The comics will say different, and I agree with everyone else that they have similar personalities of "show-boating", but their massive egos would clash on too many occasions. This doesn't mean they can't be friends, but it'll be difficult if they tried. -

Panderp: I didn't at first because as I kid (this was before Friendship is Magic) I didn't really appreciate it because I thought it was "for babies". Boy was I wrong. Not only do I love MLP Friendship is Magic, but it helped me appreciate some of the old My Little Pony. Not to mention a lot of friends it's given me. And the amazing stories and fanwork people make from it. -
Panderp: Sadly despite I love Apple Jack, based on their abilities, Twilight Sparkle would win.

My little pwny made a poll about which one of the mane 6 you would have as a girlfriend. I noticed in the description he was considereate to include that the straight girls, gay guys, people who thought it was creepy could pick the "N/A" option if they didn't want to be apart of it.
