Ah MCR, a mainstay of many a playlist of mine. They have plenty of songs, but I've picked one out in particular today. This song tells a story about 'the soldiers' and 'mother war' a family of five sons and one extremely spiteful mother. Mother war hates her sons and wishes that she had had daughters instead. Then the war starts (world war two) and the five brothers all decide to leave and go fight for their country. They tell their mum about it but she starts screaming at them and telling them that they're idiots and if they go then they should not bother coming back. So the brothers all leave and go to war. As the war rages on they continuously keep sending letters back to their mother telling her that they love her and that the war is bad etc. She refuses to write back to them. Eventually she replies telling them, to what we can only imagine is outright hatred, that she wants them to die...when they receive this letter they say, "fine, we hate you too. We don't have a mother anymore..." They have a massive party the night before they, and they're regiment, have to leave on a dangerous mission, and they sing-
"we all carry on, when our brothers in arms are gone so raise your glass high for tomorrow we die and return from the ashes you call."
When they go on the mission they all get killed.
(Originally Gerard had wanted machine gun fire going off in the background on the last verse of mama but they decide that it made the verse too distorted and left it out).
As they're dying they're all screaming out in agony for their mother. They want to see her again because they love her so much. Eventually they all stop screaming and die. When their mother receives the letter from the war office that all five of her sons have been killed she burst out into tears because she really did love them and never wanted them to go to war. That's the tradgedy of the whole thing. They now have no mother and mother war no longer has any sons.
An interesting piece if I ever heard one, but also very sad.
Hey all, remember how I said that the last two days my family had been really nice? Well that all changed today. Now they're all back to their horrible selves again. So today's song reflects that.
"Ready for the leaves, ready for the colors to burn to gold and fade away."
The leaves turning gold was the last two days, things going great before it all crumbles to dust and falls apart. And these lyrics:

This go out to my special somepony and all my friends. You're the one thing I can hold onto while everything goes to heck. So, I guess this song is a thank you for you guys for being the wonderful friends that you are. This is Damien, signing off.
It's been a while since I've made an entry huh? I've been busy, life can get that way. But more than busy, I've been feeling stressed out. You see, recently my special somepony and I confessed our feelings for each other, and that's not what I'm stressed about. It's the secret. My parents don't even know I have an account here, and if they found out they would kill me. But I can confide in my brother about that. But if I told him that I liked a guy... I don't know... And just the fact of keeping this secret, after only a few days, it's weighing me down. So that's the reason I picked this song:
Hello everypony, I figured that today I'd list all the songs and other things that inspired me to create my OC's. Starting with...
Damien Bolt.
Damien represents what I wish I was, and what I wish I wasn't. On one side of the coin, you have this selfless hero who's willing to lay down his life for those he cares about, and on the other, you have all of my hate, my rage, my frustrations. You can see that I wasn't in such a good situation when I made him.
Ahh Flash, he represents my more innocent side. He's cheerful, friendly, and usually a ton of fun to be with. But he tends to be self centered, greedy, and when something is bothering him, he lets it show.

Acrylic, he represents my creativity. But also my depression, I was having quite the awful day when the idea for him came to me.
My creativity, the part if me that just loves to make things. Like try and animate, build with legos, and program.

I know what you're thinking, "How can she represent part of you when she's a girl!" Well, her original idea came when I listened to Silent Scream, by Anna Blue. It just conveyed so many emotions... Some of which I could relate to, I felt compelled to make her.
Last and certainly not least, is Lupus. I don't quite know all of the things that inspired me to create him, but one of them was my doubt. And the part of me that usually wants to be left alone. He - like me - almost always keeps his feelings of sadness and self loathing on the inside. And puts on a smile for everyone else so they won't worry.

Right now I'm working on an OC that takes all of these things and puts them together into one pony, a pony who truly represents who I am. It's taken a while but I'm positive it'll be worth it.
Hello everypony, today, starting a new blog, I will be telling you about my time at SSRLV. (Schope Scout Reservation at Lost Valley) There were various things to do, such as:
Horseback riding (the Horsemanship Merit Badge),
Archery,
ATVs,
Moviemaking,
And much more.
For the most part, it was great. I had fun, earned three Merit Badges, and had an all around good time. But, even at camp, my family is still horrible. My brother and dad were still ridiculously mean to me, and when I messed up one tiny thing, my dad called my mom and blew it way out of proportion. So instead of a 'Welcome home' from my mom, I got yelled at for things that didn't even happen like she said they did. So I was in tears in the shower wishing I'd never come home. But there is some good news, next year I'll be at camp, without my family, working there. And you know what? They have WiFi for the staff. Which means that I'll be able to communicate with you guys while I'm there. It's a win win.
