  1. The difference between a winner and a loser at E3: Microsoft ("Loser"): "Here's some new tech! Let's talk about why our games for the next year are going to be great! Have you ever wanted to eat a banana without removing its peel? You can do that in one of our games!" Sony ("Winner"): "Here are some games we've been making. Gib money."
  2. I'll probably stick with PC gaming even after this E3 conference. However, if Sony has something to offer I may consider getting back into the console gaming scene.
  3. I smoked six years ago. I kicked the addiction over a period of 6 months. Not worth the hassle for me, as it never relieved me of stress. It only put a strain on my health (and my wallet).
  4. I Googled "mlp message boards." This was at the top of the list. Sorry. I don't have an interesting tale to tell.
  5. Favorite SCPs (by ranking): 1. SCP-426: I am a toaster. As @Torrent505 has already stated, I am always referred to or discussed in the first person. Researchers have attempted to understand my peculiar nature, but they have yet to find an explanation for this phenomenon. 2. SCP-2107: A consumable, clear liquid named "Diet Ghost." Anybody who drinks it comes under the impression that they are being haunted by spirits or ghosts. Trials showed that anomalies were picked up with recording equipment, which gives credence to the possibility that it really does induce paranormal activity. The can even has phrases such as "SCARE YOUR THIRST!" and "MADE WITH NATURAL GHOSTS!" printed on it. 3. SCP-826: A pair of bookends that, when it has a book, DVD, or other form of media placed between the two, transforms the room into the setting of the book or film in question. SCP-826 will relocate along with the item into another part of the book/film's setting and the person who placed the item between the SCP-826 within this new setting or world has to find both of them. If they fail to find them, take the book/film and exit the room in which they are found before the plot of the book or film ends, SCP-826 resets the plot and the person becomes a background character in the story who has no recollection of their previous life. It was once used to try to exterminate the infamous SCP-682, but it failed with humorous results. 4. SCP-1682: A giant tapeworm that lives in the Sun. I just like it because of how Lovecraftian it sounds.
  6. Hot fudge, or peanut butter. Otherwise, I prefer to have just the ice cream itself.
  7. A kid stabbed me with the sharp end of his metal protractor in 6th grade near the end of that school year. I had to get that stitched up. I think he was expelled for being a problem, and I haven't seen him since then. My parents transferred me to a private school that I stayed in even through high school. The place was a hole anyway.
  8. I'm not religious in any way, shape, or form. People can believe in whatever they want, but I'm a nonbeliever and have been for quite some time.
  9. Yes. Every year, I see someone dress up. So there are people who celebrate it. Used to love it, but now it's just another day on the calendar for me. I'm not one who dresses up for parties, and I never get trick-or-treaters in my neck of the woods.
  10. I always assumed that dating was about testing the waters with specific people. If you end up truly loving someone, and they reciprocate these feelings, then the desire for (legally recognized) companionship should come naturally.
  11. Looking back on previous statements I've made, I suspect that Blade Runner 2049 is more likely to flop now than I thought back in April or early May. And don't remind me of Alien: Covenant---as a long time fan of that franchise, I felt like I was slapped with a "sucker" label when I left the theater. It had a lot to do with the film's reception, which is that it felt more like a slasher film than a smart science fiction horror epic, which it was marketed as. Anyway, I don't expect the film to flop outright, but I do expect a gross of less than $70 million. Depending on the film's budget (which really shouldn't be that much), that could be a good or bad thing. A key variable in play is that October is a pretty slow month (but not nearly as slow as September). It's where a lot of studios put their low budget horror movies and prestige films; Gravity comes to mind. The only advantage that it has in October is that the movie will be the only family-friendly genre film in that month this year. A downside to this is that the daily totals will suffer because regardless of how many bronies are in the fandom, this is still going to be aimed at children. And as we've all known since we were kids, the heat of the school season is in the Fall. Anything could happen, but I'm sticking to the cautious side and saying that it will make a modest profit for Hasbro at best.
  12. I think it would come out in January at the earliest point and February at the latest. But then again, as you said it took Fox a little over two months to slap together a good quality Blu-Ray/DVD for Logan. Maybe because it's a 2D animated film the process to get it out on home video won't take nearly as long as it would for a typical film. Power Rangers is also getting a Blu-Ray release on June 27th too. We'll have to wait and see what Lionsgate/Hasbro want to do.
  13. Finally saw Alien: Covenant. Sad to say it's the most disappointing theatrical release of 2017 so far, at least for me. I'm saying this as a huge fan of the Alien franchise. Ridley Scott has lost his touch...
  14. I think the concept of a "wasted life" is an absurd one, and an inherently human concept (one that is ultimately meaningless). But that's a different discussion entirely. When I am partaking in photography and film making, I am in my happy place. I suppose that's the closest answer I can give to answer the question.
  15. Then Hasbro could be taking a big gamble depending on how much money they spend for the marketing (probably not likely though, since they're such a giant in the toy industry). I hope the toy sales make up the difference.
  16. Hasbro isn't distributing this. Lionsgate is. Also, Transformers has Paramount---a much bigger studio---backing the property. And with the slouching crawl of promotion Lionsgate had for Power Rangers, there's no reason to suspect this round won't be any different.
  17. I wouldn't know because my hair does not grow very much.
  18. This guy. He is the Crypt Keeper, the host of the original Tales from the Crypt television series. I know he doesn't look like much, but in the eyes of 2-3 year old me he was one of the scariest characters to ever haunt my dreams. I'd have nightmares of this guy like nobody's business. Of course, now I love him (corny puns always seem to make me laugh). But back then? He was one of the scariest fictional characters I had the misfortune of knowing about. His appearance, his eyes, his voice..... his laugh. He scared the hell out of me. And I would RUN OUT of the room whenever I saw this come up on the television screen:
  19. I agree with the bold segments of your post. I am never going to claim a video game of any kind as "the greatest of all time," but there are countless games that I find receive too much praise. Undertale fits this description nicely. However, I can understand the limits of customization, and I did find the characters as well as the writing to be competent, if somewhat quirky. My biggest criticism of the game involves the amount of exposition that it takes. What I found amazing about Undertale was that it took its and drove them home. Also, I SUCK at bullet hell games. I have to give it credit for making me bother to beat it multiple times, despite blending a genre that I despise with one that I feel is so-so (turn-based RPGs). It has more bright spots than blemishes.
  20. I've been listening to Morbid Angel's first album Altars of Madness (1989) for the past week or so. I'm going to be seeing these guys in Pittsburgh on May 31st!
  21. A glass of mimosa. I'm feeling pretty good right now.
  22. Learning about the best preserved fossil known to man. It's an incredible find.
  23. I was in the hospital a lot as a kid due to a sickness I won't mention. Things are better now, but I developed a deep-seated fear and hatred of hospitals and their employees. As stupid as it sounds, the sanitary, "clean" feeling in the hospital is something that still sickens me because of what it reminds me of. It didn't help that there were hateful nurses who hated their jobs and made me out to look like a bad kid. The same hospital is still running, and I would rather drive 50 miles away than go to the one I just mentioned. The doctor also poked and prodded me with needles during pretty much every visit, which I can do perfectly fine now. In short, hell no. I still don't like going to see them. Even for check-ups.
  24. ♦ Any fruit other than pineapple. ♦ Baked beans - Beans don't taste right to me when they're sweetened. And that's how baked beans taste to me. ♦ Sweet potatoes - I prefer regular potatoes. Usually anything with the word "sweet" attached to its name is something that I will not enjoy eating. ♦ Corn (canned) - On the cob, it's fine. ♦ Licorice - Don't know why. The texture just doesn't do it for me. ♦ Gummy candies - See licorice. ♦ Pepper - It tastes a bit harsh. I don't get how it's supposed to add flavor to whatever it's put on. ♦ Meatloaf - Want to know how to ruin a good cut of meat? Ground it up, overload it with unnecessary ingredients, and bake it. It tastes disgusting. ♦ Macaroni and cheese - I can do cheese. I can do macaroni. But never together. That amount of cheese makes me gag.
