  1. My OTHER favorite show, Bob's Burgers, which is a fairly major show on FOX (usually gets two million viewers per episode), still hasn't gotten Blu-ray releases even now as it's wrapping up its seventh season. For both that show and MLP I just buy the HD downloads of every episode on iTunes, usually available the day after they air. I would love Blu-ray releases of both shows and would buy them up in a heartbeat even though I have both series in their entirety on iTunes but it seems to me that some shows just don't get Blu-rays. In the case of either show I expect a Blu-ray box set to show up some time after the series ends, though.
  2. My first piece of pony merch was the fully-colored Funko blind box figure of Discord. I bought it back in early 2016 (got into MLP in September 2015). At the time my parents didn't know I was into ponies and I thought they'd be weird about it, but I bought the figure anyway because I got a good deal on it and I was (and, for the record, still am) a fan of Discord. When it showed up in the mail I wussed out and threw it in a drawer waiting for the day that I would tell my parents I was into ponies. That day came several months ago and now that Discord figure sits on top of one of my speakers on my desk, part of what is a fairly large collection of pony merch covering most of the free space on my desk.
  3. I bought the Applejack and Pinkie Pie Playskool plushes today at a dollar store. I almost passed them up, but then I was like, "how often do you see ponies at the dollar store?" so I grabbed 'em. They're adorable and look great in my collection. I even kept the tags on them because I thought the pictures of li'l AJ and Pinkie were too cute to throw away.
  4. Yeah, I'd rather get it legitimately. I like to financially support the show whenever I can. Still, thanks for the suggestion.
  5. Hey everyone. Normally new episodes of MLP go live on iTunes in the early morning of the day after they air on Discovery Family. When I wake up in the morning the day after they air I always go and buy the new episode but it's Wednesday now and "Rock Solid Friendship" is nowhere to be seen. The only place I know of for buying shows as they air that's like iTunes is Amazon and it's not there either. I've still got the episode on my DVR from when it aired on Discovery Family but I'd love to have a copy on my computer, to go with the rest of the series. Does anyone know what's up? Thanks in advance for your responses.
  6. I'm glad everyone seems to be enjoying the art I made! I haven't made any art in a long time, but yesterday I slapped together a new one: The Sex Pistols - Flogging a Dead Horse Rarity vector by LcPsycho on DeviantArt. DeviantArt link: http://j-115.deviantart.com/art/Six-Pistols-Flogging-a-Dead-Pony-666154687?ga_submit_new=10%3A1488236548 EDIT: I went ahead and made another one. Public Image Limited - 9 Twilight vector by HankOfficer on DeviantArt. DeviantArt link: http://j-115.deviantart.com/art/Pony-Image-Ltd-6-666167140?ga_submit_new=10%3A1488240739&ga_type=edit&ga_changes=1&ga_recent=1 A note about this one: the image embedded here on the forum is more recent than the one uploaded to DeviantArt. It has a tiny error corrected that the DeviantArt one does not.
  7. Here's my collection, so far... I posted here around a year ago saying that I wanted to build up a big collection but my parents didn't know I watched the show. Well, they know now, and they're cool with it. I ordered the Princess Celestia Funko full-size figure a day or two ago and I'm planning on ordering Luna soon. For those of you wondering why my keyboard isn't from this millennium, I used to have a really nice modern keyboard and it crapped out on me. I found this one for three bucks at a thrift store, and it's surprisingly nice (fully mechanical)!
  8. Thanks for your reply! Here are the rest. I made one more after I posted this thread so there's an extra one in this batch. 7. 9. Hello everyone. Just over a week ago I found a copy of Photoshop Elements 9 that I'd bought for cheap at a thrift store some months ago and forgot about. Upon finding it again I installed it on my computer and started figuring the program out. I've actually had some (admittedly dumb) ideas for pony fan art for some time now and I figured that if I was going to do anything productive with Photoshop, I would put those together to the best of my limited ability. More than a week later, I've created twelve pictures (all of varying quality) which is far more than I had initially planned for. As I got into making these I started having ideas for more and I kept on going. I'm about out of ideas now, but I suppose I'll update this post if I ever make any more. They're all ponified album art. If there was an album that I was familiar with that I thought I could make a pony version of, I made it. Anyway, let's get into actually sharing the pictures. I'm going to list these in order from my personal favorite to least favorite. All of my pictures can be downloaded on their DeviantArt pages (links have been provided). They're almost all 1080x1080 so they would work fairly well as desktop backgrounds. All credited vector artists' usernames are for DeviantArt. 1. When they do I may be able to post the rest in a reply.
  10. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: I typed "brony community" into my search engine of choice and this popped up. Looks like I found what I was looking for. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I'll get this out of the way right away: I was an anti-brony for five years. I was never very vocal or passionate about the whole thing, mind, but I was firmly in the school of thought that grown men watching My Little Pony was strange and confusing and I didn't like it. That was until September of 2015, when I decided that to justify my stance as an anti-brony I had to actually watch the show and decide specifically what I didn't like about it. Lo and behold, by the end of the first few episodes I not only had no complaints, I had an urge to watch more. YEARS of opposition overturned by a few short episodes. Funny how that works. I'm nineteen years old and a high school graduate, but that's about all I can say. If high school was hell, post-graduate life must be limbo. I have absolutely nothing going on in my life, unless you count monthly trips to the psychiatrist's office and the occasional bit of therapy. I'm hoping that joining this forum will give me something to do with my ample spare time. Things you should know about me: I have Asperger's and social anxiety, so if I seem a bit "off" that's why.
  11. The Blu-rays only look bootleg. The first two seasons were imported from Germany and the rest are custom-made using recordable Blu-ray discs and the lossless 1080p episode files from iTunes, which I paid full price for (they weren't cheap, either). Also Discord. What's not visible are the files of the ENTIRE series (including season six!) that I have on my hard drive, loaded into Plex Media Server so I can stream them on my tablet anywhere I go. I would have a LOT more pony merchandise but my parents don't know I like the show. If that ever changes I'll stock up on horses.
  12. They don't know. Part of me wants to tell them, just to see what happens. All I know is that they won't like it. Whether they would dislike it to the point of doing anything about it is up in the air. What I do know is that the fallout ought to be supremely entertaining to watch no matter how it plays out, especially considering that they think I'm a perfectly "normal" person with "normal" interests, but if they're too hostile I would be too busy picking up the pieces of my shattered social standing to enjoy the spectacle. All of that said, I would love to start collecting merch so I may end up telling them one day.
