We can't change the past. We can only learn from it. It has spurred a lot of good fiction. I know of two creepypastas that cover it. Its quite chilling but I don't think we'll find any giant mutant creatures there. On the flip side, isn't it starting to become more habitable? It may even get to that point in our lifetimes
