Those are instructed by the education system which is different from everyday life, to find it offensive because some people use it for bad reasons but those are few nowadays i think. But mainly it is context to WW2 when it literally was used as a slur compared to today which is like saying "Brit" or in this case "Jap". Here is Quora answer to it. The point is context not the word. Not inherently, no. It would depend on the intent and context. There are people in some countries that use it as a slur, and if you want to avoid being associated with them, then you’re better off not using it. On the other hand, most Japanese (in Japan) are not particularly aware of this and for the most part care little either way. I’ve seen it used locally as an abbreviation in various contexts, though abbreviations for a country are more often than not reduced to 2 letters not 3, with either JA or JP being the most common. https://www.quora.com/Is-it-racist-to-refer-to-something-Japanese-as-Jap -

I'll answer it here. No i mean modern context is different than old context. Saying Jap was something bad, now its positive and just is a shortage for Japanese person. You don't have to cling to the past for something to mean bad thing. The word itself is harmless. It doesn't harm anyone except people who empowers it thats the main point -

Its not hateful to call Trump Orange skinned, but this is?
Cadancerules replied to Cadancerules's topic in General Discussion
So being a negro means being black, what is wrong with being from Africa?. You see the logic here, its only racist because people say it is racist, they ignore the context. Well if i say homo, does it mean its bad to say it. So is there something wrong with liking men?. See you are kinda proving my point. -

That was by the forefathers, European or American demographics don't do this today. Like there are countries today, like Bule is used in Indonesia for whites. But the thing is there is nothing wrong with being you, same is being black etc. The only one who see this as bad are racists. So they are actually making racism by empowering it to be racist, the only way to stop it is proper context and learn from history and move on -

Making a joke of someone being close ties to the president is nothing wrong with, its a shitpost on a humor level by assosiating a religious unhumanitarian movement to an ape, lots of people get called apes as an insult, also there is issues if VJ is even african or not, so its more or less a trap to see the bias take on it by the media, considering what is empowering it. But its actually a clever joke. Racism in context would be to call the race of a person inferior or demean someone in a very obvious way. Examples would be black or white trash. I am not sure what Gringos mean but i can only assume it means white. Like the only racism that exist is to empower it to become racist. Context is the keyrole. -

So was japs for the Japanese. But as i know it, there is nothing wrong with being Japanese. You only empower it to be racism if you make it bad in modern pretext. By making it a bad word just adds that it is shameful of being black, japanese or whatever. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paleface Paleface (Native Americans) white people.[239] I guess if someone calls me that i am gonna report it as racist. See, there is nothing wrong being you! Here is a link for more racial slurs if interested https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ethnic_slurs -

So you are saying its not racism or hateful if majority is in control and get joked about like orange monkey etc. So essentially people from European colonial powers should all die, the others like Blacks, hispanics are totally innocent. Way to project hate in one sided form, not racist at all. Like the only racist is people calling other racist, they are just as much racist as they claim republicans to be, its a subjective form of racism on what racism is which makes them racist. The only consensus right form of racism is if you believe your race is above other. Thats it, end of story. The other part how democrat phonies defines it if you dont agree with all their policies is how these phonies will define it, its not a issue problem nah its just we own you so you must play with us essentially. Thats by default racism by not respecting other people to vote on issues and rather pull that lever on it. Problem is not the words itself, its how people exploit and manipulate it. The words are only racist if you empower it with such. [racism 1] or negro purely means black, its nothing racist about it, like there is nothing wrong with being african thats why its not racist just like albino is not racist towards europeans. Like context is the key here. I mean indians/native americans called the invaders white face, so if someone calls me white face am i gonna go on CNN and get outragous? Or just ignore it as a regular word. The problem here is people are outraged about words that is not by default racist but becomes it because media claims to be and it empowers it to be racist. I mean if i were to walk down and say hey you stupid ugly person, ok that is rude and if i were to say our race is better than yours in some regard, that is racist. But i think its so much manipulation and lies of what people define as racism. -

Its pretty much one sided big oversensitivity issue. Like if anything i consider democrats to be more racist than republican, democrats were the one to make the KKK and Jim Crow laws, only in the 60s they started to change somewhere around there with civil rights for blacks, now the idea itself is good but i wonder if they just did that so that they could exploit the voting process, not based on issues but just on who you are. Like that is by default racism if you ask me since they dont respect the fact that some people think differently based on issues, and not what party they are supposed to belong too. If they argue on issues thats ok but it just seems more like "if you are like this then no" its just a huge insult to respecting that people think differently on issues -
Well when you pat a cat, what do you think? To me i think of life in general and think of that. Friends, family, nature. Like why we even exist. I dunno, animals just overall helps me value stuff i feel.
-
Depends. Do you think of questions like why do we even exist, then funerals may be ok. Like i always look at animals and wonder why some are good and bad. So i dunno, i don't mind it but i am sort of selfish like i only think it matters if i know that person. Though i think dying in general just sucks

gaming How is Nintendo successful?
Cadancerules replied to CastletonSnob's topic in Media Discussion
Well i grew up with Super Nintendo, Mario and Zelda were quite good at the time. I mean i don't think Nintendo is as good now as it was, i've been more into Playstation though i tend to mix between Xbox and Playstation. But success doesn't equal good. Like musicians can be quite successful that doesnt mean that it is good. So really if they are popular for something i really don't care, just aslong as it rules then i am down with it, like Lord of the Rings is a timeless king series! -
