Starlight is actually way younger than Twilight.

My idea of her being younger works better and makes more sense then her being older.

I always got this sense she was a young pony trying to act like an older pony. But thanks to Twilights help and understanding, she's gone back to acting her real age, a pony just coming oUT of her teens . (19-20) And it fits. Her village was only about a couple months old when the Mane 6 arrived. Timeline for me: 18----- Starlight leaves homes and goes about setting up her village. 19---Driven from her village by Mane 6 20-- Time Travel, redemption, than becoming Twilight's pupil Meaning she was still technically a child/teen living at home when the first 3 seasons were happening. Left home around the start of season 4. Started building her village around the midpoint of season 4. ( Maud Pie flashback did show the village still in the process of being built sometime after season 4 episode 18) Actually, she might actually be close to Spike's age, if slightly older, which might be why she gets along with him so well and kind of treats him with a little more respect than the Mane 6 .

I love the way the season 7 finale continued showing the Starlight/Spike friendship. She was sharing with him her worries. It's like she is a second sister to him.

Actually I do consider Maud Starlight's best friend. Just as Twilight is Starlight's best friend. Who says you can't have more then one best friend? Twilight constantly calls the Mane 7 her best friends.

I can confirm that Tempest Shadow will not be in season 8.

I read the description for every episode of Season 8. I can confirm there will be no Tempest Shadow.

Definitely more Starlight. She's one of the best characters on the show. Consistently has good to great episodes.

Starlight has been a main character since the start of Season 7. Only haters would deny this.

Won't happen because most of everyone she cares about is in the human world. I don't see her leaving them. The Equestria chapter of her life is over. People have to accept that. She most likely has made her peace with Celestia offscreen. By the way, I'very seen the descriptions of every episode in season 8, and I am happy to say that Sunset isn't in any of them. 😈

Despite what people think, the only reason Celestia and Luna are so powerful is because they've had centuries to build up their powers.

Starlight would definitely win. Shadow Play has firmly established that Starlight can be and is more powerful than an alicorn. After all, if Starswirl can, why not Starlight?😈 I get this image of Starlight deniers screaming in fury and frustration now that they can't use the alicorn excuse to downplay Starlight. 😈

Nothing about her motivation, backstory, or anything is weak about Starlight. The problem here is the fans who are mostly clueless. Everything about Starlight is actually very brilliant to anyone who actually takes the time to think about it. It fits perfectly the messenge the episode was trying to present how even the smallet things can lead to a string of things more devastating in the future. Problem is that most fans are idiots. Let me give you a comparison. It's like asking Twilight (Starlight) how she became a princess (why she started her village) and her responding that it was because Fluttershy was bullied (her friend left her). Them becoming heroes is due to a small, seemingly insignificant thing in the past which led to a serise of events that led to that outcome. Exactly the same as Starlight. And it fits Zecora's explanation to why the timelines are different. And Twilight's explaining how a small event in the past leaves devastating results in the future. Like I said, Starlight's story is brilliant. It's the fans that are idiots.

It's a fan invented idea that Starlight is older than the Mane 6. More likely she is the same age or even younger. In fact, she was given her first mane style, to make her seem older than she really is.

Never would happen. The voice actor would never agree to being a permanent part of the cast. He has never even watched the show.
