I honestly don't get their searching system, be it by filtering (which is where you parse stories by character(s) and genres, or the really crappy Google search. As a web designer/programmer I would never put my users through such a boring, ineffective (for a content-driven site like that), and--I'm going to say it--lazy way to add a "search" function to the site. Before I had an account I had to bookmark my favorite stories the old fashioned way just to make sure I found them. :l They could just use something like Sphider, hack it up to their needs, hell they can even combine the filter and search and it would be incredibly effective. You try that now and you almost get 0 results. As a reader there are a lot of additional variables I wish they had, like "age" or something, I dislike stories where "lol the cmc r in high school now n ther teenagers n stuff", I'd also like to weed out the ones that get poor up/downvote ratios, (ironic considering last time I checked, my story would be one of the ones I wouldn't see as a result). /end rant.

No scootabuse, none of that. Apple Bloom has a bit of a scuffle with A.J but nothing sexual or otherwise and it is very brief and has a bittersweet resolution.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with Stefan Molyneux or Ludwig Von Mesis, however the Non Aggression Principle is the core pillar of the anarcho-capitalist school of thought, which I adhere to. The NAP implies that all unnecessary and immoral aggression is inherently wrong and a violation of first principles (e.g natural rights). There is no practical way true free market anarchy can exist in our lifetime, or even our children's sadly, government indoctrination, and a worldwide case of Stockholm syndrome is going to make it a rather steep philosophical hill for those of us who want freedom. All we can do now is plant the seeds for enlightenment and permutate the message of non-aggression by applying it to our own lives, raising our children through the NAP, and living as detached from the state as practical as possible. TL;DR: Set an example. As a former progressive democrat thought I can tell you first-hand, it is going to be a hell of a journey opening the minds of all these entitled people who simply want to wave guns around and throw debt onto miserable children for their own gains. (Looking at you public education and public sector unions) Anyway, in a pony context, Equestria exists under what appears to be a representative monarchy, not ideal but as some of use on Google+ were musing, it could be somewhat more efficient than the constitutional republic we have in the USSA, you have the throne as the pinnacle of all problems, you have someone to blame and hold accountable assuming that is permitted. I one day hope for a world with no government, however we will never see it; with our current society it simply cannot be done. If we were to switch overnight from established governmental regimes to anarchy it would be a disaster of unimaginable proportions.

Anyone who is a regular visitor to FimFiction may have noticed my fanfic Friendship Is Caustic appear a few days ago. Since that initial day it hasn't gotten much traffic....or much of anything. I figured posting it here might help give it a little boost. So, here it is. Synopsis: Upon discovering some revealing and disturbing history regarding Celestia's ascent to power, Twilight stitches together a band of friends to liberate Equestria from a millennium of tyranny and oppression. The Cutie Mark Crusaders learn some tough lessons about family, morality, and that questioning the status quo isn't always a negative thing. Some other notes: This is not a clopfic, scootabuse, filly shipping, it also isn't set "in the future". Enjoy, and if you have a finfiction account, please please pleeeaassse comment, upvote, and all that grand stuff. Thanks in advance!

I can't stand G1-G3, Heck I didn't even know there was an MLP TV show of any kind until I found FIM back in early 2011 so there's that. My Little Pony wasn't even something I thought about beyond those annoying commercials on TV up until FIM, I have yet to meet any "kids" in my family who watch MLP (It's all Disney Channel and whatnot) I'd say there is definitly a splt between the target demographic who is likely too young and not savvy enough to fully know there is an adult fanbase out there. I would say the "collector" bunch who stick to G1-G2 primarily are in it for the nostalgic benefit rather than anything of substance, I'd also say G4 bronies are a breed of their own, the remix culture, the involvment in the show, the commitment, I actually go into this a bit in a Google+ (PG-13) post: I think there are overlaps evrywhere but yeah there are 3 seperate factions if you will.

Most likely late fall or winter. Most TV shows like this are produced months prior to airing, or some like South Park and other digitally based shows are produced within a matter or mere days. given the animation, as an animator myself and soemone who has met and spoken with people who do it for hobby, and with some insight into how it works in "the industry" if they are saying S3 is currently in production, the first episode at the LATEST will be late fall this year unless they want to finish all of the episodes firts, which sound inefficient. They have at least two studios working on several episodes at once and so...... TL;DR: Late fall or winter.

How powerful is Twilight Sparkle?
William replied to Thewookie Wooker's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I'd have to agree with the general idea that Twilight, while indeed at the top of her class, is in a low grade (of power) compared to even here brother and caidence (sp?) Oddly enough this question has been racking around my head for awhile now, I'm fleshing out a screenplay for my upcoming feature length fan film and....yeah this is something I'd like to quantify so I know what to work with, I'd have to say based on what we've seen, she isn't ever going to be on the fringe of being comperable to Celstia or even Nightmare Moon or Luna, I would say though that among the "normal" unicorns, she is up there; why with, as many have pointed out, being the princesse's student, and with her massive resources of knowledge, she is a force to behold. Not mighty, not supreme, but definatley something that can't be ignored. -
Alright so, if you woukd;ve told me two years ago I;d be writing a welcome post on anything pertaining to My Little Pony, I would've called you crazy, but of course, here we are. Might as well flesh out the good stuff and leave the rest for later. I am a web developer/designer, budding animator, writer of both fiction and political op-eds, and an unemployed 20-something renting from his mother and father-in-law. Recepie for sucess right? Alright, here's some pony facts: Favorite Pony: Twilight f--king Sparkle. 2nd favorite pony: Rainbow Dash & Pinkie Pie (tie?) Least favorite character: Rarity or Applejack. Favorite Episode(s): Yikes, uh...."Owl's well that ends well", "Canterlot wedding 1 & 2", "Pilot (Freindship is magic 1 and 2", "Lesson Zero", and we'll also say "It's about time". How I watch the show: YouTube. Comcrap and Charter both lock The Hub to some pie in the sky package we don't need so...I get my pony form the internet. I own both season 1 and season 2 in HD thanks to iTunes and their inflated prices. How'd you become a brony? To keep a long story short, I was reading about Luaren Faust on Wikipedia while looking up Foster's Home or Imagionary Friends -another show I liked- and somehow I read about her then upcoming My Little Pony series. I initially thought it would be some puffball corporate consumerist trash with bad animation, gaudy writing and no substance....I was wrong watching the first episode on premiere day...hooked ever since. One thing I dislkike about MLP?: If there is one thing I hate about MLP, it's this. They have a princess, a monarchy, they bow, show subservience and worship her. As an anarchist, things like this bother me. Now obviously Hasbro doesn't have some conspiratorial agenda, what frilly show would be complete without princesses and royally and shit? I just see it as a message to people that absolute power is legitimate, for a show that preaches friendship, non-aggression, and what appears to be a gold-based society, they forgot one huge part....anarchy. Oh well, still ove the show regardless. _________________ Alright. There. My hands are cramped. Questions? I hope not. I'm on Google+ and deviantART. Geel free to circle/watch me.

Looking for some Spike animations
William replied to William's topic in Trixie's Tricks (Other Resources)
First off, thank you for the reply, and that is in the ballpark of what I'm looking for. but not quite. I examined the file and yeah it's just tthis artit's custom version. The ponies, props, and scenes I have are in their original Hasbro form and style. These files contain walking, all the mouth poses, custom apparel, parts, etc. I'm looking for something like this, but for Spike, and I combed dA like you would not believe, #MLP Vectors Club, the groups I'm on, no luck. -

Good free music sequency type program?
William replied to letterone's topic in Vinyl's Creative Resources
LMMS. It says "Linux" in the title but is WIndows-compatable. It runs alot like FLStudio...with a few minor differences. -
Alright, first time poster, I need the help of the wider pony community. I am working on a animated feature, and have all the mane six ponies and their poses, walk cycles, etc. However, I cannot find Spike....anywhere. When I search for SPke builds or swef files, I get clop and that is unpleasant. What I am looking for is a swf or better yet, FLA file (for Flash Pro) that contains Spike and at least a walking animation, the rest I can rig myself. Thanks in advance for the help! :3
