  1. The Adventures of Thesis Writing and Argumentation, Volume XVI.
  2. Kids or no kids, I'm still going to see it. My worst theater experiences have always involved adults anyway.
  3. What caught your attention about “My Little Pony” show? Initially, nothing did. I had to be introduced to the series before I could say I took an interest in it. What does it mean to you to be a member of a community surrounded by controversy? It doesn't mean much to me. People can hate it if they wish. That doesn't change the way I positively view the series. Do you consider yourself “obsessed” with MLP? It usually happens when a new season is around the corner, like right now. But I have more compulsive obsessions than MLP, some of which are year-round. How often do you find yourself thinking about the show? When a new season is coming, it's on my mind quite a bit. How often do you discuss MLP with family, friends and peers? Never. At what age did you find out about the show? I learned about the show's existence when I was 19, but it wasn't until I turned 20 that I started to watch it with my niece. I was hooked after that. What is something you really enjoy about the community? I've noticed that people in the MLP community are friendlier than most members. It pains me to say that other fandoms I'm involved in (Godzilla, Alien/Predator) are not as kind to newcomers or even veterans. The MLP community is a pearl in an ocean of fandoms. What are some of the largest Brony communities in the U.S.? I don't know any bronies in my area, so I'm afraid I don't know. What is something you really dislike about the community? The insane amount of NSFW stuff. But I think that comes with every fandom/community. Do you go to MLP conventions? Never been. I'd like to, though. What are some of the reasons you enjoy MLP? The characters are likable and not just cardboard cutouts. They have their own unique personalities, and this leads to a very diverse set of characters that a lot of cartoons seem to lack. The antics are zany and the lore is also well crafted. Have you ever considered leaving the MLP community in the future? Not really. If I ever leave, it will be because G5 is not as good as G4. That would be a sad day. You being part of the MLP community is a secret to your family, peers and friends? My parents know and don't care. But my friends I do keep it a secret from. If so, why? People I know have openly spewed garbage when discussing the community and fandom. I don't want a target on my back. How many hours a day do you dedicate to the show? Not as much as I do other series. I dedicate more time to it when a new season is around the corner. How much money do you think you’ve spent in MLP merchandise? I used to buy the IDW comics but that was years ago. So probably less than $100. Does your significant other share your passion for MLP show and the community? I don't have a significant other. How long have you been part of the community? The first time I reached out was last week. I never actually took part in a "community" before that time. So I'm a greenhorn.
  4. Bisexual. Mostly women, but I've fallen in love with men twice.
  5. Aside from the MLP fandom, in order of strength: • Godzilla - I have been enamored with the character since I was 4 years old. Admittedly, my love for the Godzilla franchise is stronger than my love for MLP. My room is adorned with merchandise. • Alien/Predator - I saw Predator (1987) when I was 7. I also saw Alien (1979) on television and was scarred at the age of 9. But those scars have since faded. I'm a fan for life. • H. P. Lovecraft - Weird fiction in general has intrigued me. I was first exposed to Lovecraft's work at the age of 11, with The Colour Out of Space. The concept of the unknowable and incomprehensible is something that is frequently explored in his writings. I call it a "fandom" because there are countless readers of his works who engage in fan art, tributes, and conventions. • Dark Souls - Challenging gameplay, lots of lore, and a creative community of fans. Makes me sad that Dark Souls 3 is the final title in the series, because it's one of the few remaining game series that's near and dear to my heart.
  6. Only once. I was playing some sort of video game that involved Princess Luna and some unnamed/unknown ponies. Apparently demons were taking over this riverside town and the world was ending or something like that. Something about a "Red Sun" threatening to destroy everybody. The ponies were in 3D but the environments were realistic (as in, it was as though I'd stepped into this reality). If you can picture the area in this reality, then that's what it was like. I also remember that it was hard to play, and it was a first-person shooter. Eventually the game descended into this weird horror game that had nothing to do with demons or ponies in the end. I don't remember anything other than these details. This would have been in June or July of 2012, because I was taking a Summer Algebra course at the time. It was a pretty stressful period, and I played classic Doom to deal with that tension. My guess is that's where the apocalyptic theme, first-person shooter aspect, and the demons came from.

    movies/tv Best Anime

I would say One Punch Man and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood are the best anime I've ever seen. I'm more of a manga person, though. Most anime are not as good as their manga counterparts. The two I mentioned are the exceptions.
  8. Depends. Is this reformed Discord, or pre-reformed Discord? If it's the latter, he'd probably give me $1 million....in pesos. If it's in legitimate $1 million United States dollars, then yeah. I'd do it. With Trixie.
  9. Tired. Sick. I look and feel like I crawled out of a grave. My eyes have purple bags under them. I feel terrible.
  10. I have yet to see anything that could be considered "paranormal" or "supernatural." However, there was a time when I thought I was haunted or being stalked by demons. When I was a kid, I had sleep paralysis regularly. I never mentioned it to my parents until I was in college, because I believed I was seeing actual demons. Then I brought it up to a psychology professor, he told me to look up the topic of sleep paralysis. It explained everything to a "T"... I believe that there is a logical explanation for most things.
  11. Well, to be fair, I never implied that you did say it (you even said otherwise). And the teaser is merely supposed to raise awareness. That is all. I've seen better teasers, yes, but the ones I'm thinking of are different in tone and have higher budgets to work with. Does that excuse the crunched up shadows? No, it doesn't. But I wouldn't worry about things just yet. If actual clips from the movie are of poor quality, then people should begin to worry.
  12. The art director didn't have a say in the teaser, but I'm quite certain that the first true trailer will be more indicative of how this film will look when it's finished.
  13. They were, actually. A few are even excited for Blade Runner 2049 (a sequel), which comes out the same day as this. But I still don't care. I purchase tickets for movies that I want to see. This is one of them.
  14. Assuming that Lionsgate doesn't pull last minute advertising like they did for Blair Witch and Power Rangers, July through September should be the primary months in which they'll be marketing this film. However, Lionsgate has dropped the ball with marketing before. Not being a doomsayer here. I just know, because they really let me down with Dredd when it was about to be released. People didn't know anything about it. But this? It should be easier to find a target demographic to market this to. Of course, bronies will go see this no matter who it's marketed toward.
  15. Everyone on my Facebook feed: "Wow, Hollywood is out of ideas." Me: "Don't care! Opening day ticket purchase for me."
  16. I'm curious to know what the production budget for this will be. If I had to guess, it will probably be listed as $20 million or less. And yes, while this may not be much, it's still something.
  17. Pretty much this. The franchises that never die are the ones that keep selling merchandise. And even if Friendship is Magic doesn't stay around forever (which is inevitable since nothing lasts forever), that doesn't mean there isn't anything to look forward to once it's said and done. Hasbro will more than likely bring it back some years later. It will be a while, but it'll be around in some capacity.
  18. I'm here to enjoy the present. I won't care if people remember me 20 years after I'm dead, because....I'll be dead. Kind of pointless to have a desire to be remembered if I'm not there to worry about it. You know?
  19. 48 degrees Fahrenheit. Cloudy. No wind or rain. Just chilly. ....It was 73 yesterday. What happened?
  20. 1. Direct a feature film (60+ minutes). 2. Move out of West Virginia. 3. Live on my own. 4. Collaborate with like-minded artists in bigger cities (Atlanta, San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc.). 5. Compose an original song that doesn't sound like something a novice would come up with.
  21. Richard Steven Horvitz still has the vocal chords for this. Zim is back!
  22. Visiting the DMV office to renew my license or pay fees. Any time I go there, it usually takes three hours to get something done...
  23. YES, a teaser for MLP and Trailer #1 for Baby Driver! I have two things to look forward to this week!
  24. I remember reading about this in a magazine a long, long time ago. It had just as little information available, and unfortunately I don't remember the name of the magazine I found it in. This would have been in 2002. I probably didn't pay too much mind to it because I wasn't a fan of previous generations of MLP during that time. I would have been in grade school or middle school as well, so liking "girly" stuff was frowned upon much more back in the day. But I remember it being a snippet, and not a full article. Just a mention. Other movies mentioned in the magazine I think included a preview for The Adventures of Pluto Nash. Another rumored project lightly touched upon in a snippet was the eventual 2004 Garfield film, which was still in pre-production. I wish I still had it. But both of those films were forgettable, and I don't think a film based on the MLP franchise would have gone over well in 2003, either.
