Regardless your just assuming she prepped for all this shit without evidence. You also have to take into accout that Discord was stoned the last time she was in Equestria so she wouldn't have known that he was now a threat.

Sunset, an arrogant idiot? She knew about the Elements of Harmony, knew what would happen if brought into the human world, was able to effectively able to break into the Crystal Empire, and was able to tele-combo Twilight

 

She obviously prepped well before hand and she wants to succeed, it'd be dumb of her to not account for Discord. And she is not dumb as seen by her extensive planning

Putting aside the fact that how she came upon this knowledge about the Elements is an unexplained plothole at this point, it was never stated she had any knowledge on Discord or even something like the crystal heart.

Effectively broke into the Crystal Empire? She simply walked through a mirror, snuck down the hall, swapped the crown, and just stood there long enough for Twilight to spot her. She's not fucking Solid Snake.

We saw that Celestia can't use the Elements properly, her inability to redeem NMM is proof of that

 

Regardless, the fact that Sunset was confident in her ability to kill Discord is proof to me of her superiority

Simple, what Sunset had corrupted required a shot of its own to purify, Discord's corruption was ended just by blasting him. Besides, Sunset Shimmer isn't a fool, she is confident in taking Equestria down, despite knowledge of pretty much everything there

His corruption was undone dy the large dome of friendship enveloping the town. Plus just blasting him didn't get rid of the vines that were growing undergroud for 1000+ years. It took the Tree of Harmony to put them away.

If he could do that, why not do it against Tirek? His reality warping(kind of lame to begin with) doesn't work on things stronger than him

 

 

 

I find it funny how you call Discord's reality warping lame while giving praise to Sunset who's only accomplishments were turning Snips and Snails into demons, removing a wall from the school, mind controlling a few dozen teens, and firing off an energy blast of unknown power. Discord turned Ponyville into the chaos capital of the world. He made buildings levitate and 2 dimensional. He drank glass, turned choclate milk into a grenade, time travelled, made himself 2 dimensional, made clones of himself, removed limbs, mindfucked the mane 6, made the sun and moon rise/set and various other shit. Him not using his power on Tirek could be a case of plot induced stupidity or as you said Tirek was too strong for Discord's magic to work. Hell Tirek wasn't all that impressive based on showings but since he had the magic of Discord and the alicorns we knew he was capable of far more. Sunset lacks anything to really scale her power off of though and has nothing to prove that she can negate Discord's power.

I fail to see how that compares to making logic your bitch. Discord could just turn her into an apple and be done with it.
