  1. Dusk Rose had to get to the inn. That was all that raced through her mind. Get to the inn. When she was confident that she had put enough distance between herself and the immediate crowd of witnesses, she reduced her gallop to something between a canter and a trot. Having regained her focus, no thoughts that didn't have to do with navigating the hustle and bustle and getting into the inn crossed her mind as she stuck to the shadows. There would be time for that sort of thing later, maybe even after she had a look around the room.
  2. @@Ranger22, (OOC: The hat is actually dark grey, she just lowered it with her magic, which is yellow. My apologies for the confusion.) The inn was up ahead. The various merchants were selling things that looked enticing, but she figured she would have enough time to look around after getting into her mother's inn room.Unfortunately for Dusk Rose, the griffin was only the start of a big knot of folks. It was so tight that she came to a complete stop. "Hey girlie!" She whipped her head around. Oh, him. She forgot about him. Wasn't he with some other mare? "What?" "Damn, for a lady in a dry hellhole, you sure walk fast! But you didn't answer my question! Who are you?" he said rather slowly and incoherently. He swayed back and forth, clearly close to collapsing from so much alcohol. "Like I said, nobody. Just an artist," she replied in a matter-of-fact tone, though her irritation was starting to show. "Oh come on, don't be shy. We can have a great time, just you and me. Just tell me your name." "Are you deaf? I said no. I said no in the tavern and my answer won't change." "I can only hear yes." "I have somewhere to be, so I can't." "Come on girlie, let's-" He put his foreleg around her shoulders, trying to steer her the other direction. Then, he saw only darkness, the force of Dusk's elbow strike to the head knocking him out. She was left looking down at him, very surprised, before she started hurrying off before she attracted more attention.
  3. So... why are you in my bed? And by the gods, those eyes... O///O
  4. "Hey girlie, what might you be?" "..." "Oh, playin' the quiet game, girlie?" Dusk Rose faced straight ahead, trying to avoid head-on collisions with the folks bustling about and ignore the calls of the drunkard. Her hat shimmered a yellow color as she lowered it some with her magic, thinking to herself that it was going to be as concealing as walking around in a bush costume, especially considering she was a new arrival in a rather homogenous town. Still though, she figured it could send the message that she didn't want to talk at that moment. "Hey! Why leave so soon?!" Besides, she had bigger things to worry about. If what the bartender at the tavern said was true, her mother had been there at least a week ago. Apparently, she inquired about what laid east of the town, in the mountains. And if the letters were anything to go by, many had come and gone asking the same sort of questions she had asked the bartender. And- @@Ranger22, Her train of thought was stopped as she accidentally bumped shoulders with a griffin. She found the sight of him surprising, since she didn't quite expect a griffin out here. Still though, she simply said a small sorry to him as she kept walking, the drunkard's yells following her.
  5. @@Your Nightly Spectre, Made some changes to the character description. I've read the recap you posted above, but how can I jump in?
  6. I'm interested in joining. I don't know anything about this setting, so let's hope for the best. Dusk Rose Link: https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/dusk-rose-r9727 Class: The Artist Description: She's a private investigator who had come to Pandora following the trail of her missing mother. She wears a vest and a long-sleeved shirt that hides a dagger and a handgun. Also in her possession is a journal that's written in code. Special Ability: Invisibility. It's a spell that works best in darkness, since it doesn't take away her shadow.
  7. I realized my own mortality when I was very young. I cried about it at first, but I quickly moved on. Now that I'm older, I'm more concerned with the quality of my life, as I grew up around sayings like,"There are fates worse than death" and "He greeted Death like an old friend." Now, a song I really like says,"One day you'll leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember." We are but sand and ashes in the wind. In the meantime though, make that stuff into colorful glass that shame the sun.
  8. It has happened to me before, with myself in both positions as yourself and the girl. It's just awkwardness, at least from what I can discern from the text.
  9. Sincere compliments about something I know I did well, especially my art. I love accolades, but they feel hollow if I feel I don't deserve it.
  10. *You have been disconnected from the Internet* Crap! Welp, time to draw.
  11. Perhaps her voice raises a little when irritated or worried, but it generally doesn't get to shouting levels. In fact, if one gets her thoroughly angry, one might WISH she was shouting.
  12. English, history, and art. Same?
  13. This Thai restaurant I go to every Friday evening. The same old orange juice with a plate of stir-fry, mild with chicken. So lovely after the masters are done torturing us.
  14. A flash game that counts the number of times you can slap Joffrey from Game of Thrones. Same?
  15. Perhaps Okami? It's quite the beautiful game. Same, but with AJ?
  16. I don't know, Ori and the Blind Forest? Same question, but with Fluttershy.
  17. A purple dress that's floor-length and flowey. I'd wear my blue bracelet as I always do, and one of my silver necklaces. I'd just wear my hair with some of it tied back and touched up with silver pins. Same?
  18. If you want. Describe your outfit for the Grand Galloping Gala.
  19. I like darker pinks, but I'd choose purple or blue over pink if given the choice. Does anyone know why pink widely used to be regarded as a manly color?
  20. It would make one of my OC's magic go awry when attempting to use it. Her magic is drawing-based conjuration, which means she would draw a wolf, cast a spell on it to make a hologram of a wolf, and the wolf would instead come out a jumbled mess of scribbles.
  21. Chicken and cheese. Or ice cream. Same?
