Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works (first couple of episodes) and Fate/Stay Night Heaven’s Feel (first movie in the trilogy): 

Uhh where do I even start with this? Guess I’ll keep it brief: There are aspects of this series that I like and others that bother me. I much prefer the mobile game Fate/Grand Order, in terms of both writing and the cast of characters. 

I will say that Cú Chulainn is consistently my favorite character no matter what form he takes, though.

I learned how to ride a bicycle once and then completely forgot how to do it several years later 

I never bothered relearning how to do it either. If I ever needed one for transportation I’d just buy an adult tricycle… 

I’d choose to go by either my ponysona’s name, “Moony” or my fursona’s name, “Nanners”. 

irl my close family calls me “Sis” or “Auntie”. I don’t mind if close family calls me that, since I’m still in the closet about my gender identity. But since I’m non-binary I’d actually prefer more masculine nicknames like “Bro” or “Uncle” or even “Auncle” (neopronoun combination of “aunt” and “uncle”) 

I feel like my home state, Idaho, is the illegitimate child of Florida that accidentally migrated to the northwest 

Our neighboring states of California, Oregon and Washington probably look at us like: 

And Utah is like that one “friend” who only hangs out with you because they’re super nice and they feel sorry for you

Well, I found a base featuring a group of 9 humanoid characters, so I’ve been trying to do an ambitious base edit of my self-insert character with all 8 main protagonists from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

I’ve already gotten an error message in Photoshop once though, so if it crashes and I lose all my progress I’m going to get really frustrated/upset. You know, this is probably a “sign” that I need to quit messing around with bases and get some actual drawing done. 

Maybe I should quit working on this base before I get any more invested in it and start working on those “Draw To Adopt” and “Draw This In Your Style” pictures I mentioned earlier, instead.  

Confused: watching some Pokémon Showdown vids on YouTube where someone who apparently used to be a mod on the site completely wipes the floor with deceptively weak-looking Pokémon. Case in point: they actually destroyed someone’s Mega Rayquaza using a level 1 Magikarp. I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.

I understand that there’s some sort of chess-like strategy at play here, but I feel like a caveman trying to figure it out. Despite being a Pokémon fan ever since ye olden days of Red/Blue, competitive play has never made any sense to me.

I wanna color in some more bases of my fursona but I don’t want people to think I’m a one-trick pony! (no pun intended) Maybe I’ll mix things up by participating in some DTAs (“Draw To Adopt”) or doing DTIYS (“Draw This In Your Style”) stuff for random people 

Terrible. I’m running a low grade fever and my sinuses hurt so badly it feels like I got smacked in the face with a mallet.  I can’t even wear my glasses right now because it hurts my face too much. I took some ibuprofen and that helped quite a bit but I still feel awful. 

I am a simple pony. I wish for a plushie of my fursona, a Kittydog named Nanners. I’d want the plushie to be 1 meter / 3 feet long, made out of minky, and weighted. I know that I could custom order something like that from Etsy, but I’ve done research into it and that kinda thing would cost a small fortune to commission. 

I call my parents “Mama” and “Dad”. 

Two of my favorite husbandos, Johngalli A from Stone Ocean and Gyomei Himejima from Demon Slayer, are blind. This is because I’m visually impaired in real life (blind in my right eye and severe astigmatism in both eyes) and so it makes me feel good to see representations of visually impaired characters in the media. Especially ones who are as handsome and strong as Johngalli and Gyomei 

In case you’re wondering how I use a computer, I use a tablet and keep it pretty close to my face. I type in 18 point font when writing, and I zoom in really close (like 200% to 300%) whenever I’m doing art or edits. 

“No, we can’t name the goat ‘Nanners’ because that’s my fursona’s name!” 

Lazy. I’m tempted to cancel my Photoshop subscription because I’m super unmotivated right now, but I know that I’ll start getting hit with inspiration as soon as I uninstall it. Happens every time. 

I got my Johngalli A plushie in the mail. I love him so much! He’s show-accurate down to the last detail, including a very thick backside  I’m unsure of whether that was a deliberate design choice or I just happened to get one with extra stuffing, but it’s pretty amusing either way! 

Thinking about all the good stuff coming down the pipeline: 

end of July: Helluva Boss Season 2 premiere  

August: Kirby’s Dream Buffet (tentative, and I also need to buy and play Kirby And The Forgotten Lands at some point too) 

September: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R (and more Stone Ocean episodes I guess, but I don’t use Netflix anymore so I don’t really care)  

October: Persona 5 on the Switch 

November: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

This one ain't from my birth year (it IS from yours though). Definitely does have that techno feel to it a lot of 80s songs have, but, it was released right in 1990. I guess you can say it was "born" in the 80s, released in the 90s.

 

It’s interesting that you brought up Depeche Mode, because that’s one of my older sister’s favorite bands. She’s an 80s kid, born a full decade before me. Everybody used to say that my parents raised “two sets of kids” because my older sisters were born in the 80s and my younger brother and I were born in the 90s!

This definitely sounds like a 90s song, but, intuitively, those early 90s songs still had some 80s feel to them.

 I actually assumed that it was an 80s song for most of my life until I stumbled across it on a list of hit songs from my birth year while doing research for this thread! 

I’m eating a cherry and pineapple flavored popsicle

I didn’t watch very much DBZ as a kid, but this fanmade film by one of the Castlevania animators makes me feel like I really missed out. Really wish that this short could be expanded into a mini-series at the very least. I wonder how Akira Toriyama feels about it? 

My stories must be pretty decent considering the amount of Kudos my works have received on AO3.  Not even remotely close to that of the big name fans’s, of course, but nothing to sneeze at, either. 

Just learned that the Persona games are coming to the Switch! Persona 5 is coming out in October so now I know what I want for my birthday!  (my birthday’s in November)

Yeah, they literally just announced them 2 weeks ago. Persona 5 is coming out in october though they haven't announced Persona 3 or 4's release date yet apart from "coming soon"

That’s good news, Persona 5 was the one that I wanted to play really badly so I’m glad it’s coming out in October! Depending on how early or late into the month it releases, it would make a good birthday present for me (my birthday’s in November). I’m looking forward to Persona 4 too, whenever it gets released.
