My life feels like a Joke ( Situation Update )
Depressed Flutterguy commented on Moony the Cat's blog entry in Dune_Gosbil's Blog
That sucks dude. I'm sorry to hear you're going through that. I agree with what Maple Bat said about suicide, that it won't fix anything. But I know what it's like to want to do it. I'm sure there's something worth living for, that there's something you're meant to do or be. I'm still trying to figure that out for myself to be honest. You mentioned you feel lost. I feel that way sometimes, too. I don't know what to say that would help, I just hope you hang in there.- 11 comments

Hi! I'm a British Brony/Pegasister.
Depressed Flutterguy replied to Kalani.'s topic in Welcome Plaza
Hi! What's it like being British? That might sound like a stupid question, but I live in America, and being British sounds so cool! The accents, the locations, you guys have Simon Cowell and great shows like Keeping Up Appearances, and those guards who stand near places and don't move or talk. If I had to describe what it was like for me living in America, I'd say... it's like keeping up with the Jones's. A lot of people here (including me) are very focused on being "successful" (whatever that means) by making a lot of money. -
Has MLP influenced the way you dress?

Same here. Couldn't have said it better myself. Yeah, I agree. I don't know what the other person is going through, and there's enough pain and anger in the world that I try not to add to it.

Anyone 30+ years and without a girlfriend?
Depressed Flutterguy replied to zerox's topic in General Discussion
I'm 27 and no gf. The last one I had was CRAZY! Literally: she had severe depression (that's not the crazy part, I struggle with depression too) but didn't "believe" in medication. She'd use therapy rocks (like, a rock bracelet she probably got from Maud), oils, things like that. That's fine, but she wouldn't see a doctor until she had a mental breakdown. She was also manipulative and would often lie to me. Needless to say, I broke up with her over a year ago. I should have done it sooner, but I thought could make it work. I would like a gf, but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. And that's okay. I'm working on earning money and enjoying the friends and family I have in my life right now. -
Honestly, watching My Little Pony: FIM cheers me up the most. It's just so funny and clever! There aren't crude jokes like in most other shows/cartoons, FIM is smarter than that. Well, getting off work cheers me up, too.

I'm working on going back. I'm working with some LDS missionaries to get over some issues I've had with religion in the past. For me, I think church is valuable, but I get anxiety when I go.

Anyone Notice Tara Strong Is Very Political?
Depressed Flutterguy replied to GXPBlast's topic in General Discussion
Dude, that sucks. Do you think about how she blocked you whenever you watch an episode? That's too bad she got into an argument with you. -
Well, this past weekend I've had the stomach flu and a fever . So in my dream, the cops came over to my house, and my fever was so bad, i begged them to pull out their guns and put me out of my misery. Being sick is awful. I thought i was dying. Dream within a dream...... Inception!

That's a great reason! ^-^ works for me.

Hi! That's awesome you're name's a Skyrim reference! There's also an Elf you fight in the Oblivion arena who's daggers name is "Shimmer Strike." Does your name have anything to do with that? Also, my Gamertag on Xbox is "Cyniclese" (big surprise, I know). If you, or anyone reading this, want to add me, please do! Also, 3DS Friend Code is.... hang on. Gotta check. 2466-6880-5657 Multiplayer games I play on 3DS: Fire Emblem Fates, Smash, Star Fox 64, Bomberman, Fantasy Life..... there's more but I don't want to list them all. Anyways, welcome!

Thanks for reading! Nice! I don't have the plushes, but I've got a Vinyl Collectable of Derpy (pre-censored). That's cool you've got one of Luna. She's a good character. I was also wondering why others were still Bronies, but it was 4am when I wrote about the topic, and I forgot to ask. So, I wanted to ask, despite feeling awkward at times, why are you still a Brony? And I still feel awkward at times too, but my conviction is stronger than those feelings. It almost sounds like a religion when talking about conviction, but it's true: I've had too many good experiences from the show and the community to let feeling uncomfortable (at times) stop me from being a Brony. I worked at a call center a while back. There was a guy who had a booming voice, a beard, and a desk covered with pony stuff. If asked about himself, even in staff meetings, he'd tell everyone he was a Brony. I've always respected him for that. We became friends cause of our common ground with MLP.

My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Fluttershy How did you find MLP Forums?: I just searched "MLP Forums" online. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Netflix. My name's Alex and I'm a 27 year old guy from Salt Lake City, Utah. I'd like to talk about why I'm still a Brony and what being a Brony means to me. I started watching MLP back in 2013 when a good friend started talking about the show. At first I teased him about it. "Ponies?" I'd say. "Really?" Then he'd say, "Yeah. Really." We were both in our 20's and I thought liking MLP was embarrassing and a little childish. Then I was home alone with Netflix. I saw MLP on the list. "No one will know that I watched MLP," I thought, "I might watch one episode to see what this is about." Over time, it grew on me. I'm still a Brony for a few reasons. 1. The show makes me laugh. The writing is so cheesy sometimes but that's what I like about it (I.e. Nightmare Moon saying "You foals!" instead of "Fools!" in Ep. 1). Puns are awesome. 2. The community and show helps me be social. I'm aware there are aspects of our community that are frowned upon by others: Pictures on the internet depicting our favorite characters doing base and awful things; the media who laughs at all the 20-somethings who enjoy a show about ponies; Brony cringe videos on YouTube. I even saw a petition on Change.org to cancel FIM. But despite all the "nay" sayers, there's so much GOOD that comes from our community: I was able to reconnect to a High School friend, feel welcome at my first Comic Con, spend time with nieces and nephews, and laugh myself to tears while watching MLP with family and friends, all because of our community. I really appreciate the respect that you all show for each other. Even here in the forums, it's great to have a place online where I can have thoughts and not be attacked or bullied. 3. The show gets better over time. 4. Ponies are super cute. Seriously, the animation and collectibles are great. To me, being a Brony means trying to be a good person. Saying hi to people, smiling, having respect. Being civil online. It reminds me of who I am and who I really want to be. The show and the community help me be a better person. That's ultimately why I'm still a Brony in 2017 and for the rest of my life.

Welcome dude! I don't know anything about cosplay. Sorry 'bout that. I think it's awesome that you're making a Derpy based costume, though. As Vigo says in John Wick, "Good luck." With your cosplay, I mean.
