I think the new icons are a very welcome visual addition to the forums, they're colorful, unique, and are to-the-point about each section, contribute to user-friendliness altogether. Very well done, Silver and CD. :3 As for EQTV, I'm ecstatic to go full throttle on it, it's something we've needed to do for a while, and now's the time to fully focus on it, it's for the best. I hope everyone understands, EQTV 2.0 is something we've been working on for quite a while, and now's the time we have the most dedicated developers to make sure that it stands tall as a significant branch in the Poniverse network. It's great to have you on the team, Discordian!

I'm kind of thinking that last bit at the end of the S3 finale was a plot device, and nothing else, they wanted something fancy for the end of the episode/season, I try to pretend it didn't happen. It's somewhat breaking the fourth wall too. Or, if you want to try and be realistic about it, here's this. Alicorns that get their wings later on in life can fully use them for a few days, but say a month or so, lose all ability and have to learn to properly fly/use them again.- 8 replies

Well, on Synchtube, you could have user avatars, they just wouldn't show up in the chat. And avatars in chats take up space as well. As much as I like them for more instant recognition and user uniqueness, we need to make sure we have as much room as everything possible, without cramming stuff in all over. As fir Synchtube itself, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but Synchtube closed down fully early in March.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting it at all. I remember seeing the early artwork for the movie with the human/pony mane 6, and I was like "bleh". As we saw the trailer with the 100% human character designs, I was sure we weren't going to see anything like the above image. I was surprised to see the transformation. At first when I saw them transforming, I thought they were going to turn to full-on ponies, but I realized the resemblance with the early development art. The main difference is their lack of the cutie marks on the cheeks. Initially, it does seem kind of pointless, considering it wasn't that much of a difference. But yeah, it's more representative of the school mascot, so I think it makes sense. As for the dolls... *ahem* ...I think I'll just stick with calling them just ammunition for the war against Mattel.- 7 replies

Why is Encyclopedia Dramatica obsessed with us?

Enyclopedia Dramatica is like Wikipedia and 4chan's baby. It's purpose is parodical satire, mixed with trending internet culture. And of course, when you're going to talk about internet culture, you're going to eventually have to talk about ponies. The fact that the website is satirical makes it even more prone to content about ponies and the pony fandom. -

As good friends of @Artemis and @Apple Bloom, I could not be happier right now. Those two are some of the greatest people I have met in my life as a part of this amazing community, and their work and dedication to Poniverse and the forums, along with their willing to do good shines brighter than the sun. And so does my respect for them, they are some of the best people you will ever meet. As for Apple Bloom, I cannot agree more that he is under-appreciated. He is one of the most dedicated members of the fandom, as far as I know, and his burning passion transitions to being a very good Poniverse staff member. It has been long overdue he got the position, and I am so glad it finally happened. Congratulations, AB, and I wish you luck in your future as an admin! Artemis is one of the most fun, interesting and intelligent people I've met over the Internet, and has become one of my best friends. I've seen him climb the moderation ladder with ease, his capability as a staff member is unmatched. And now I am proud to see him at the peak, where he can put his talent to the absolute best use, and I look forward to see you strive as an admin, the very much same for Apple Bloom. I love both you guys, and could not be more happy with being your friend. It's incredible to see how far you both have come. I applaud you, and wish you and everyone else luck with their new positions.

What species would you be if you went to Equestria?

Pony, of course. I'd want to fit in with the common people, and ponies are the master race of the earth, as far as I know. More specifically, a pegasus. I'd be an alicorn if it weren't so Mary Sue-ish and rare. Pegasi fly, for one thing, I'd love to do that. As for carrying stuff around, unicorns already never have to worry about something like that, and some ponies can hold things as if their hooves have magnets, so I could get used to that, too. -
I'm 17 today!
