on ponies, it comes natural for her. Those who dislike her for doing that just need to accept it. Still, for a 22 min episode the way it was done worked for me, for why she did it and the way Luna and Celestia accepted. Then, for the first (or second) time I see Luna with wrinkles and not good looking, maybe she was similar in 'Twilight's Kingdom' after her magic power was drained by Tirek, Also, Celestia makes cakes? Sweet literally, I want one! Then the episode went quite predictable - one could expect each of them would mess up the other sister's daily agenda. The castle hall looks so nice with lavender decoration ! Props to the artists and animators again. And again, I've never seen Princess Luna just splashing her face over a table, looked funny, She was cute for example when sweating in 'Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?' but here just funny. Also yay at the royal dining room And then comes the best part that felt like I was watching a two parter, Celestia could not manage the dreams and the night, then this villain comes, that is the coolest looking villain of MLP, better, much better than Nightmare Moon. Daybreaker, she is so much more evil than Nightmare Moon, that she should have a reappearance in another episode. Was she more powerful than NMM? Either way, seeing NMM again was a bit too much seeing this new one is amazing. Reminds me of marvel's carnage and venom formed of the same thing, just applied to different subjects. This almost saddening part, whose are these teeth? Luna's? I felt bad for the best Princess of all (and I know some would say Celestia but Luna has much more fans imo). Why would this happen? The episode was well wrapped, excellent choice, we did not see much action but everything fit so well for the 22 mins. Great, really the best and only single episode that I can measure along with the 2-parters.

Honestly what an Apple episode. I will go with the crowd here, often times when Im 5/5 most are like 4/5 or vice-versa but this time im not saving what didn;t come as good episode for me. Mostly it is because unless the episode with Rarity or AJ have something exceptionally good to make you laugh or enjoy like Saddle Row Review, I just dont care about the episode if nothing much happens. And this episode is one of them so I give it 3/5. I'm curious to see the reactions, did they hate AJ, did AJ again go OOC to serve the episode, or was it normal after all her development? I think her reaction is alright, I mean she can lose her temper easy enough sometimes, so just cause 'some lesson is learnt' doesn't mean she can't react like that. Some parts of the episode felt like not the typical AJ but overall she was herself. And the making it up for it part of AJ was expected, not a bad episode just not so interesting to me. There are only misc remarks I want to point out, I forgot the first one, the second one was - since when Pinkie plays a (banjo?)? Or maybe it is a guitar afterall, the Rarity playing the guitar was done to be meme-d. Lily Lace is so nice, maybe because she looks like Fluttershy

@Batbrony et al, don't know why you felt criticized or verbally attacked individually that you felt you had to explain in details, or felt being disrespected. I did quote you even less than Dark Quiviut and I know Batbrony is mostly positive. I just don't think throwing such a serious accusation and a word like 'assault' is appropriate here, it is wrong. Yes, I get that it didn't work well, the scene wasn't the most appropriate as it happens a lot with season 7 episodes having new writers. But in the end, it is about trying to be romantic even if it was not done in a good way, I would call assault a rape attempt not a kiss. Yes you don't kiss people you don't know but if it happened and kissed someone on the street even as a joke would you be sued? I've seen in those hidden camera pranks that ones existed people would get kissed, so should they all start crying 'assault assault, he harassed me!'. I disagree with it. And that's why I'm saying I wouldn't feel comfortable with people who wouldn't be chill and make such conclusions. And this wasn't even kissing a stranger this was like a kiss with someone you know. Maybe doing it in Sugar's sleep made it look that bad, perhaps she had to be awaken but the kiss attempt itself is nothing to be disgusted about, they met each other enough,

I would say what is wrong with this part that provokes such reactions? Are some over-sensitive? Why overreact on a thing that has been done over and over in other cartoons? How is this suddenly harassment, ASSAULT, soon RAPE maybe?? And why are such made with the pure reason to make you laugh out considered a huge problem? How is Big Mac with love potions not creepy, because I see the same logic. And frankly, I find the scene funny, I doubt younger audience got shocked, stunned, depressed to see Big Mac moving his lips towards Sugar Belle? For that logic, we should ban Bon-Bon and Lyra because look they promote the younger audience to deviate from being straight. How is this OK in comparison? If anything makes things look bad it is when something like that gets needlessly much attention and some go sky high loud over it. Same with racism, same with anything. I can't accept this kind of over-sensitivity behavior because if anyone's like that, wow stay away from them. You may look at them, they will think you are sexually harassing them, you will say black even if not referring to them, they will call you racist, uh stay away. I know that a lot of the MLP lore describes the history of America but this is still a fantasy world and more like a fairy tale, don't act like the cop in Equestria. So I would say this: What's these accusations, I feel someone should not be doing anything around you. I am all for following the law and rules but I think some people are over the top, the small deviation from them and those people go nuts. Like look Bigmac and Sugar almost lips kiss *ye ye excuse them that they are just touching noses but don't excuse Big Mac', so what is this now, making love by your standards? Some fandom's reactions makes me /MacMarble

People are so whiny these days about everything... Because how can anyone not just love this episode ?? Because that episode was awesome 5/5! And that says a lot from me. For past seasons CMC episodes for me were least favorite and I never cared much about them. But with Season 6 and mostly this season, I started finding the episodes quite nice, even the previous episode Parential Glideance. I find the CMCs so adorable at what they are doing in latest episodes. This episode was so sweet that how can anyone even slightly dislike it? To start off, the CMCs' decision to spy was a good way of their crazy ideas to move the plot. An episode taking place at SG's village without SG, that's innovative, different and so good to make the episode there! Sugar Belle I still find nice but I could consider Marble Pie more adorable. I have not read through the comments yet but is this why it is disliked? Because someone's canon was broken that Big Mac is not with Marble? I ship the new couple and even though some may say 'it happens so suddenly they already love each other' - the CMCs did say he has been going there for a while. And when I saw Feather Bangs, first I thought was omg a BIEBER PONY!! And I still freaking loved his look, I just couldn't hate him for his resemblance with JB because I just didn't imagine that this was JB. Then we see some funny situation with each trying to outdo the other in impressing Sugar Belle. Yes I could understand if that was the hate part but really i dont know why some should immediately think this should be Bieber who the episode is trying to convince should be liked. No, it is a pony of his own and although I expected some loserish ending for him, he also got help and. I liked it, it made up for a very refreshing ending! And I could relate Feather Bangs to other cute singers that have fans. I am in no way fan of JB but I do not relate that pony to him, so being awesome works for me. This was a heart warming episode, not Hearts Warming Eve. I so dig Big Mac and Sugar Belle, you go in your development, and this was another episode for him to talk.

Late for the hype train? That's how it is going to be mostly. This episode, is AWESOMEee 5/5 10/10! The best Rainbow Dash episode (ever?)!! Certainly better than any of the past I have seen in the past 2 or 3 seasons! There are few things that annoyed and I will start with them: Just like in the previous episode (forever filly) Rarity's crying was too much. Here, Scootaloo's squeaking was continuous to the point of being redundant. It once again was exaggerated because we know that he is a big fan of RD but over time shouldn't seeing RD's parents be less of an excitement and some of the things Scootaloo got exited about for nothing? Though seeing some of the trophies of Rainbow was surely in place to be super hyped about. The other thing that was weird and a bit unrealistic is Rainbow's parents were a bit empty minded. They really cared about nothing but being obsessed with Rainbow Dash, I get that but it looks like they were like mesmerized and would do anything they are told if it is even remotely related to RD. It looked a bit unrealistic also the endless crying. Except for that, everything else was just amazing and seeing in details the story of Rainbow Dash was amazing! Also I like the connection with past episodes when they started retelling the story how she became a Wonderbolt. At first it was weird her parents would not know about her being in the WBA but the explanation that she was cheered too much by her parents and she probably was let train on her own, thus somehow losing the contact with her parents long enough to hide about being a Wonderbolt works for me. I see a new writer but he did a nice job with the episode. As I said Scootaloo was being a paparazzi and annoying to some extent but I liked that there was a conflict and I don't get that some may frown upon RD's yelling at her parents and Scootaloo. Some would downvote the episode just for that scene, like why? There was plenty of reasoning and I am with RD, she had enough of being ridiculed there was nothing wrong with her reaction! Also the episode presented well enough why she acted that way. and yes it is OK TO FORGET QUICKLY, you expect Scootaloo to remain upset for long because of that?? No, the episode was great, Period. And now in details what I liked seeing enough to be worth posting in frames: Scootaloo sling-shooting herself into Cloudsdale was not a bad idea, though I wonder how some sink off the clouds and fall off. This place reminds me a lot about the house of Fluttershy's parents. It's like it was used as a base to show RD's family. What was that about the sound effect at RD's room of trophies? Not needed but ok. The room looks so shiny, like some treasure room, a shrine to Rainbow, I love it, I like all the shiny objects looks so good. I have to show these two images to come back to how nice the place looks! It is nice to see that the other wonderbolts did not mock at Rainbow Dash for the parents' glideance and seem to have accepted her like that,. Nice effects too:

For years and seasons it's been one episode per week and people just could not make fandom, post about anything but the latest episode because it mostly happened at the same time. And it was good, balanced, since there was just enough time to think about an episode. All of a sudden, you have these newer and newer episodes being posted and threads being made for them, and it seems, most hurrying to post and comment and forget what was in the episode before it even airs in the US. As much as you could say 'don't watch clips, trailers, spoilers, videos, comments, fan art about new episodes before they come to Discovery Family, it happens all over. Even I learnt with a glance that at some other episode 2-3 episodes away from where we are now.. And sometimes even the episode titles are spoiling enough. I know some wanna post early but isn't it better to just make 1 episode thread / week? Last week it was 1 episode more, now I am seeing 4 episode titles in advance.

A CMC episode, rather a Rarity episode. Even for not being a big Rarity fan I loved her episodes from the past two seasons, like the saddle row review, etc. Really fun episodes. This episode fits the Fox brothers in a way that for me they are better off with episodes for ponies I care less about, not that I would get too struck with OOC but still. And finally I feel I found an episode that I would just vote 3/5 maybe not Meh but not great, not even that good. The ceaseless crying of Rarity in the beginning seems exaggerated. When we see the actual plan of the episode in action, quite predictable and maybe like some reviewers pointed out how sometimes we see a character acting weird or silly to fit the episode.. well Rarity seemed way too clueless about her sister to fit the plot. I get she has forgotten what her sister likes but this went too much imo. Also, if you want Rarity to look silly then goal achieved (for wearing that flower costume for quite a while - curious to see what others will say about Rarity's acting here). Then we get that they figure out things both with the dog and with Sweetie Belle. In the end, just a filler episode in which nothing much happened, yes CMCs got a new filly to have the cutie mark but one good thing: Sweetie Belle's grown up, good to show her development but it should not happen at the expense of others looking sillier and a step back of development to fit the episode.

More than one is also time consuming for me... when they posted a new episode thread seemingly with a time machine a week later, I thought they aired two episodes this weekend. Nope, just out of no where some Canadian airing decided they need to look special and air one week ahead, resulting in episode not aired yet in the US and even tho I dont read posts before watching, it is likely to be spoiled from some other place. Like couldn't they just air the same week as in the US. -- On topic, Fluttershy is reserved as some posted, it's normal she'd not instantly deny the help of these three contractors and how can she know in advance that they are of no help. Sure a pony with some other character could say 'Interior designer cannot help me' but Fluttershy, would not know if they can help or not, so I don't see a problem in her not knowing if they would be the right fit.

With all the new episodes of new ponies and a slice of life with them, I've been starting to miss the Mane 6 episodes where they are the main focus, so an episode like that was good to see again! And I haven't forgotten Fluttershy my most fave of the Mane 6, it is great to see an episode featuring her again. Props to the writer of 'The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows', not seen much of her writings but this one is very nice. Also Fluttershy showed character that I have never seen before and it matches her growing out of all previous episodes and no, it is not too sudden change of her character, nor is she OOC. I loved her new attitude and I'm ready to defend it if some get annoyed by her boldness! The episode started with a new pony, that vet, which is nice (have I seen her before? idr). It was expected that these also new ponies the constructor, the designer and AJ's worker would not get the things right. Fluttershy's reaction reminded of her behavior in Discord's chaos world but it wasn't that harsh. Some would call this uncalled and sudden but I liked it showed growing out of her shy behavior forever and since it's about animals, showed character. It was nice seeing one of the McColts, if their constructions are considered masterpieces, then it's ok that the one of them was to do that sanctuary. I cannot say too much happened but what the episode showed is as important new place as maybe Maud Pie's cavern with waterfalls and gems, and Rarity's Boutiques and Rainbow's membership in the Wonderbolts. Finally Fluttershy founded her own place, a Sanctuary and good looking one too! Great animation by the animators after the nice caverns and waterfalls last episode. I give it a 5/5 but it goes with some bias as Fluttershy's episode, Still a lot of mixed results in the votes.

I still find it strange how the votes are split for some, specially this episode - written by N. Confalone that already got the story is not that new, and it was NOTICEABLE that this episode was written well and not by first timers. I have yet to read what was not liked in this episode that it is again with SG?? I'm ok with it. As not being into Pinkie episodes though I did start liking Maud Pie episodes since last seasons, this one just rocked! The best Maud Pie episode I've seen also showing so many nice thing and important parts of past stories! A funny ceremony in the beginning but above all in it, the cute Marble Pie, an episode with her already becomes a lot more special! Then serious story decision 1 - Maud moving to Ponyville? If that means seeing her more often, then that would be nice, idk if we will see more of Marble Pie and the family there. Then the episode goes with Pinkie her usual self of annoying the others and since Maud is her sister, normal to behave like that, there was nothing out of char. I never considered a ship b-n Starlight and Maud, never even thought they fit one another but I don't mind if that goes further. And ofc what is an episode without the favorite background Bon-Bon and even cuter Lyra in a cute expression of surprise! Important story part 2: I would have preferred the story what Starlight Glimmer was doing while planning her revenge before the Cutie Re-Mark rather than the story of replacing cutie marks with =, but that was awesome to see an answer revealed now, at least a bit of it. Then we see the usual caves with gems in Ponyville, not bad interaction between SG and Maud, they appear more sane than Pinkie (duh). I expected SG would come to save the two sisters from the cave dragon but either is fine. And then comes story part 3 - a new place in Ponyville unlocked! Likely to be seen in the future or two-parters. If Maud will be staying there, awesome place btw, so nicely made with the graphics, then consider it as new as Twilight's castle. who knows its importance may be?

Since this is a show for kids (is it still?), I can get that an episode with Flurry is good for them, also there needed to be some episode with her. However, this was way not my cup of tea kind of episodes. It had some funny moments, maybe the best was the say 'AAaa' that made me lol but the rest was just.. nothing much. I too was ok that for once the season did not start with a two parter but the first two episodes looked to me way more interesting. Good for Spike to shine up again a bit. It was an okay episode for me, so if 3rd vote was that instead of 'meh' I'd be that for once but again since I am more positive I just give it a 4/5 but it's more like 3.5. Not much I can say, it felt like the writers were just trying out their first episode (oh I just saw completely new writers). Many questions could be asked like why and how did Cadance and Shining Armor just dropped in without a notice and I am not sure if it felt like Twilight was learning something she was supposed to know already, I will leave that to the critics, I can't say if she mastered planning and organizing, I dont remember well but it does feel like she acted steps back in her development. Also, this is what a supermarket in Equestria looks like, nice.

S07:E01+02 - Celestial Advice/All Bottled Up
ImpctR replied to Ashen Pathfinder's topic in Season 7 Discussion
All Bottled Up Don't know how this episode ended up liked less than the first episode. This episode was so much more fun than the previous one! Firstly, I started liking Trixie more in 'To Where And Back Again' . Seeing her in this episode made me like her more and look she started using real magic! I don't know if that is right though, it was okay when she was just the illusionist. I thought not every unicorn pony had the potential to use spells, which is why Trixie was just imitating magic. But not anymore. I still wasn't sure, wasn't it Trixie who used the Invisibility spell in in 'To Where And Back Again' to hide from the changelings occupying Twi's castle? So like in some RPGs I thought she has the 'priest' spells or tricks, while Starlight has the more powerful wizard spells. But now it looks like she is also about to go the wizard way. I am not sure if good, it was better to have the different type of tricks no other had. Exciting to see her using spells. nonetheless. Also she seems very adept to already do a teleportation spell. Trixie acted like a jerk but im okay with that, some would call her out of character? She totally isn't imo, she does feel careless in other episodes too. Starlight did get angry like never before since her reformation but it was natural seeing all the things Trixie did wrong. That cloud of anger, though, weird. Found it funny when they were comparing Trixie saying 'if they could see me now' and Twilight saying the same, each of them not realizing what was going on. I find Starlight cute looking with this mane style, except for the cases she had bags under the eyes: Also red glowing eyes Granny Smith and Biceps, that looked scary for a little ones show. Overall nice episode showing more of SG and Trixie. I am still confused if Trixie should go the magical path, still, interesting. -
S07:E01+02 - Celestial Advice/All Bottled Up
ImpctR replied to Ashen Pathfinder's topic in Season 7 Discussion
Aaand back we are to MLP with the brand new Season 7 after past several months! Celestial Advice It's been 2 days after re-watching 'To Where and Back again' to make the connection with the previous season finale and so far, the continue is good! For the first time not a 2-parter with the start of the season. This is also why the episode felt less important (or it would have been had there been other plans about Starlight), and as such, not much to say about. It was a nice episode the goes on from where the previous one left, I would say 'okay episode'. For a starter, the animations, effects and overall expression seem to me better and better, having them best done with this new season. I like how nopony was there just to be filler for the audience but had some relevance to being at the celebration. Good to see Discord funny from time to time. The episode presented interesting interactions when SG was seen with the changelings or the dragons, they should have added the yaks instead of the changelings maybe or instead of the dragons. But hey a chance to see Princess Ember again. We saw some of the past about Celestia, her choice and how Twilight came to Ponyville. Now Celestia finally was more interactive than just a decoration unlike the previous 1-2 seasons. - Celestia was so acting like a royal person when she said 'Please go on' the next moment laughing, was that trollestia or molestia reference Inb4 someone says out of character. I thought SG would be sent somewhere, it felt like big worries in the end for nothing culminating. So okay. I'll comment another day on the second episode.
